Turns out, I'm going to dinner. 

Nona yelled "5:40! Hurry up!"

I was finishing doing Yifan's makeup. We both had on EYELINER. That was insane because I had never worn eyeliner before. "If my mom sees us, she's gonna kill me!" I say, nervous. "Don't worry," Yifan said, "mine too." We both smiled. I called my mom at her hairdresser job. "Hello, Remedy's Hair, how can I help you?" An older woman with a friendly voice answered. "Hi Mrs. Munoz, it's Sky!" I reply. "Oh hi sweet pea! I'll pass the phone to your mama!" "Thanks!" 

~~~~few scary moments of silence~~~~

"Hey Pumpkin!" says mom. "Can we please stop with the nicknames?" I ask. "Ok fine, ... precious." I rolled my eyes at my telephone. "Is it alright if I have a sleepover at Nona's house tonight? Please-please-please???" "Awww...I was planning on ordering chinese food while watching a movie tonight! Sushi and Pirates of the Caribbean!" Mom said, disappointed. I glance at Scarlet, who was listening to the call. 

Casting an unsure face, I really wanted to watch that movie. "C-can we do that tomorrow?" "Tomorrow I have a late shift here. I guess we could move it to Friday." "Sounds good!" I say, trying to sound cheerful. "She is picking me up now. I'll see ya later!" "Love you daughter." "Love you too mother." Then I hung up. I cautiously breathed deep breaths, inhaling and exhaling. "I can do this" I tell myself.

 Me, Scarlet, Nona, and Yifan started out the door, walking fast to Steak n' Shake. That was one of the best meeting places for people our age, so when people around here say 'going out to eat' they usually meant there. As we walked the seven blocks to get there, I felt as if all of the eyes from the street were staring right at us. I knew it was just the guilt from telling a lie to my mom. Well technically it wasn't a lie, just not the full truth. I think to myself; trying to make myself feel better.

My friends and I strut up to the door and push it open. It was almost 6:30. Scarlet pointed to where the boys were sitting. There were four of them, as I predicted, all of them were cute. We followed the only one willing to walk over, Nona. She didn't like any of the boys and she really didn't care if they were cute. The four were sitting on the left side of the booth. One of them was named Jack, Scar's crush. He had a buttoned up jean jacket and long ripped jeans that seemed to cut off at his ankles. 

Sitting next to him, Siwon looked awesome in his white vest covering his Big Bang (korean boy-band) shirt. Guess who has a crush on him? Yifan met his eyes and smiled. Beside him was Joey. He was nice, I had met him before. He brushed his black curls out of his face and reset his glasses on his nose. He was very handsome with his one pocket black and red shirt. Finally I see Luke on the far side of the table near the wall. He hadn't looked up yet, sucked into his brand-new Nintendo DS Lite.

He glanced up, met my eyes.

No turning back now.
