Scolded

Astrid hated to be scolded. Especially when it was from Hiccup. It felt like he had pierced her heart with a sword and just left her there to die.

She hated to lie to him. Because, why wouldn't she? Hurt the person she was in love with pained her more than the sword itself.

She felt that stinging sensation in her eyes and quickly blinked. "You could have at least told me!" Hiccup argued with her. His eyes were mean but oh so full of pain.

Astrid swallowed before slowly walking up to him. Her legs didn't really follow her order and just slowly took small steps towards him.

She lifted her hand and moved it to his shoulder but when he turned away from her, she stopped.

"Look, Hiccup, I'm sorry. I really am. I didn't mean to hurt you. You know that. I would never want to do that..." She said softly, tears threatening to fall down her cheeks.

Hiccup whipped around to face her. "But you did! Do you even know how it feels for me?!" He yelled at her.

Tears rolled down her cheeks by the time he stopped to breath. "...H-Hiccup," She breathed out, starting to move her hands towards his face.

Her fingers grazed his skin for a second before he grabbed her wrists and pushed them away.

"Please, don't...don't push me away," She begged and looked into his eyes with her own wide and hurting ones. "You...you're my best friend...please, Hiccup..."

The man let go of her wrists and turned away, shaking his head and starting to walk towards the exit of the Club House.

Just as he was about to walk out of the door, Astrid said, "You don't know how much it hurts me. You haven't felt the pain I've felt. Either when we're fighting or you laying on a bed, unconscious and barely alive. You don't know how many times I've sat with you, holding your hand and begging to the gods for you to be alright. There's people that care about you. I care about you. More than you even thing. Please...don't push me away. W-without you...I'm...I'm just Astrid Hofferson. The one born to fight. I can be myself with you...so, please, Hiccup."

The man just stood there, looking up at the star filled sky with a sad expression. He slowly turned around, only to find the girl he loved, looking at him with the saddest expression he'd ever seen on her.

His own softened and he slowly made his was over to her. Astrid carefully grazed his belt with her fingers as she looked in the eyes. She saw nothing but hurt, forgiveness and trust.

The young woman bursted out in tears and wrapped her arms tightly around Hiccup's waist, crying into his chest. "I'm so sorry!" She cried out and hugged his tighter to her.

Hiccup signed softly and placed his hands on her back, stroking it. They just stood there, in the middle of the night, only lit by the small fire in the middle of the Club House.

"I'm sorry too, M'lady. I should have just forgiven you and not acted the way I did. Can you forgive me?" He asked and buried his nose into her hair.

"I could never not forgive you, Hiccup..." She whispered and moved her head from his chest to his shoulder, her nose grazing his neck.

Hiccup breathed out in relief and hugged her tighter against him. "Thank you...for everything," He said.

Astrid pulled away her head, not letting him go. "Why?" She asked as she sniffled. Hiccup pulled away one of his hands and wiped away her tears.

"You've done things for me that no one else would want to wen think of..." He begun. Astrid smiled softly. Hiccup pulled away, one of his hands still staying on her back as he slowly begun to walk.

They walked out of the Club House and towards his house. "Tell me something..." He asked. "Anything," Astrid said and looked at him.

"All these things you've done for me...held my hand and prayed for me when I was unconscious or just when we fought...why?" He asked and opened his door.

They walked inside and was met by a sleeping Toothless on his rock slab.

Astrid sat down on the bed as Hiccup went to make a fire, since lazy Toothless was sleeping and only would wake up when he wanted.

"It's a long story..." She said and scooted up the bed, leaning against the headboard. "We have time," Hiccup said over his shoulder.

"Well...this may sound weird but...ever since I was small, I always though you were kind of cute. I don't know why though. You...you seemed to be the creative kind of person who loved to explore and liked to draw. I guess...I had started to like you when I was like, six or seven. Ever since then, I always though you were amazing..." She stopped to look at him.

Hiccup had managed to start a fire and was now brushing off the dirt from his pants. He walked over to his bed and sat down on the edge of it. "Me? Amazing?" He laughed at that one.

"Yeah," Astrid said and watched as he leaned back and laid down, his legs hanging down on the side of his bed.

She did the same. However, she was laying on her stomach now instead.

"I still think you're amazing. I think that...when I came up into my teens, I just felt like I hated you. I don't know why. One day, I could just walk up to you and tell you how I felt. Then...the next day, I hated you more than anything else..." Astrid paused to look at him.

His eyes were closed and his breathing was soft. Did he fall asleep? She asked herself. "Hiccup?" She asked. "Yeah? I'm listening...just...just trying to imagine the things in front of me..." He said and smiled.

"Okay. Well...after you took me on that crazy and amazing flight with Toothless, you just changed my whole world. I guess I started to have a crush on you by that time. However, when you went into battle with the Red Death, I just, I though I would die. I knew I certainly would of you would. There wouldn't be any reason to live if you weren't with me. But when I knew that you were alive, I just...I guess my crush only grew. I was so afraid when something happened to you that I promised myself to always try and protect you. I guess I failed at that...I'm sorry..."

Hiccup opened his eyes to look at her. Tears were once again streaming down her face and he couldn't help but sit up and hug her.

"Sshh, I'm here now. I'm not gone. I won't go anywhere as long as you're with me," Hiccup said and buried his lips into her bangs.

"And if I'm not with you?"

"Then I'll go after you to make sure that you're alright...I'll always be with you, Astrid, no matter what happens..." He said and kissed her forehead. Astrid smiled and pulled away, wiping her eyes.

"I'm sorry..." She suddenly said. "Why? You haven't done anything..." Hiccup reassured and placed a calloused hand on her cheek. "I'm sorry for being this clingy and for crying this much. I guess I just had to let it out..."

Hiccup smiled and stroke her cheekbone with his thumb. It's alright, M'lady. You can do that anytime you want. I'm here for you," Hiccup said and pulled back to stand up.

He stretched and walked over to the fire, adding more wood to it. He then walked over to his window and opened it, breathing in some fresh air.

A breeze flew into the room and Astrid shivered. She grabbed Hiccup's bed covers and wrapped them around herself. The snow was well on its way. You could feel it in the air.

Hiccup closed his window and turned around to face his best friend.

He smiled when he saw her and walked over to his bed, sitting down closely beside her. Their hips met when he wrapped an arm around her shoulder to warm her.

Astrid smiled and leaned into his warm body, wrapping the blanket around his shoulders to.

"Thanks," He murmured into her hair. Astrid closed her eyes, just wanting to stay like that with iI'm forever.

Truth to be told, she still loved Hiccup. More than anything in the world. He always were there for her. She could always trust him. Even if their fights turned for the bad sometimes, they always cleared it out and became best friends again.

"Hey, Hiccup..." Astrid whispered to his from under the blanket. "Yes, M'lady?"

The blonde moved away from his grasp and slowly placed her hands on his shoulders.

They gazed into each other's eyes before slowly leaning in. They eyes closed as their lips met.

It was slow at first. However, as time passed by, it became more heated and Astrid found herself over his lap, her legs straddling his waist.

They pulled away for a second to breath before continuing. Astrid stopped. "Can...can I tell you something?" She asked. Hiccup nodded and exhaled deeply.

"I...I love you," She said and knotted her fingers into his hair. "I know, Astrid. I love you too..." He said and caught her lips in his again.

They kissed for a few minutes before Astrid pulled away again. "Y...you do?" She asked. "Yeah, I always have..." Hiccup said with a smile and placed a hand on the back of her head, pulling her down towards him again.

Their lips smashed together and it became heated almost immediately. Tongues tangled with each other.

It was a whole new feeling.

Like nothing they had been though before.

However, things slowly became harder to resist and they found themselves on the bed, breathing deeply and trying to covering themselves with the blanket.

"You know..." Hiccup started. "This was a little over my expectations..." He said and turned his head towards her. Astrid grinned. "So you have expectations too?" She asked. "Of course. I always have expectations."

"Yeah? And we're they right or what?" Astrid asked and traced small circles on his chest.

"Oh, they were great. Trust me, they were amazing. In fact, they were so good, that I would want to see if they were real, just in case I'm dreaming."

Astrid smirked as he pushed himself up and leaned over her. Hiccup traced his hand from her cheek to her collar and up again, breathing out a misty, "you're beautiful," before leaning down to kiss her.

Astrid smiled and placed a hand on the small of his back while her other hand rested itself at his nape.

"I love you," She breathed into the kiss before continuing. Hiccup pulled back. "I can't believe this..." He said with a smile. "Can't believe what, babe?"

"That. We're together...I just...I can't believe it. Thank you...for loving me and being with me even in my darkest times."

"Aww, come here you."

(A/N: AND IT'S DONE. Shit my hand. 1900 words for my crappy hand was a little too much.)
