I'm inviting myself!

******Adhiraj's POV*******
Here were these two beautifully dressed bodies that kissed their souls into awkwardness.

They were disturbed by a phone ringing.

"Hello mumma" Prerna answered it running inside the house.

I followed behind her.

"Um okay. In the where?" She sounded so confused. Her perfect eyebrows were raised.

"Refrigerator! Oh okay...... so tomorrow then?...... yes no problem.... no mumma I'm with a friend" with that she looked at me and smiled. I couldn't help but think, how can someone be so beautiful?!

"Yes mumma... haha okay.... love you... bye." The minute she ended the call she looked at me and there was glint of sadness in her face.

"Um, can we go outside, The balcony?" I didn't know what else to ask or talk.

"Sure" and both of them went outside.

"My mom called. She said she'd be staying the night in my aunt's home. So I'm home alone." She answered my unspoken question of what happened.

"Oh. Umm so?" I didn't know if I could tell her I wouldn't mind staying. Lh God Adhi! Shut up. You just started to know her my mind shouted at me. But she kissed you!

"It's getting cold here" she spoke breaking my thoughts.

"What's your plan for tonight? Are you gonna shoo me away and just go to bed?" I inquired hoping to hear a no as an answer.

"Haha nope. I'll just watch a movie, I guess. Nothing much, just some cookies and maybe lasagna"

"You don't mind sharing food anyway, so I'm inviting myself"

The two of us smiled away the invitation shyly.

Standing outside her building, neither of us knew how to take it further.

The air was filled with subtle romance and hidden passion and a lot of awkwardness.

"I'm gonna go inside now." I decided to break the silence.

"It's my house?" Prerna spoke with a sarcastic smile.

"I invited myself for a movie and lasagna so I am going to be shameless."

"You're ridiculous!"

"In your words, I love you for that!" I replied to her as I didn't mind being labelled ridiculous by this beautiful woman standing in front of me.
