[001] a bad influence

                                    Juniper Jacobs was supposed to be the golden child.

                                    She was the youngest sibling and the only girl which her mom was happy about. She was spoiled absolutely rotten, expected to be the one to redeem the Jacobs family. Aaron, the oldest, was a weirdo with an addiction to rather bizarre porn. And then there was her brother, Nate, who was a football star and basically the all-American boy. He was seen as perfect; despite hiding severe anger issues and a violent streak he'd inherit from their father. Their mom was a hypocrite, a liar, and just a straight up bitch while their father was all of those things and so much worse. But no one knew the truth: that they were hiding dark secrets behind a white picket fence.

                                    However, Juno was proving to be the first crack in their foundation.

                                    Before junior year, Juno had pretty much followed the rules as best she could. She did everything possible to avoid her dad's wrath and to maintain their perfect image. But Juno was growing exhausted from all of the expectations her family threw on her. So, by the time Juno reached junior year, she was looking for a change. And that change came in the form of Victoria Song.

                                     Victoria was effortlessly cool, having a reputation for wild partying and basically getting in all kinds of trouble. Everyone liked her (some were afraid of her) but she didn't have any real genuine friends. Just associates and acquaintances who stuck by her side to boost their own popularity. Juno didn't think Victoria would ever notice a goody-two shoes like her. But after Juno basically covered for Victoria one day when she'd nearly get caught smoking weed in the girls' bathrooms, Victoria saw the girl as a new best friend. Victoria took Juno under her wing and gave her a total makeover - both inside and out. No longer was Juno the perfect daughter, she was finally free to do what she wanted and live life without the consequences.

                                    She barely participated in school, she was drinking and smoking weed, and she even changed the way she dressed. Juno was following Victoria's lead, allowing the bad influence to basically change her for the better. Or what seemed like the better.

                                   Victoria had a fucked up homelife with a basket case for a mom and an absentee dad, leaving a string of creepy boyfriends to try and fill the role of father in his absence. The story went that Victoria's mom was an actress or at least she aspired to be one. She had done a couple minor roles here and there but she had never gotten that instant fame that she wanted. It only got worse when she got pregnant with Victoria by her dad who was a wannabe movie producer. They were supposed to have their happily ever after but after Victoria's mom became pregnant, he ran for the Hollywood hills and never looked back. And Victoria's mom just went downhill from there, constantly trying to fill the void her father left with good for nothing men who'd only leave her more damaged in their wake.

                                As the two got closer, Victoria often stayed with Juno or whatever older boyfriend she had at the time. And Victoria confided in Juno about it all, which made Juno confide in Victoria about how things weren't so perfect at home. Finding out that they were both so fucked up only managed to make the girls grow closer to each other. They were a lot more like sisters than friends seeing as they had one main thing in common: they were two fucked up girls from fucked up homes just trying to feel something other than pain.

                                 So as their senior year at East Highland High loomed closer and closer, it was no surprise that the two girls were as close as ever. They were hardly ever apart unless they absolutely had to be. And even then, they were texting and calling each other so it was like there had been no distance between them whatsoever.

                                Currently, the two girls were hanging out in Victoria's bedroom and getting dressed. Well, Juno was already finished. She was currently sitting on the vanity dresser, looking at herself in the mirror as Victoria finished getting dressed.

                               "What do you think?" Victoria questioned.

                               Juno looks over at Victoria, her eyes moving up and down her best friend's body to admire the skintight dress she had on. Along with slightly ruined fishnets, Victoria's look was basically done once she added her usual amount of accessories.

                               "You look hot," Juno comments with a smile. She couldn't help but feel as though she paled in comparison, although her outfit wasn't too bad within itself. Maybe she was showing a little more skin than she should've in her tight halter top but she was an adult. Well... almost one. She could wear whatever the fuck she wanted.

                               "Yeah. You look pretty hot too except...," Victoria trails off.

                               Before Juno could ask what Victoria meant, she'd move in close and help to wipe the corner of Juno's mouth which has some smudged lipgloss on it.

                                "There you go. Now you look really hot," Victoria says with a small smirk, dragging her thumb along Juno's lower lip before she finally pulls away to put on her rings.

                                Juno touches her lip when Victoria isn't looking, still feeling the girl's fingertips there. She then looks at herself in the mirror, although she doesn't fully recognize herself. She still struggled with knowing who she was. While she felt the most comfortable with this new persona of hers, it still didn't feel one hundred percent complete. In a way, Juno still felt as though she was trying much too hard to be someone she wasn't.

                                "We have to do something big this year," Juno suddenly declared. "Something really different than the usual shit. I want this year to go down in history for the both of us."

                                Victoria smiles. "That's exactly what I was thinking. Do you have any grand ideas?"

                                "Not yet. Maybe it'll come to us when the school year starts. But for now, I just know we have to do something special," Juno declared.

                                "Deal. Now let's get the hell out of here. I'm bored," Victoria says with a grin, now beginning to leave the room.

                                Juno glances at herself in the mirror one more time before she hops off the dresser and joins Victoria out of the room. They begin heading towards the front door so they could leave. But unfortunately for them, they'd run into one unexpected but heavily dreaded obstacle in the process.

                                "What're you two ladies up to?" Colin questioned.

                                Colin was the newest sleazeball that Victoria's mom happened to fall head over heels for. Not only was he a deadbeat that loved to drink (not too much of a shocker since they had met each other at a bar) and seemed to have a thing for younger girls. In particular, Victoria and Juno.

                                "None of your fuckin' business, perv," Victoria snapped, slapping his hand away when he reached out to touch her.

                                "You better be careful. Dressing up like that will attract the wrong kind of attention, sweetheart," Colin warned in a sing-song tone.

                                Both Victoria and Juno stick the middle finger up at Colin before they leave, heading to the park so they could smoke weed. Technically, they were supposed to be going to McKay's end of the summer party. But Victoria thought it'd be lame and honestly, Juno didn't want to run into her brother. 

                                Victoria does the honors first, handing it over to Juno when she's done. Juno helps herself, although she instantly feels the euphoric high right away. She's half convinced this weed is laced with something else. And knowing Victoria, it probably was. But hey, Juno wasn't exactly complaining.

                                They then make their way out into town, walking around the shops and stuff. They manage to gain lots of attention, including the wrong kind that Colin warned them about. Juno didn't really care. She felt powerful in that moment, like she and Victoria were on top of the world and no one could touch them. The two girls were in their prime and this was as good as it was ever going to get.

                                Might as well make the most of it before she's middle aged and depressed.

                                "Mothers, lock up your sons!" Juno loudly declared, throwing her head back and giggling. "Vic and Juno are on the prowl!"

                                That earns the two a couple of whistles in response, making the two girls chuckle in response. Victoria then loops her arm around Juno's as they keep walking.

                                "God, I'm starving," Victoria groans. "You wanna go and get some cheese fries?"

                                "I thought you'd never ask. But... I don't have any money on me," Juno responds.

                                Victoria snorts. "Me neither. But c'mon, I know a place where it'll be fine. Trust me."

                                They went to some fast food joint where Victoria gets flirty with one of the cashiers. As it turned out, Victoria very obviously knew the guy although he looked like he should be going to college.

                                "You do realize that if I keep giving you free shit, I could lose my job?" the guy, Alex, hissed over at them.

                                "I know. But... I figured you loved me so it's worth the risk. Besides, if you do this little favor for me, I'll do a little favor right back," Victoria offered.

                                Alex seems to contemplate Victoria's words for a moment before he smiles. "What's the magic word?"

                                "Blowjob," Victoria matches his grin.

                                "What about your friend here?" Alex looks Juno up and down.

                                "Hey, I'm way better and more than enough for you. Unless you've grown tired of me all of a sudden," Victoria answered.

                                "No, you're more than enough. Trust me. Uh, will the two cheese fries be all?" Alex asks.

                                "And some chicken wings, Juno suddenly chimed in. Alex looks over at Juno who immediately plasters a smile onto her lips. "Thanks, Alex."

                                "You better give me way more than a fucking BJ for that," Alex scoffs, looking at Victoria who smiles at him.

                                "Don't worry, baby. I got you," Victoria assured him with a wink.

                                And by that, Victoria basically meant the two of them would have sex in a public bathroom. Juno had already started eating while the two went at it. After all, Victoria had to pay up somehow. And seeing as she didn't have money, she had to pay with her body. Thankfully, it didn't last too long because Victoria was back out trying to fix her dress while Alex rushed back over to the front with a happier attitude.

                                "Are you okay?" Juno asks as Victoria sits down at the table with her.

                                "Peachy keen. Save some wings for me, fat ass," Victoria teased.

                                "Sorry," Juno playfully apologized.

                                "Who eats cheese fries with wings anyway?" Victoria asked as she began to eat.

                                "Me. I've got the munchies like crazy. That Alex guy is kind of a dick, by the way," Juno adds.

                                "Maybe. But he's better than the other guys I used to mess around with. And the free food never hurts," Victoria shrugged.

                                "Hey, why'd you dog me out in front of him? You made it seem like I was a fucking snowflake or something. I've fucked before," Juno adds.

                                "If it wasn't for me teaching you how to kiss and stuff, you'd still be inexperienced. So you're welcome," Victoria remarked.

                                Desperate to lose her virginity, Juno had gone to Victoria who taught her the basics. The rest she'd have to learn from the guy she ended up sleeping with. And now, Juno had a couple notches on her belt. She didn't have a lengthy rap sheet like Victoria but she was getting there.

                                "Thank you, oh wise and powerful one. Whatever would I do without you," Juno teased. "I can't wait until we're able to finally leave this dead end town and become famous."

                                "Yeah! I'm going to be the movie star my mom never could be. Or a porn star, whichever one comes first. But either way, we'll get so fucking rich that we get a penthouse overlooking the city and live the fabulous life we deserve," Victoria smiles at the thought.

                                "We just have one final year of school left and then we can run away and live out our dreams," Juno assured her.

                                Victoria nods. "One more year... sounds easy enough to me."

                                But for both girls, it'd be anything but easy.

notes: here is the first chapter! this is basically just to expound on juno and vic's friendship which is so messy and toxic and they're both super codependent on each other. this takes heavy inspo from the movie thirteen as you'll quickly see if you've watched it. next chapter is when juno first meets josh and things will kick off from there
