Loki Fanfiction Re-Write (I'm not kidding)

This doesn't even need an introduction...Okay, maybe it does.

Hello everybody! Yes, I was very into the Marvel movies when I was younger and my favorite character was Loki. I still like the Marvel movies today, and I still do like Loki, but I found this little fanfiction that just really needed a re-write. Enjoy! First, here's the original.

"You just got Loki'd!!!" Loki said laughing. Serena gave him a mischievous grin.

"You know that someday I'll have powers and I'll beat you into a pulp, right?" Serena said. "No. You already have powers now and yet you still don't beat me up." Loki said. "Why did you say don't instead of "can't"?" Serena asked "You think that I could take you on?" "No. I just think that you have the power to do something terrible to me, but you choose not to. You know why? Because you love me!" Loki said hugging Serena tightly. "Loki...can't...breathe!" Serena cried out. "Aw come on little sis! Just admit it!" Loki cried. "Loki, I...no! Loki it's too weird! You're a villain and you're not supposed to tell the villain that you love them, even if they are your brother." Serena said. After she said that sentence, she immediately wished she could take it back. She saw the hurt look on Loki's face.

Then it quickly turned to anger.

"So just because I made some mistakes in life now that means that my own little sister can't tell me that she loves me?" Loki said backing Serena into a corner. "Loki, you killed 80 people in only two days!" Serena protested. "That doesn't mean that you have to stop showing affection to me!" Loki shouted angrily. Serena quivered at the sound of anger in Loki's voice. She had terror in her face and Loki must have realized it because he backed away from her slowly.

Serena ran to Loki. "I am sorry Loki, really! But...all those people, they probably had families! And you took them all away from each and every one of them...How could you? What if someone took me away from this family? What would Thor and Odin do? What would you do, brother?" Serena asked. Loki looked at Serena and a tear slid down his cheek.

"We are not a family with Thor and Odin. That family is gone. It is just me and you, sister. And absolutely no one is ever going to take you away from me. You know that, right?" Loki clarified. "I know, brother." Serena said and hugged Loki. He hugged her back and said, "We are a family...forever." But little did they know that that night was the last night they would ever see each other again.

Or maybe Loki and Serena could find a way out...

This is the story of Serena and Loki and how through tough times they prove to be the best siblings ever.

Chapter 1

"Loki! Come down for dinner darling!" Frigga called as she set the table. Thor was sitting between Odin and Frigga and Serena was sitting in her usual chair and Loki would always sit next to her. They would always come down to dinner at the same time so that no one changed their seating arrangements, but this time Loki didn't come down. In fact he came down 30 minutes late. "Loki where were you??" Odin demanded to know. Serena looked at him and said, "Odin, please be gentle." Odin shot her a look and then quickly turned back to Loki. "Well??" he insisted. Loki just looked at him. Serena examined his eyes closely. One of them was red.

"Loki? What's going on with your eyes?? And why do you look so blue?" Serena said standing up from her seat. "Get back" Loki said. She looked at him confused. "GET BACK!!!" He yelled. He grabbed Serena's hand and it started to turn into ice.

"LOKI! STOP!" She cried out. Loki looked terrified and ran away. "Guards! After him!" Odin said and about 100 horsemen ran to the door and started to chase after Loki. "No stop it! Odin let him go!" Thor pleaded, but Odin didn't listen. It took a day but eventually the guards caught him. "Put him in the dungeon." Odin commanded the guards. Thor and Serena could only watch eyes wide. Would they ever see their brother again?

Chapter 2

Serena walked down the halls with her basket full of food for Loki. She had to hide it because no one was to know she was going to visit her brother. She looked around, then quickly jotted down the halls and ran to a door. The sign on top of it read "DUNGEON" in big bold letters. Serena headed down the stairs and came across the dark and gloomy place.

She took a torch down from the wall and headed down the halls. She was walking and walking and suddenly she saw him there, staring at her with his big, blue eyes. A single tear slid down his cheek from his right eye.

"Loki!" Serena cried and ran up to the cell, dropping her basket of goods. "Oh sister" Loki said putting his hand up against the glass. His palm sparkled and Serena felt as if she had to do the same. She lifted her hand up against the glass. It was a thin barrier of glass so it seemed as if they were just putting their hands up against each other's hands.

Serena began to cry and loosened her hand from Loki's imaginary grip. "I can't bear to see you like this!" She said cupping her hand over her mouth to quiet down her now loud sobbing.

Loki began to tear up as well for he could never bear seeing his beloved sister sad.

"Serena, please stop, you're hurting me." Loki said. She looked up at him and wiped away her tear. "But I am not even touching you, brother." She said. "I know. But when you cry it breaks my heart. Please don't." Loki said. Serena managed to flash a smile at him. "Here you are, imprisoned and yet you still worry about me...what did I do to deserve a brother like you?" She said sniffling. "All you did was exist." Loki said. He smiled at her and that only made her cry more. "You do not deserve this brother! You did nothing wrong! You just...changed your form for only a second...but the real question I have been wondering is how?" Serena asked. Loki's smile quickly faded and he turned around not to face her. "Loki? You can tell me. You know that I can keep a secret." Serena insisted. Loki exhaled and turned back to face her. "I discovered something back at the battle. Those frost giants...they touched me. I expected them to freeze me and kill me, but they didn't. In fact, my hard just turned blue like the rest of my body, just like at dinner. My eyes went red, and then it stopped. I saw that I wasn't dead, and I got nervous. I was in the basement that night looking at the Tesseract just contemplating my existence for about 5 minutes. I never hated Odin so much before in my entire lifetime." Loki explained.

Serena looked up at him, confused and said, "So would that make you?" He looked back at her and said, "Yes, I am a frost giant." Serena stared at him, wide-eyed. Loki looked at her too, then looked behind her. "Serena! Look out!" Serena turned back and felt a pain in her head, and then she blacked out.

Chapter 3

Serena woke up to a familiar face. It was her brother's. He looked at her intently. "Serena? Are you alright?" The voice said. She recognized that voice and smiled. Finally her sight came into focus and she said, "I am all right, Loki." She got up and looked around. She had no idea where she was. "Where are we, brother?" She asked Loki. He gazed into her eyes and said, "You are imprisoned in a cell with me." He paced back and forth. Then anger entered his face. "Why did he do this??" Loki yelled. "Do what?" Serena asked. "Why wouldn't he have told me right off the bat that I am a frost giant?? Better yet, why would he even take me?? He was knee-deep in my family's blood, why would he do this??" Then the look of realization and hurt spread across his face.

"I get it now. He just took me for some sort of ransom, didn't he?? He just wanted to combine our worlds didn't he??" He paused and then said softly, "So I am no more then another stolen relic?" Serena looked at him and opened her mouth to speak but before she could he shouted, "TELL ME!!!!"

Serena looked at him and said, "I know nothing of what you speak of, brother, for I have little knowledge of what Odin does. He never talks to me, never even acknowledges me until I do something wrong, do you really think that I would know what he does?? He's not even told me that I am his child like he did to you!!!" She shouted back. The look of anger and hurt spread across her face. She struggled to hold back tears. Loki looked at her and knelt beside her. Then he grabbed her and hugged her. "Sister, why would you want to be Odin's favorite if you are already favored over all the people of the world to me?" He asked her smiling. She looked up at him, smiled back and said, "I should ask the same to you. You always wanted to be the favored son, but I loved you no matter what. You knew that didn't you?" Loki looked down at the ground and Serena kept on smiling at him. "Of course I knew that...I just never heard it before." Loki said. Serena looked shocked. "No one has ever told them that they love you?" She asked. "Not until now." He said smiling.

Serena smiled back at him. "Oh brother, we have got to have a plan to get out of here. You are the God of mischief so I suppose that you already know a way out?" Serena asked hopefully. "Oh Serena! Serena, Serena, Serena....do I have a way out? I am the God of mischief....of course I do." He said smiling an evil smile. "Ehehehe" He laughed.

Chapter 4

"Alright, brother, what's the plan?" Serena asked Loki. "Well in order for it to be done, we need someone to distract the guard." Loki explained. "Oh okay. Well who wants to be the one to distract?" Serena asked. "I can do that, now I'll explain the plan to you." Loki said. He leaned over and whispered the plan into her ear. After he was done, she smiled back up at him and said, "Sounds brilliant, my brother." Loki gave an acknowledging, then said, "I hear them coming. Plan is now in effect!" Serena smiled and nodded and went to the cell. She looked up at the air vent and laughed to herself evilly. Loki walked up to the front of the cell, knocked softly on the glass, and waited for the guards to turn around. One did and said, "What is it?" in an angry tone. "Oh I was just wondering about your job." Loki said. "You were wondering about my job? Alright then, continue." The guard motioned for Loki to go on. "Well, you see, I think that your job is much more glamorous then mine. I am only the prince of Asgard and, well look where I am!" Loki said. The guard looked up at him and said, "Yes, but you wouldn't have been here if you didn't run off, Mr. Frost Giant!" Loki looked at him clearly frustrated. Before Loki could open his mouth to speak, a loud crash came from the back of the cell. Loki looked around to find the air vent top on the ground and a frightened Serena standing beside it. Loki then turned back to the guard who stood there in shock, smiled and said, "Well this Frost Giant is out. See ya!" Then he ran back and helped Serena climb up the vent and then went in after her. "Someone! Help! They're getting away!" The guard shouted. "Ehehe!" Loki laughed. Once they were out of the vent system, they got down from the ceiling and looked around at where they were. "Loki, what room are we in?" Serena asked. "Oh God no!"Loki said sitting down on the ground, putting his hand on his face.

'

"What? Where are we?" Serena asked. Loki sighed heavily and then said, "Thor's bedroom." Serena looked around and said, "This is the forbidden land?" Loki nodded. Serena looked up at Thor's wall and saw posters of himself. "Thor: The Dark World? Boy is someone narcissistic!" Serena laughed. "Yeah, he said that's what the poster would look like if they ever did a movie about us." Loki said. "Yeah right, like we'll ever get a movie!" Serena said. Loki silently agreed. Serena looked under Thor's bed and said, "What's that small booklet under there? Loki, it looks like a diary! I didn't know Thor kept a diary!" Serena said examining the book. Loki looked up at it and then ran over and took it away from Serena. "This isn't his!" he yelled. "Whose is it then?" Serena asked. "It's mine." Loki said. "You keep a diary?" Serena said. "I used to. But that's before you came along. When you weren't here, I had nothing to do and no one to talk to, so I started writing in here. But now I have a best friend, you." Loki said smiling. Serena smiled back and then said, "But we came into the house at the same time. Why did you say "before I came along"?" "I know that we came at the same time, but until we were 6 you wanted nothing to do with me." "I thought that you didn't want anything to do with me! I knocked on your door every single day for two years. Every day at 1:00." Serena said. Loki looked surprised at first and then said, "I didn't hear your soft little knock for two years? Oh my Asgard! Serena, you must hate me now!" Loki said his face no longer cheerful.

"Loki, I could never hate you! I just figured that you didn't want to be friends, and soon I accepted that. Then one day, you knocked on my door and offered to be friends. That was the happiest day of my life, you know." Serena said smiling.

"Well now that we've had our little flashback, we need to get out of here." Loki said. Serena looked around and then pointed at the window. "Let's jump out the window!" Serena said. "Are you nuts?? Thor's bedroom is three stories high! We'll just splatter to the ground!" Loki said. "No we won't." Serena said looking through Thor's closet. Suddenly she held up a long, purple cape. "We'll use this as a parachute!" She said showing it to Loki. Loki looked at her like she was mad.

"There's no use in fighting me, brother." Serena said, whipping the cape back and forth, and then firmly placed it in her hands. Loki knew that he couldn't argue with her. "Alright then. But are you absolutely certain this will work and we won't die?" Loki said. Serena looked around the room for a while, then met Loki's eyes and said, "One can only find out." She tied the cape into a knot and put her arms through. "Either you hold onto me or I hold onto you." She said. Loki walked over to her, muttering words. "What was that?" Serena asked. "Nothing." Loki replied quickly. She smirked at him and then said, "Alright we go in 3...2..." Just then, the door burst open. "Get them!!" The guard shouted. "NOW!!" Serena said and crashed through the window with Loki holding onto her back. "AHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Loki screamed. "WHOOHOO!!!!" Serena screamed. They were going down, faster and faster by the second. "I don't think this cape will hold us both! We're going to die!" Loki said. "It'll be fine, don't worry!" Serena shouted. Suddenly the cape stretched and a hole ripped through the seam. "Uh-oh" Serena said. Next thing they knew, they were falling 10 times as fast as they were before. "AHH!!!" Loki screamed. Serena looked down at her watch which she got from Thor's room. She hit some buttons and before she knew it, a glider sprung up right in front of them. They both grabbed on and gently glided down. When they finally reached the ground, Serena looked at the watch, pushed a few more buttons, and the glider went back inside the watch. Loki and Serena stood there, staring at each other. "Alright, what just happened?" Loki asked. Serena paused for a minute and then said, "WE SURVIVED!! HAHA!!" She ran up to Loki and hugged him tightly. Loki looked at Serena and said, "I couldn't have done it without you, sister." She smiled back up at him. "Same here." They looked around and then Loki said, "Well we still have to get out of here. The guards will be down any second now." They heard footsteps thundering, and then turned around to see Thor running towards them. "Please come back, brother and sister!!" They turned around, looked at each other, and then took off running. "After them!!" The guard said and they started chasing Serena and Loki. "We have to split up! I'll go right, you go left, and we'll meet back at the town center!" Serena said. "Alright!" Loki agreed, and then took off running left. Serena took off to the right. They all went for Loki and ditched Serena. Everyone except for one person. "Where are you going??" A voice asked Serena. She turned around and saw Thor standing there, breathless.

"Don't come any closer, Thor!" Serena said backing away. "Why are you doing this?" Thor asked. Serena looked at him intensely. "We are leaving, possibly never to return and no one will stop us." She said. "But why would you leave? You have a good life here In Asgard!" Thor said. Serena scoffed. "No we don't! First of all, Loki and I are not even related to you! We are frost giants who were taken just to be locked up as another one of Odin's stolen relics! Second of all, nobody cares what we do! We just escaped from the dungeons! You didn't come help us, did you? You don't care about us and you never will! The same can be said for Odin. So we are leaving, and I sure as heck won't return." Thor looked at her, and a single tear fell down his cheek.

"Don't go, Serena. I would miss you too much." Thor said. Serena shook her head. "We are leaving. Today! Just as soon as I find Loki we will go." Serena said. She turned around and ran out of the forest. "NO!!!!" Thor said and tried to run after her, but she was too fast. He stood there in the woods, alone. She was gone.

Chapter 5

Serena kept running until she reached the center of town. "Loki! I am here!" She called out. She waited. No response. "Loki!!!!!" She called out again. Still no answer. "LOKIIIIIII!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" She screamed at the top of her lungs. "Serena?" A voice called back. "Loki!" Serena said running towards the voice. "Where are you?" Loki asked. "I am running to you! I am coming! Hold on!" Serena yelled. She kept running toward the voice.

Finally she reached him. She saw him looking around, sitting on a log. She took a seat beside him. "Where should we go?" Loki said. "I don't know, brother." Serena replied. They sat there in silence. "I know where to go." She said. "Where?" Loki asked. She paused and then said, "Earth."

*Sigh* Okay, I know that Loki can be a little insane, but this story made him seem bipolar. Whatever, it's fine. Okay, in the re-write, I'm changing some things, like Serena isn't his sister and..well, hopefully this write is good. Here we go!

"Stuck in this prison-like cell again..how convenient." Serena exhaled, studying the walls above her. It was a dark and dingy cell, the only light provided was the flickering light from the tiny candle that the guards provided her. Besides the occasional food and drink of water, that was all they gave her. And for what - being something she couldn't change about herself. That's just the way things were. "These Asgardians have no taste in decoration, I can see." She sighed to herself, reaching out and touching the rusted bars in front of her. She looked outside the bars to the empty cell in front of her, sighing. She didn't normally like people, but now she longed for someone to converse with. The thought quickly faded however when she heard the jangling of keys and the footsteps of one of the guards. Serena quickly released the bar, which had froze to ice. She cursed under her breath and stood to the back of the wall, her ebony hair falling in her face.

The guard presented himself in front of her and gave her a stern look..that is, before twisting the keys around in the lock and opening the cage door. Serena gave him a shocked expression and looked around, gesturing for her to take her leave. The guard chuckled. "Not on my watch." He slapped a pair of handcuffs on her and tied her hands in front of her. "Odin requested to see you." Serena groaned. "What does the fat man want now?" The guard ignored her question and walked with her to the royal castle, to where Odin was sat on his throne. Serena looked around the castle, admiring the architecture and also feeling a wave of disgust. Why didn't she have the same rights as these people, the rights to enjoy castles like these as well? She was stuck in the dungeon against her will when Odin decided to kill all of her family and friends. What a wonderful life she was doomed to live.

The guard presented Serena to Odin and bowed to him, standing to the side. Serena looked at Odin and then at the two men sitting in thrones beside him. She recognized the one with the Barbie blonde hair. Thor, the heir to the throne. The one beside him, however, she didn't. He had raven-colored hair that was slicked back and touched the nape of his neck, a green and black suit, and icy blue eyes. Nobody ever talked about this one, just about Thor. Serena shrugged off her curiosity and turned back to Odin, an annoyed look on her face. "What?" She asked, rather rudely. The guards pointed spears at her, but Odin waved them off. "Serena, we have known you for a rather long time now. You have been a prisoner of mine for years. But how would you like to, how you say, take an office job?"

Serena glared at him. "Elaborate." She asked, a little intrigued by this offer. Odin folded his hands together in his lap and cocked his head at Serena. "You have proved to be of no real threat to us. Begrudgingly, I have decided to let you come out of the dungeon and up here to help aid us in decision-making. Word is that back in your hellish land, you provided much of the help, and all your decisions were beneficial. We'd like to hire you on here full time. We will provide you with your own bedroom, and you would be free to roam the castle grounds. So, what do you say?" Serena's eyes widened. Being up here, with Odin and his sons, providing help for the Asgardian kingdom. The kingdom that robbed her of love, friendship, and her family. Then again, she wouldn't be stuck in that cold, dark dungeon for the rest of her life. And maybe, with her help, Asgard could fall to ruins. She smirked at her thought and nodded to Odin. "I accept."

Odin smiled, none the wiser. Or so she thought. "Good. And if you try to make one move against Asgard, our guards will find you and spear you to the ground." His eyes crinkled when he smiled. Serena felt her heart pound, but ignored it. She'd just have to work a little slower than normal. She nodded, like she heeded his words, and then he began to go over the formalities, release her from her handcuffs, give her clothing, and her bedroom. When they closed the door, Serena sighed and fell down onto her soft, silk-sheeted bed. "Oh, what have I done?" She whispered to herself in disbelief. Just then, there was a knock on her door. She slowly sat up and eyed the door suspiciously. She shuffled over and opened the door to reveal the son of Odin. No, not the Barbie, but the dark-haired one. "May I help you?" Serena asked, her eyebrows raised. Why in Asgard would Odin's son want to talk to the former prisoner?

The son nodded at Serena, looking to the side, and then back to her. "Do you like novels?" He asked. Serena nodded. "Yes, I'm quite fond of them." The man smirked. "Then I have to show you something." He led Serena across the castle, Serena admiring the beautiful architecture and lavish decor. Finally, they reached two doors 5 times their size. He opened the door for her and ushered her in. When she looked around, she saw shelves, rows, millions of books. There was a table covered in quill pens, papers, and books. There was a ladder leaning up to the top shelf of books and there was golden stairs leading up to yet another area of books. Serena's eyes widened at the beauty that surrounded her. Suddenly, she didn't feel as bad about living upstairs. "Quite beautiful, no?" The son came up behind her and admired the room, his eyes darting back to Serena. Her long hair fell against her back as she walked towards the floor to ceiling windows draped with silk curtains. "Exquisite." She remarked, feeling the curtains for herself.

She looked back at the raven-haired boy and tilted her head to the side. "Who are you?" She asked him. The man smiled, resting his hand on the wooden desk before him. "They call me Loki. And they call you the prisoner of Asgard." Serena narrowed her eyes at him. "The prisoner has a name." Loki titled his head. "Would the prisoner care to tell me?" She looked at the window, as if to avoid facing him. "Serena." "Well, Serena, you are no longer a prisoner now. I suppose you have earned yourself a position on my father's council." He remarked. She stifled a laugh. "It's almost not worth it." She muttered. Loki slowly walked closer to her. "Oh, I agree." Serena whipped her head back around to face him. "Not even feeling like Odin's real son, not being an heir to the throne, being absolutely powerless..it's not a freeing life." He remarked, raising his hand up to the air, then letting it fall back to his side.

Serena looked back at him, sighing. "We're in the same position. Never appreciated, powerless.." She touched the window pane, but immediately stopped when she realized she was freezing it. She held her hands tightly together. "Not deemed worthy enough of love." She whispered, coldly. Loki heard her and quickly turned around to face her. "And who gets to determine that? That is something that only others can determine, Miss Serena." The two were facing each other now. She looked back down at the floor. "I suppose so..but I must say, that department is lacking." She dryly chuckled. Loki looked back at her and smiled at their similarities. "Maybe together.." He looked into her eyes. "We can change that."

Maybe I'll write more some other time, but for now, here it is! Thanks for reading, stay kawaii and bye for now!
