Castle of Glass

So I was listening to Castle of Glass by Linkin Park, and I clicked into the tab where the video was around 3:25ish. And I saw something that hit me hard.

The millions of glass pieces flying around them could represent their fans. Chester picks one piece of glass from the millions and holds it, looks at it for a moment, and sings to it. As you can see from the pictures, the color changes from a blueish gray to an amber when Chester comes in contact with the glass. Listening to the lyrics, Chester is singing "Cause I'm only a crack in this castle of glass. I'll be anything else I need to be."

When Chester comes in contact with the glass piece and sings to it, it could symbolize a fan discovering his music during a time that seems barren and bleak, with no hope. Once they discover his music, the return of beautiful color and hope and love is symbolized by the amber color fading in. And when he lets it go, I feel it could be a symbol for healing. The piece returns to fly around them, and as it goes, it's still visible. That means it might mean that no matter how insignificant we think we are, we are a part of more lives than we think.

That was my analysis of that one part of Castle of Glass. I'll leave the video above for you to listen to. Btw skip to like 1:20 or smth to get the actual start of the song. It's like a minute and a half of music. Calming music, but it's a long time of music.
