Chapter 11 - A Wall That Won't Break

The lobby felt colder than it had moments ago, the unyielding door looming like a final challenge in their endless nightmare. Every pair of eyes stared at it, frustration and determination brewing within each of them.

Bakugo, standing at the forefront, cracked his knuckles. "We've got some of the strongest quirks in the damn world, and none of you can bust down a door? Pathetic."

"Let's see you do better, Bakugo," Todoroki muttered, stepping forward. "Let me try first."

The Attempts Begin

Iida adjusted his glasses, stepping up beside Todoroki. "If we're going to make an attempt, let's do it with strategy. I'll create enough force to weaken it, and then Todoroki can heat the hinges."

"Less talking, more doing!" Bakugo barked.

With a deep breath, Iida activated his engines. The roar of his Recipro Burst echoed through the lobby as he sprinted straight toward the door, leaping into a powerful kick. The impact sent a shockwave through the room, but the door didn't budge—it didn't even creak.

Iida stumbled back, clutching his leg in pain. "It's... it's like kicking solid iron. No, harder than that."

"My turn," Todoroki said. His hands ignited with flames as he directed a torrent of heat toward the door's hinges. Sweat dripped down his temple as the fire grew more intense, turning white-hot.

Yet when he stopped, the hinges were as pristine as ever.

Ochaco's Big Idea

"This door isn't playing fair," Ochaco muttered, stepping forward. "What if I try floating the whole building? Maybe we can shake it loose or crack the foundation."

Everyone exchanged skeptical glances, but no one had a better suggestion.

"Do it," Bakugo grunted, crossing his arms.

Ochaco pressed her fingertips together, activating her quirk. The room's weight seemed to shift as the building itself started to rise—barely an inch off the ground. She strained against the effort, her brow furrowing.

"Denki, I need help!" she gasped.

Denki stepped in, sparks dancing at his fingertips. "I got you!" He sent a jolt of electricity to Ochaco, boosting her quirk. With renewed strength, Ochaco extended her power to everyone in the room, making them float alongside her.

For a moment, the building seemed to groan under the strain, and the door itself let out a sound—a faint crack.

Everyone froze, holding their breath. But the sound didn't grow louder, and the door remained shut.

"I... I can't do it," Ochaco whispered, her energy drained. She released her quirk, and everyone settled back to the ground.

A Dark Shadow's Fear

Tokoyami stepped forward, Dark Shadow unfurling beside him. "Perhaps my companion can break through."

Everyone rushed to turn the lights off trying to give dark shadow all the power It needed.

Dark Shadow surged forward, its massive form colliding with the door. But instead of the usual roar of triumph, there was a sharp, pained shriek.

"No! Something's wrong!" Tokoyami cried as Dark Shadow recoiled, retreating to the far corner of the room.

"What's happening?" Sero asked, his voice tense.

Tokoyami shook his head, his face pale. "Dark Shadow's... terrified. Whatever's behind that door, it's worse than anything I've ever felt."

Dark Shadow huddled in a quivering mass, pulling Tokoyami along with it.

One Last Push

Momo stepped forward, her expression tight with concentration. "If Dark Shadow can't face it, then we'll need another approach." She summoned a sleek, high-powered rifle from her body, aiming it at the door.

"Momo, are you sure about this?" Kirishima asked, his hands clenched into fists.

"We don't have a choice," she replied, her voice firm.

She fired. The bullet struck the glass, sending ripples across its surface like a pebble hitting water. But when the ripples subsided, the door was unscathed.

"This is insane," Mina muttered, stepping forward. "My turn. Let's see how it likes Acidman." She launched a wave of sizzling acid at the door, but the liquid slid off harmlessly.

Kirishima stepped up next, hardening his body to its maximum potential. He pummeled the door repeatedly, each strike echoing through the room. But the door didn't budge.

The Animals Don't Come

"Koda, can you call some animals to dig us a way out?" Sero suggested, gripping his tape dispensers.

Koda nodded, his hands trembling. He sent out a series of chirps and calls, his quirk reaching into the distance. But there was no response.

"They're not coming," Koda whispered, his eyes filling with tears. "No one's coming."

Sero clenched his fists and shot his tape toward the door, attempting to wrap it around the hinges and pull it loose. The tape stretched and pulled, but the door stood firm.

Ojiro and Sato stepped forward next, their fists raised. They punched in unison, but the door absorbed the force like it was nothing.

The Next Plan

Momo took a deep breath, her mind racing. "We need to reassess. Tokoyami—your shadow ran from the door. That means there's something behind it. Something dangerous."

"She's right," Shoji added, stepping closer. "If we can't break through, maybe we can figure out what's scaring Dark Shadow."

"I'll stay here and use my eyes and ears to monitor it," Shoji offered.

"Me too" Jirou said

"Fine," Bakugo said, his voice sharp. "I'm staying too. If something comes through that door, I'm gonna blast it back to hell."

The rest of the group exchanged glances. "We'll head to the kitchen," Iida decided. "If we can't break the door, we need to keep our strength up and think of another plan."

With that, they filed out, leaving Bakugo, Shoji, and Jirou by the door.
