My Journey
By KawaiiQueen
You may not know me, but if you're reading this right now, you might get a good idea of who I am. Somehow, it felt almost impossible to write about my life. So many wonderful, memorable things have happened in my lifetime, and I'm just getting started. With everything happening, recently, and my future growing near, I felt that I should reflect on my past self and how I got to where I am now. Enjoy reading about my journey through life.

My Early Life

I, at one time, was small and inexperienced. The world seemed so big and full of experiences at the time, it was intimidating and awe-inspiring at the same time. Now that I've grown, the world has some experiences, but it seems a bit smaller than before. I had a great life, growing up. Not that I'm that much older now, but when I was smaller, the biggest role models I had were my parents, and they still are today. I grew especially close to my mother growing up, and I have a special bond with her today.

I really didn't expect to have a special interest for anything. I thought to just go about life and do what I needed to. Granted, I didn't know anything about what I would become or what I wanted to become. All I thought of was small things, such as what to eat that day, what to do, etc. I didn't really have this desire to look deeply into the future and decide what to do. Now though, as I am maturing, I am starting to look more into my future, but sometimes I prefer to just reflect and see where I am. That's what I enjoy about these kind of projects, so let's get into it. Like I said, I never really expected to have a passion. Oh my, that didn't last long.

How I Got Into Musical Theater

I remember a specific memory from my early childhood. My mother and I were out of town, a ways away from my home. We had gone into a CD shop and I remember her bringing out a black, CD. Engraved on the cover were the words "Phantom Of The Opera - Highlights." I was sitting in the backseat, hugging my stuffed animal, because I had an obsession with them growing up, and I still do today. I remember her turning to me and saying "Can we listen to Mommy's music real quick?" I nodded, eager to learn what her type of music was.

I was greeted by the blaring sound of an organ playing. It was a completely new sound to me, strange in its own way, yet beautiful, haunting, and mysterious. I found the sound so endearing as the Overture for the musical started playing. I listened intently to the soundtrack as we rode back home. Somehow, deep in my heart, I already knew the words to the song Think Of Me. Ever since that day, I got absolutely hooked on this musical. I absolutely loved every song, every chord, and every note. It was so magical to me. This gave way to my future passion in musicals.

I loved watching them, listening to them, and eventually, I started to be in them. I started off with my first musical when I was 8 years old - "The Wizard Of Oz." It was an insanely fun time to get to know all the kids and to be part of a professional production. I did this production with the wonderful company known as Moonlight Theater Company. I recommend going to see their shows, or if you are interested, maybe auditioning for one. It's a great group with great people, and you'll certainly enjoy the productions they put on. Soon, I started looking into other plays and musicals to audition, and I found a small company that I performed with for years. The people there were nice, and the plays were quaint and humble. I was there until recently, when I left for other, possibly bigger opportunities.

Now, I am currently performing in city plays. If you ever want to come see me, ask me where I perform and what okay I'm doing and I will give you the information. It's an amazing company, the director, choreographer, and the cast members are incredibly nice, and they're amazing people to work with. I have had an amazing time working with them, and I've only done one show with them! I am currently about to do my next show with them, "Fiddler On The Roof." I look forward to it, I know it'll be great.

Piano

Even though this happened a little before I started working with the smaller company and way before I worked with the city, I would consider that I took up the hobby while I was enjoying musical theater. My mother pushed me towards it, and I thank her for it, it's a great attribute to have, to play an instrument. I find that in theater, sometimes it's nice to know how to play an instrument. It was hard, I had to work at it, but now, I can read sheet music, and I am still looking for ways to improve. It's nice to connect with music even more, through creating it and singing to it. It feels nice to have a lot of interests to expand on.

I have been taking piano for about 1 year and a half, almost 2 years, starting in January of 2018. It has been the best time, and my teacher is absolutely wonderful. She really has inspired me and given me books on my level that have pushed me to work harder and pass them. I really love working with her and playing piano with her. At some times, she will play songs for me to show me rhythm and how they're supposed to sound. Her playing is beautiful and elegant, she has obviously had so much experience. It's pushed me to be like her, and to be like the famous composers I see in my music books.

Failed Interests

At one point in my life, I was trying to find myself and discover what my true interests were. This was the time where I developed anxiety and disinterest, and I didn't feel like performing in musicals anymore. Boy, I didn't realize that the decision I thought I had made wouldn't last for long. As I started expanding my "interests", I found one that I thought I was truly passionate about - violin. I heard about people playing them, and I thought that it was the most elegant, classy thing you could ever do. As soon as I took it up, I realized that I didn't have a passion for it. I found it boring to practice every day, and I found myself not practicing daily anymore, and trying to find excuses not to practice.

After a month, or two, I stopped, because I really didn't find it interesting. I don't regret my choice, because it wasn't really my passion. Prior to this whole situation, I wanted to take up the art of drawing. Now, this wasn't really a "failed interest" to say, I actually enjoyed it. When the interest started to deteriorate, it was when I took up a class on it. My art style was based on the Japanese art style, the "anime art style." I found the style so unique and nice, and I wanted to learn how to draw in this style. When I took up a class, they didn't teach me that style. In contrast, they taught me how to draw things and images I wasn't really interested in. Since I stopped participating in that class, I still draw from time to time on my own, and it's much more enjoyable.

Writing

From the beginning of when I started school and started to learn new, "mature" words (no, not swear words), I found such an interest in creating stories and watching them unfold before my eyes. It seemed so amazing that I could create characters out of thin air, making a plot work so nicely, but there was something missing. An audience. I couldn't stand to just read my stories aloud to only myself anymore, I wanted to share my writing with someone, better yet, with the world. But I was still young, I didn't know who to contact, and I certainly didn't have the money to publish my works. I'm glad I didn't know how to publish back then, because, frankly, my old works were, in a word, terrible. But, that didn't last for long. As I grew older, I learned about something interesting..

Wattpad

How I learned about Wattpad was a nice story. I remember my best friend, of seven years, writing something on her phone. After asking her what she was doing, she explained to me about Wattpad - a worldwide site, where you could publish books for everyone to see. It was basically a social media account, but with more meaning, because you publish something and make it your own. After getting permission from my parents, I decided to download the app and make an account. I started my first book, called "This Is Me!" It's a type of blog/message board book, where you can talk to me freely and openly.

My History On Wattpad

As I said earlier, I published my first book, "This Is Me!" when I first started Wattpad. Today, I am on the third book of that series. I stop each book when it reaches its 100th chapter, as a tradition that I thought was nice to start. Now, it's a part of my book series, and I will keep it going as long as I keep publishing the "This Is Me!" book series. Along with that series, I have published a number of original books.

"The Violinist" was one of my first original books. The story features the heroine, Emilia, who is the best violinist in the world. Her parents want her to marry the conceited, obnoxious composer, Anthony, but when she meets the goofy, light-hearted, Joseph, her feelings are directed towards him, and he returns the feelings back. If you want to find out more, check out the story, written in 2016.

"Imaginary Friend" was the other first of my original books. The story is about two best friends, Celia and Jack. There's only one big thing that is odd about their friendship - Jack is imaginary. Or so they thought.. When he cuts his finger on a magical piece of glass, he suddenly becomes real and attracts everyone in Celia's school. Celia, though, liked him for the longest time..but, I don't want to spoil everything. Yet again, you can check out the book!

"Lonely Boy" is my most popular book, with over 3,000 reads, and 100 some votes. The story features the protagonist Aaron, the loneliest boy in school. Everyone is intimidated by him, they fear him, and they even labeled him as a monster. He went about this way for years, until a new student, by the name of Abigail, took interest in him and got to know him. The story hits an enormous plot twist when Abigail is pronounced dead, but Aaron knows better. He investigates the situation and goes on a hunt to save Abigail and bring her back safe and sound. Find out more in the official book featured on my page.

I have written 12 other books, some of them books with the descriptions of characters I have created, stories that don't have chapters and are only 2-3 pages long, also known as "One-Shots", and books based on games, movies, and TV shows I watch. I enjoy writing, and I am thankful to my friend that has introduced me to this wonderful world. I have made friends through this app, and I enjoy reading other people's stories as well.

Where I Stand Now?

Where do I stand now? I am a performer in musical theater, performing in various plays with a city I love working with. I enjoy connecting to music through singing and playing piano, and I feel that it is now a major part of my life. I enjoy writing books on Wattpad and seeing my growth improve. I love making friends, being with the amazing friends I have made, and I also enjoy getting myself into new experiences and seeing what I learn, if I fail or not.

In conclusion, I like my life the way it is now, but I am always open to a new opportunity. I am looking into my future, but for now, I am going to focus on my present, seeing how I can improve, what I can do, and how I can make myself a better person. Thank you for your time, and thank you for reading.

So everyone, have a good day. Stay kawaii, and bye for now!
