Hello everyone! This story was written following the Aim to Engage Day 14 prompt to write about something you find truly  beautiful. To me, that is an orca whale! I hope you enjoy my story!

When most people think of beauty in animals, they may think of animals such as the illusive snow leopard with its beautiful, sleek coat.

Or perhaps you may think of an animal like that of a peacock with its beautiful feathers on display.

However, very rarely do people think of an animal like a fish to be beautiful.

Even though technically not a fish, the orca whale, a marine mammal, may not be considered the most beautiful animal just by merely seeing it.

However, the behavior and intelligence from this animal is so outstanding and moving that they have easily become the most beautiful animal to me.

Take, for instance, the close bonds and ties they have with their family, or pod. They always stay by their side, sometimes for their whole lives. The way they care about and protect their family members, especially the little ones, is so remarkable.

Even the way they communicate with one another, the different languages and cultures they have. They are animals that have the closest kind of society to ours. In that way, I feel a deeper connection with them.

Even in terms of their looks. The shiny, pristine colors, their patterns of white and black, and the soulful eyes that tell all the stories of the sea.

I know that every time I'm on the water, I look out for these black and white beauties. Whenever you make eye contact with these creatures, connections are made. This in itself is truly beautiful.
