a loud leopard doesn't change its stripes
though we know its really spots

some are a drop
that dot of color in a tall glass
whilst others are a stroke
a slash of ink on paper

worry not however
a drop can contaminate
fill with colour
alter the state
whilst the stroke can accumulate
toughen up
and leave the place
