Shock coursed through me. No...this can't be happening. I forced a straight face. "I'm Frank, not some stuck up kid." I growled in a voice far more gravelly than my own.

"I know you're lying. Admit it now, and we can get the papers straightened out. Lie, and... let's just say it'll hurt."

Tell the truth, and give up what I worked so hard for? Or lie, and get...hurt. When I looked at Stella, I knew she was serious. I slumped to the floor, crossing my legs. ". This is a wig, and the nose is also fake, as well as the eye color, and the sideburns," I informed them, trying not to stare at the other girl. "But trust me, I...I have a good reason be here," I asserted with more confidence than I felt.

Stella squinted at my face. "Did you think I wouldn't know it was you? I can recognize a face anywhere."

Ava

When Stella said that, I heard something in her voice. Something sad, haunting, and desperate. "Stella, what do you mean?"

She flinched as though I struck her. "We all have our own talents," she growled."You have yours; I have mine. Stay out of other peoples' business, okay?"

Suddenly, she let out a yelp. She approached me as though we hadn't had a conversation. "Would you like some water?"

I understood. The cameras will have seen us having a conversation. I really, truly hoped that they wouldn't get Stella in trouble.

"Errr...no. No thanks. I'm fine now," I told her.

Cooper also said that he was fine. Smart move. Stella nodded and tried to make it look as though she were shuffling down the hall, but I could see the dark, swirling mood in her movements. "What did I say?" I thought, confused and hurt.

I turned to Cooper. "So, Coo--"

"My name is Frank," he hissed.

"Oh, right. So, uh, Frank, what did you do to get arrested?" I asked.

"I haven't seen you in East Moonshadow. Did you just recently turn sixteen or something?" He questioned.

"Well...I felt a soulmate pull toward East Moonshadow, so I followed it. I came to a long road. One way there was a bunch of shops and houses; the other way was this prison. I didn't want to be caught, so I headed toward the prison. Of course, I didn't KNOW it was the prison. When I got close enough to read the lettering, I tried to run away, but somebody shined a light into my eyes. When they narrowed into slits instead of ordinary shrinking, the person who shone the light said 'werecat' and someone knocked me out from behind."

Cooper

When she said 'I felt a soulmate pull toward East Moonshadow,' she completely lost me. I was shocked because East Moonshadow is where the werewolves live. I am a werewolf! I hoped that wasn't a coincidence. If it was...I can't even begin to tell you how much I did just to meet this girl. I still don't even know her name, and her cell is just across the hall from mine.

"Okay, I probably should've asked this before, but what's your name?"

"My name's Ava," she told me.

Ava. It's beautiful, and it really fits her.

"How long have you been here?" I asked.

She froze. "I...don't know. Several days. Already, this is the weirdest place I have ever been in."

"Why's that?"

"I feel like everyone here is hiding something." Her eyes seem to bore right through me. "Even you."
