Once upon a time
In the sky up above
There was an angel
Who was full of love

Once upon a time
In the earth down below
There was a devil
Who was as cold as snow

The angel was curious
About the devil's land
She wanted to know
If devils were really that bad

Her friends warned her
That when you look into a devil's eyes
The devil will look like an angel
And you will be hypnotized

The angel didn't care
She still wanted to go
On a trip down to
The earth below

When the angel arrived
At her destination
The devils started at her
They're eyes widened with fascination

Then the angel saw the devil
That was as cold as snow
Then she knew the reason why
She came to the earth below

She looked into the devil's eyes
And, in his eyes, she saw rain
She saw multiple gray clouds
And she wanted to heal his pain

The angel took hold of the devil's hand
She said, "I will stand by you."
The devil's around them gasped
But she just smiled, took the devil's hand, and flew

Before then, the devil's never got to
Take hold of a person's hand and fly
The devil never seen someone so beautiful
The angel's beauty made him cry

Her white wings were soaring
In the air
She looked at the devil
And frowned in despair

The devil saw her frown
"I'm only crying because you're beautiful."
Then, the he saw her eyes glisten
The angel never thought that devil's could be so wonderful

"You don't seem like a devil,"
The angel said
The devil grinned
As he shook his head

"You warmed my heart."
The angel smiled
"I think you could make me into an angel, sweetheart."
The angel thought the devil was wild

"How could I turn you into an angel?"
"By doing this."
And then he leaned in closer
And then the devil and the angel kissed

The devil's horns disappeared
He grew bright white wings
The devil smiled ear to ear
He was so happy he could sing

A halo appeared on his head
He never felt so great
With the angel holding his hand
He knew this was fate

So, together they flew
To the sky up above
They smiled at each other
And they fell in love

The devil will no longer
Be the devil
And the angel will no longer
Think devils are evil

He looked into the angel's eyes
And he saw glee
And in the sky above
The angels danced and played happily

This was probably the longest poem I ever wrote!

If you were wondering what the meaning of this poem is, well...you'll have to think of the meaning yourself! Ha! 😝

But I'll tell you what I intended to be the meaning of this poem.

I intended for the meaning of this poem to be that love can change a person. If a person is living through their darkest days, and someone holds their hand, the person will then see a silver of light bursting through the clouds. Then, they will want to stay close to whoever held their hand because they want to be able to see the light again. Love can transform a person to be a better human being. A more happy, more friendly, and more caring human being. And that's why I think love is so important. It can change us. It can make us want to be a better person.
