Mi Amore Wing

(A/N: Season 6 spoilers. This episode killed me because of all the Hiccstrid. I love those beans so much. Enjoy.)

With the sun setting, the sky was a soft burgundy color. A small smile formed on Astrid's face as she looked over the sea from her hut.

The war between them and Johann and the Flyers might not be over yet but the air was quiet and she wanted to take it in as much as possible before they attacked again.

The blonde turned her head towards Hiccup's hut, her smile widening. She felt the pendant around her neck, move and she looked down at it. Raising her hand, Astrid grabbed the medallion and looked at it, not taking her eyes off of it.

Her heart fluttered so at the thought of Hiccup. Her betrothed, - her fiancé. With such a title for a woman, she was already considered a wife. [1] Astrid let go go the pendant, letting it fall down to a hanging position. She set off running toward Hiccup's hut.

Making her way over the bridge between their two huts, she excitedly knocked on is door, impatiently waiting for him to open the door.

It didn't take long before the door opened.

"Astrid? What are you doing here?" Hiccup asked and motioned for he to come in. Astrid shrugged and walked in. "What? Am I not allowed to visit you?" She asked, raising an eyebrow at him.

Hiccup closed the door and threw his hands up. "No, no. You're welcome whenever you want, Astrid," He said and looked at her with a small smile. Astrid turned towards him and reached out a hand.

Hiccup looked at her before looking at her hand. He let his arms fall down his sides before walking up to her and taking her hand. He pulled her in and wrapped his other arm around her waist, placing his hand on her back.

Astrid's hands landed on his shoulders and back and she smiled at him, her eyes shining. "That pendant really does look good on you," He pointed out, lifting his free hand and placing it on her cheek.

He ran his thumb over her cheek and down to her chin, brushing over her lower lip on the way.

Astrid licked her bottom lip slowly. It caught Hiccup's trained eyes and he shook his head slightly, giving her a mischievous look.

Astrid gave out a breathy laugh when she saw his face. Hiccup smiled too.

She lifted her hand from his shoulder and placed it on his neck, looking at him.

Hiccup's grip on her waist tightened and he pulled her against him again, indicating that he wanted to his her. Astrid had no objection and leaned in, pressing her lips to his. For a split second, she thought she was in control but she was wrong.

It all happened to fast.

One second, she was holding onto Hiccup, kissing him softly and the next, she was pinned to his door, arms around his neck.

Hiccup pulled away and they caught their breaths for a few second. Once he realized where his leg was pressed up against, he blushed and hastily pulled away. Somehow, during the kiss, his leg found its place between hers and was pressed up against an area he'd rather not think about when she was with him.

Hiccup scratched his head and cleared his throat. "Ermm..." He fought out, blushing madly. Astrid laughed at him and took a few steps towards him, placing her hand on his chest. "It's fine, Hiccup. I didn't say I didn't like it, you know?" She said, pulling her hand down his chest before letting it fall to her side.

Hiccup inhaled, his breath shaking.

Astrid laughed at him. "Dork," She said before taking his hand. "Come on," She said and pulled him towards the door. "Where are we going?" Hiccup asked and looked at her as she led him towards the door.

Astrid opened it and pulled him out.

"I just thought we could go for a sunset walk."

Hiccup smiled and caught up to her, walking beside her instead of her pulling him.

Toothless grumbled and stood up from his rock, jumping down from the second floor and out of the hut, following after the couple. Hiccup gestured for him to stay and Toothless sat down, looking at them as they slowly walked off.

The sunset had gone from a soft burgundy color to starting to get dark. Some stars were already glimmering in the sky.

Hiccup smiled, looking at the girl he loved so much as they walked. She was so beautiful. How had he ever gotten blessed enough to have such an amazing young woman in his life. When he was younger, he used to pin after her, loving her for her beauty and how amazing she was. Now, four years later, he loves her for who she is.

She's Astrid Hofferson (to-be Haddock in the future) and she's his fiancé. Four years ago, he could only dream and wish of marrying her in the future. Now, its become a reality.

He loves her for everything that she is. She's beautiful, smart, talented, amazing, caring and she's Astrid. Devine Beauty. She's the definition of her name. She's his lady and he promises that he'll always be there for her, when she needs him and when she doesn't.

"Hiccup? Midgard is calling. You lost connection," Astrid said, breaking him out of his thought. He smiled at her and stopped walking, stopping Astrid in her tracks too.

They were standing on the beach, the setting sun begins them and the moon starting to rise in front of them. The sky was a beautiful mixture of dark blue, blue, purple, pink and orange.

"Is something wrong?" Astrid asked. Hiccup shook his head and pulled her against him, free hand on the small of her back, just above the lining of her skirt. He held her close to him, their upper bodies pressed against each other.

Astrid was just about to say something again but Hiccup spoke up. "I love you, Astrid. I do and I always will, no matter what happens," He said softly, gazing softly at the girl he held in his arms. Astrid's eyes were sparkling as she looked at him. "I know," She said and wrapped her arms around his neck. "I love you too," She whispered out.

Hiccup smiled at her and placed his hand on the back of her head, placing her head on his shoulder. Astrid smiled and turned her head, pressing her nose into his neck.

This is what he loved the most.

Sure, he loved dragons, exploring, flying, action but this is what he loved the most. Having some alone time with the girl he loved.

He would admit that he was a lovesick fool because he was.

He couldn't wait for that moment when he and Astrid would get married. He'd be able to wake up in his bed everyday, sun on his face and his wife laying beside him.

He had an image in his mind. Them married, staying inside the house while it was a sunny Snoggletog morning, sitting by the fireplace and telling stories of what they did when they were younger to their children.

These images were only dreams when he was smaller. Today, he knew that his mind didn't have to take it so far. He only needed to be with Astrid to feel as though his life was meant to be like this.

She's his everything and he will always thank her for being there for him.

"Thank you, Astrid," He whispered into her shoulder, holding her tighter. Astrid pulled her head back and looked at him. "What are you talking about, Hiccup?" She asked. "Thank you for alway being there. I don't know how I would've made it this far if it hadn't been for you always being there and supporting me," He said, looking at her lovingly.

Astrid sighed in contentment and pulled her arms back, placing her hands on his cheeks. "No, Hiccup. If you hadn't done everything you have up until now, none of us would be here. Everyone has to thank you for all of this," Astrid pulled away and gestured towards the Edge. She turned towards Hiccup again and placed a hand on his shoulder. "All of this is because of you. Thank you," She said and pulled him in, pressing her lips against his forehead.

Hiccup smiled and hummed. Astrid pulled away and took his hand. "Come on, lets go back," She said, pulling him after her.

The walk towards Hiccup's hut was slow but calm. The whole way there was full of small laughs, hand squeezing, discussions about random stuff and Hiccup swore he saw a shooting star. Of course, he wished he'd get married to that beautiful young woman beside him and that they'd live a long and happy life.

Reaching his hut, they stopped.

"Thank you for that, M'lady," He said. Astrid blushed at that nickname and pulled him towards her. She wrapped her arm around his neck and kissed him hard, not letting hi go for a good twenty seconds before pulling away. "Good night, babe," She said and winked as she walked off towards her hut.

Hiccup watched her until she stopped at her front door and waved at him. He smiled at her before walking in to get some sleep.

The morning was kind of awkward because Hiccup woke up with his body tangled with hers. He didn't mind though and only wished he could wake up like that every morning.

(A/N: This season was amazing and I can't believe its over.

[1] Back in the days, women who were labeled as betrothed were already considered wifes even without a ceremony.)
