Hiccup's POV.

The words from mine and Viggo's conversation before he died keeps repeating themselves in my head and I have no regrets for what I've done.

Throwing the Dragon Eye into the volcano was the right decision. I would never not have done that. Astrid means too much to me for me to just...not do that. Choose an object over a living, breathing, beautiful goddess like her...I could never do that.

She's my best friend. My right hand. My second in command. My girlfriend and My soulmate. My life and everything I could possibly live for is in her.

She's gorgeous no matter what she does.

The way the fire from a few candles on the table lights up the golden color in her hair. The way the blue color in her eyes are darker the dimmer the light is.

She's beautiful.

She's mine and I wouldn't want it any other way-

Author's POV.

A hand interrupts his thoughts and he looks down at his hand laying on his bed, her hand covering his.

His eyes trail up to hers and he almost looses his breath at how beautiful she is. His breathing somehow regained to his normal breathing and he smiled at her, pulling his hand away from under hers and slowly raising it up.

She keeps gazing into his eyes, loving the way those emerald green eyes looks at her with such love.

His fingers brushed against her jawline and she smiled, leaning into his touch when she felt his whole hand rest against her jaw.

Hiccup leaned in and she seemed to catch on.

Astrid's eyes slowly slid shut and she let her instincts take over her, letting her guide her lips to his.

Hiccup smiled and closed his eyes when he was close enough to her to know where her lips where.

After what seemed like an eternity, their lips finally met and the blonde melted into the kiss, her hand on his rib, her thumb moving over the fine leather.

Hiccup's free hand grabbed hers and they laced their fingers, their lips moving against each other like they had done that for years.

Hiccup's hand trailed to her neck, under her hair and his fingers gently dug into her skin, pulling her closer to the kiss.

After slowly pulling away, Hiccup lifted their intertwined hand to his lips and brought her hand to his mouth, pressing his lips against the back of her hand, all the while he looked at her.

He wasn't sure if he was supposed to say it but he went for it anyways. She was his girlfriend, for Thor's sake.

"Astrid..." He whispered against her hand before pulling it away and looking at her. She smiled, her eyes half lidded. "I know you probably won't feel the same but I love you."

The blonde exhales slowly and softly, pulling her hands away from him before placing them on his cheeks. "I love you too, you dork," She said and laughed, pulling her hands away from his cheeks and wrapping them around him.

"Now, come here, you."

She smiled and pulled him in after saying that, pressing her lips against him once again
