Today has been a pretty nice day for me. Except for the fact that I burned my arm.
Yep, I'm clumsy! 😂
Honestly, it's not a bad burn, and it's sort of a pathetic story, but I'll tell you guys about it anyways~
So I was in the kitchen, and I was preparing lunch. On the menu today was a hot dog. How classy 😂 It was quick and simple and I'm usually able to boil hot dogs well, since this was not my first time.
So the time comes where I have to switch off the stove and take the hot dogs out of the boiling water. Like an idiot, I try to pick up two hot dogs at once.
..I know 😥
All of a sudden, water sprays up like an orca whale did a dive into it and decided to cover most of my right arm.
As anyone would, I flinched and held my arm as pain started to set in. Suddenly, I remembered an AmazingPhil video I watched on this very subject and recalled how he had went through certain steps to help the burn.
It went like so...
Step 1) Run the burned area under cold water for about ten minutes.
Step 2) Cover the burn in cellophane to keep from scarring.
So simple and easy to remember! SO, following the advice of Phil, I ran my arm under cold water for about a minute.
I know that's way less than ten minutes, buy..whatever!
After that, I added in my own step and covered my arm with Aloe Vera gel, which helped tremendously. I highly recommend using this gel when you have a burn. I applied the gel all over my arm and quickly wrapped it with cellophane.
I was surprisingly competent this situation! I could totally help you guys with your burns, so just hit me up! 😄
