(A/N: What is the gang hadn't cut in until later?)

It was finally over.

Viggo and Ryker were dead and the Dragon Eye was destroyed. Viggo had walked up to Hiccup, - sitting on top of Stormfly - holding Astrid with an axe to her throat. He threatened with killing her if he didn't give the Dragon Eye back to him.

Of course, smart Hiccup, threw the Dragon Eye over Viggo and let him jump after it but he couldn't reach it in time and it fell into the volcano, burning up.

Viggo had been both furious, destroyed and a little sad but that soon took turns when they heard the edge of the cliff crack. Moments later, the two young adults saw how Viggo disappeared long with the edge of the cliff, straight into the lava.

Hiccup tried to catch him but with no success.

He stopped at where the cliff had broke apart and looked down at the lava below, sizzling and smoking.

It was over.

"Are you okay?" Astrid asked softly and stood slightly behind him, head droopy because of how he feels. She hates it when he's down or sad or just...not the usual, old Hiccup she loves.

"Yeah. I'll be fine," He said, sighing. "It's finally over..." He heard her voice from beside him but he didn't do anything. "It is over now, right?"

"Yeah, of course. Definitely."

Hiccup furrowed his eyebrows and turned away from the lava, talking a few steps before stopping. Astrid walked after him and stood in front of him, looking at him. "I should've listened to you..." She started.

Hiccup looked at her, focusing on her and only her at that moment. "You are our leader and our relationship can't get in the way of that..."

Hiccup moved slightly. What did she mean by that? Would it be better if they weren't together? Just best friends? No...

"It won't happen again."

Oh...that was a relief.

He gazed into her eyes and said, "Just promise me you won't stop telling me what you're thinking. Astrid, I rely on you. That's what makes us, well...us."

He gave her a goofy, lopsided smile before stretching out his arm. "Deal?" He asked softly. Astrid smiled slightly and took his hand into hers.

"Deal," She said before pulling in his arm slightly. Hiccup stumbled forwards and she smiled wider, slightly sticking her tongue out. His lips landed in hers and she slowly and softly swiped her tongue along his upper lip.

Hiccup pulled back a me'er inch before the corners of his mouth turned upwards and he closed his eyes, pressing his lips to her again, he himself using a little tongue. His free hand moved to her elbow and he held her arm, making here stay there.

They stayed there for a few second before Astrid kissed him again, her lips not leaving his. Hiccup kissed her back with equal force and then, they slowly pulled away even if they didn't want to.

"Astrid..."

The girl panted slightly and she pulled one of her hand away from his, placing it on his chest. She pulled her head away from his, - they had leaned their foreheads against each other - and looked at him, swiftly leaning in and kissing him once again.

Her hand moved up his collar and the side of his neck before it settled down on his cheek, just like it had when they kissed by the stairs to the Great Hall a few days earlier.

Changing his positions, he pulled his hand away from her elbow and placed it on her waist, pulling her in further.

They pulled away before wrapping their arms around each other. "Thank you, Astrid. For everything. I don't know what I would do without you right now..." Hiccup said softly and smiled, burying his nose into her hair.

Astrid smiled and sighed in happiness. "I don't know what I would have done without you either. I was so scared when you went down under water to free that Submaripper. I thought I'd lost you forever..."

Hiccup pulled her tighter against him and kissed her head. "You didn't. I'm right here now. And, I'll never leave you. You have no idea how scared I was when you went temporarily blind. I was more terrified then you were but...I held control just because of you. I didn't want you to loose all hope. You're Astrid. You are strong and you are invincible."

She pulled back and looked at him. "Do you really mean that?"

"Of course I mean it. I also mean that you're perfect and you're beautiful and...well, I love you," The last part came out as a whisper but Astrid heard it. She smiled.

"Well, guess what you big dork...I love you too," She said before pressing a small kiss to his lips. Hah, nothing could be a small kiss with Hiccup.

He pulled her closer and kissed her back-

"Uh, guys?"

The two broke apart swiftly and turned their heads to the gang. "How long have you guys been here?" Hiccup asked, a little stressed out. [1]

"Oh, not that long. We've just been here since you guys started sucking each other's faces off!" Snotlout yelled at them.

Fishlegs smiled. "So, you guys are a thing now?" He asked, a little too excited for the answer.

Hiccup looked at Astrid and she looked at him. She smiled at him and he smiled back at her, turning his head back to the gang and saying, "Yes, we are."

The others' cheering echoed through the mountains before the couple was tackled with hugs from their friends.

"Since when?" Ruffnut asked. "Since I went temporarily blind," Astrid said and smiled, slipping her hand into his.

They didn't expect this reaction, really. They expected them to be more like, angry? Snotlout wasn't even sad that Astrid was together with Hiccup.

He just...chilled and went with the flow.

"Come on. What do you guys say? One last lap around the island before going him and relaxing?"

"Yeah!"

They soared off into the sky, taking a last lap around the island before going home and relaxing after a long day.

And Hiccup didn't expect the blond Dragon Rider to be a passenger behind him half way through the flight but he didn't mind it.
