Lights fade and your heart turns grey
It's ok, your heart's broken anyway

The birds aren't singing their cheerful song anymore
The road you're driving on stops, and you think life's a bore

All of a sudden, you see a path lit up by moonlight

You have to blink for a second, and you think this all a dream
You think you just woke up from a nightmare, it's all better than it seems

No, it wasn't just a bad nightmare
But it really is a scare

When people leave you
When people don't notice you're there

You shouldn't care what people think
You look at the devastating world around you, and you just have to blink

When you open your eyes, you will see the world with more light
When you open you're eyes, you will see the stars shining bright

Remember, you thought you were a ghost
But now, you know the world's beautiful, if you look real close
