I yawn and nuzzle my head into something hard and smooth. A smile creeps onto my face as my eyes flutter open to find Jayden holding me. To my surprise, he is already staring down at me, awake.

"You really are cute when you sleep," he comments. My cheeks blush.

"I'm surprised you woke up before me." I comment and yawn, I cover my mouth with my hand.

"Tired?" He asks with his sexy smirk.

I giggle and nuzzle my head into his chest, "tired and sore thank you very much. Now be a good boy and cuddle with me."

He laughs at that and tightens his arms around my naked body. Feeling his body warm and against mine, I find myself drifting off again. He gently kisses the top of my head.

"Come on, no falling back asleep. We need to get to the pack house soon. My dad wants to talk to us and your Mom. Probably about Manus." He says.

I sigh. I totally forgot about Manus. And now I need to see the Alpha, who, let me remind you, hates me. This is going to be a wonderful morning.

"Fine, let me get ready for the day and we can go..." I complain.

Mom, Jayden and myself get to the pack house by noon. We go straight to the Alpha's office.  My heart beats nervously. I know Jayden and I didn't fully mate last night, but basically the only thing we have left to do is for him to mark me. But I'm nervous that his dad is going to find out. I mean I know there is no way for him to find out, but what if he does? Will he kick me out of the pack for breaking his rule? I mean I know I didn't fully break his rule, but I broke most of his rule which was to not mate with Jayden. What would happen if I go kicked out of the pack? Would Jayden leave with me or would he stay? Ugh I don't want to think about this...

Jayden must sense my discomfort, because he wraps my hand in his own. I look up at him nervously and he smiles gently and gives my hand a reassuring squeeze. Telling me I shouldn't be worrying. I sigh and try to calm down. I mean having him around me is calming me, but I'm still nervous. His dad is the Alpha after all.

Mom knocks on the door.

"Come in," the Alpha announces after a moment.

Mom opens the door and we file in after her. Jayden closes it behind us and we wander in. There are only two seats. Jayden motions for both my Mom and myself to sit. We thank him and comply. I release Jayden's hand so that I can sit down. The Alpha straightens up and then I notice his wife standing beside him at his desk. She smiles at me sweetly and I blush but smile back. She's so nice, how did she end up being mates with this grouchy Alpha?

"I'm glad you guys could make it." The Alpha says to us.

"It's our pleasure sir," my Mom says.

"So I'm sure you have an idea of what this meeting is about... Manus. It appears that the intel we received was actually a trick planned by Georgia and Manus. They had a plan the whole time to capture you Sophia, and I'm sorry that I wasn't able to get there early. We should have read through the deception of the fake intel."

Woah, woah, woah. The Alpha just apologized to me? Something's wrong.

I throw my hands up at chest level and wave them, "oh there's no need to apologize sir, it was my mistake for trusting Georgia in the first place, I didn't realize that not only was she working with Manus but she was his mate as well."

Jayden cuts in, "woah, Georgia was his mate? Isn't she our age and he is your age dad?" He asks the Alpha.

The Alpha nods, "yes, the fates work in odd ways. But we got them locked away. When the elites heard about Manus's escape, they ordered for him to be held in their prison. So he is being sent to be in their care. I also wanted to let you know Sophia that I will no longer be needing you to testify against Manus. He has committed so many crimes and Georgia has agreed to tell the truth to the elites in order for her to get a lesser sentence. I don't want to put you through any more trouble than you've been through these past few months."

My eyes go wide. So that's it? I don't have to see Manus anymore? He is gone from my life entirely? "Thank you Alpha... That means so much to me."

He smiles, "you're welcome. Also, I wanted to talk to you, Rachel, about the artifacts."

My mom nods, "of course, what about them sir?"

He sighs, "I wanted to inform you that the necklace artifact has been returned to its original place, the earring was retrieved from Manus, he finally gave it up and we have sent it to a secure spot across the country to another pack that we trust will keep it safe and not use it. For the third artifact," the Alpha looks over at me and at my wrist, "I would like to entrust your family with it. Make sure it never gets in the wrong hands."

My mom smiles, "thanks you sir, does this mean I'm not in trouble for my past mistakes?"

He sighs, "your knowledge has proven to be more useful than harmful. I'm willing to forget about the past, if you agree to never again break this pack's trust."

She smiles thankfully and bows her head, "of course Alpha. I won't let you down."

He smiles, "good. Don't let me regret those words." He checks the clock. "I have another meeting soon, but that's all I have to say for now."

We nod and I stand along with my Mom. Mom leads us toward the door when a loud cough sounds through the room. It was one of those fake coughs that you use to get someone's attention. Judging by the high pitch of the cough, I think it came from the Luna.

"Oh yes, Sophia and Jayden could you come back here for a moment, I would like to speak to you alone." The Aloha adds a bit begrudgingly.

My Mom looks back at me and I whisper, "it's fine, I will just meet you at home later. Love you."

She nods, "love you too Hun."

She closes the door behind herself and I follow Jayden back to the chairs. We don't sit. I'm assuming this will be fast...

Here we go. The one thing that could ruin my good mood. I sigh but ready myself for the heart break of him asking us to keep separate from one another.

"I...um... I wanted to apologize Sophia for the wrong I have caused you. And you Jayden, I'm sorry for forcing Ashley on you the whole time you had a mate." His eyes rest in me. "Sophia, I've come to realize you are a strong girl, and you have a lot of qualities that I see in my mate. I think... that someday you will make a great Luna." He says.

My jaw drops slightly. "Um, thank you so much sir."

The Luna elbow the Alpha gently and he sighs, "Mr. Renalds is fine Sophia."

My cheeks blush. "Oh. Alright then, thank you Mr. Renalds,"

The Luna claps her hands happily and walks around the table. She comes straight toward me and wraps me in her arms. She squeezes me tight, "Welcome to the family Sophia!" She squeals and my cheeks blare red.

Jayden scratches his head awkwardly, "uh mom..."

The Luna unmatched her self quickly and giggles, "my apologies. I was just too excited."

I giggle along with her, "it's fine I'm thankful you guys are willing to look past my flaws..." I admit, a little ashamed of my halfbreed genes.

"Flaws-shmas," she says, "you're our son's mate and that's all that matters to us."

I blush and say gratefully, "thank you it means a lot."

Jayden smiles and grabs my hand in his hand, he looks happy but not surprised. Hold on, did he know this was going to happen? I look into his eyes and he definitely isn't shocked. He for sure knew this was going to happen!

"You ready to go?" He asks me. I nod and turn my head back to the Alpha and Luna.

"Once again thank you both so much. It means a lot to me, I promise I won't make you regret this!"

The Luna giggles and the Alpha smiles at me.

"No problem Sophia," he says.

"Can't wait to see you around," the Luna admits.

"Me either!" I announce excitedly with a wave as Jayden drags me out the door and closes it behind us.

I turn to him and frown. He laughs and pets my head with his free hand. "Don't be angry."

He starts walking away with my hand still wrapped in his, "what do you mean don't be angry? You totally let me freak out this whole time when you knew there was going to be good news!"

He smirks and looks down at me, "oh but come on, you were completely shocked. You should have seen the look on your face, priceless."

I laugh. It's true though, I must have looked so dumb. I couldn't believe the Alpha said those things to me. Honestly I still can't believe it.

We get to Jayden's room and we enter. I shut the door behind us and he goes to flick of the tv. I walk over to his bed and sit down close to the foot of it.

"I still can't believe your dad said that it is okay for us to be together though. It feels like a dream come true, I've been waiting so long for this moment."

He turns to me, "you're not the only one." He strides over to where I'm sitting on the bed and reaches his hand up to caress my cheek. I smile and lean into his hand.

"I know it was nice kissing you when we weren't supposed to be, but I'm real glad that's over now." I admit and look up into his eyes.

He smirks, "same. Now I can do this," he leans down and gives me a slow and passionate kiss, then breaks to add, "whenever I want."

I close my eyes and lean up the extra inch to connect our lips again. I back up on the bed and pull him with me. I lay my head on his pillows and continue the kiss. I moan as our tongues dance together in a beautiful rhythm.

His fingers grip at the bottoms of my shirt and jerk it up. I lift myself off the bed a bit to aid the process. I pant as I push him away gently to break the heated kiss as he pulls the shirt up and over my head and tosses it to the side. I moan as he trails kisses starting at the bottom of my belly, up to my belly button, then over my chest. I hold in more moans as he gently sucks each spot vigorously and thoroughly. His mouth reaches the bridge of my neck.

I sit there in bliss as this weird feeling washes through me. There's something about that spot that causes urges and desires in me that I can't explain.

"Jayden," I moan his name as he continues to kiss the spot between my shoulder and neck.

His teeth scrape the spot and I feel my legs go weak. Suddenly I feel a shark pain in my neck. I whimper and grip Jayden's shirt tightly. I hug him closer to me as the pain fills my body. I feel a small trickle of blood flow down my neck and I pant. Jayden gently licks the spot he just bit and a weird but calming feeling washes over me, pushing the pain away. The calm quickly turns to desire, and I start to breathe heavy again as his licking causes a craving deep within me. My cheeks blush red as the sensation gets more and more intense. I feel like I'm going to explode, but in the best possible way.

I struggle to hold in the moans, but suddenly Jayden returns to my face from my neck. I pant gently as I look into his eyes. He gently kisses my nose and gives me a sympathetic face.

"I'm sorry if that hurt... I tried to be gentle... But I've been dying to do that since I met you." I blush. Since he met me? He's been fighting this urge that long?

"It only hurt for a little bit," I comment.

He kisses me on the forehead, "you don't have to lie to me Soph."

I look at him confused, "I'm not lying to you."

"Then why are you breathing hard and gripping my shirt tightly?"

I look down to see that I'm still grabbing his shirt and I blush intensely. Well this is embarrassing.

"Well?" He asks.

I look to the side and admit, "because it felt really, really, good towards the end..."

I see his smirk from the corner of my eyes, "oh well if that's the case, want me to do it again?"

I blush deeply, "No way, only one bite for you. What are you a vampire?"

He laughs and trails his one finger up my arm and toward my shoulder, "no you goof, I don't ever have to bite it again, but it's a spot where only I can make you feel good."

His fingers reach the mark and gently skim over it. A moan escapes my lips since I wasn't expecting this sensation. I close my eyes as I feel his lips touch the spot again. He kisses it gently and I can't contain my moans and whimpers of pleasure as he continues. Sensations I've only ever felt last night run through my body and I find myself gripping his shirt again.

Knock. Knock.

"Sophia I know you're in there!" Lexi yells from the hall and I sigh in disappointment as Jayden leans up from the bed and looks down at me.

"She really knows how to pick her moments, huh?" He says to me.

I laugh, "yeah she's special all right."

"Sophia!" She yells.

I groan then yell, "coming!"

Jayden rolls to the side, allowing me to get up. I hop off the bed and find my shirt on the floor. I untuck it from being inside out and toss it over my head. I glance back at Jayden then smile. I quickly run up to him and kiss him on the lips then scurry away to the door.

I open it wide, "hey bud. What's wrong?" I ask.

She shrugs. "Nothing, I just missed you is all. What are you and Jayden up to, want to hang out?"

I laugh at that, "yeah. Sure, we can hang out. Want to go play some games or some thing? We can invite Vince." I suggest.

Lexi thinks for a moment, "yeah alright, that sounds good."

My jaw drops, "wait seriously? You're not going to argue about the Vince thing?"

She sighs, "no. Honestly, after yesterday and seeing so many things happen and almost losing you like twice, I realized just how important friends and family are, and I don't want to take Vince for granted, even if he is a player and a pain in my butt..."

I squeal, "aww Lexi that's awesome of you! And so mature! I'm so happy!"

She rolls her eyes but smiles, I know she is happy about her choice as well. Just then, her face contorts a bit. She smells the air and turns to me, "you smell different." She comments.

I blush, "is that a bad thing?"

She shakes her head, "no not bad but you kinda smell like... Jayden?"

My cheeks flare red. Is this normal, am I supposed to smell like him?

Her eyes widen, "oh snap." She reaches up to my shoulder and tears down my shirt a bit revealing the mark. Oh boy. "Oh my god! You guys mated full!"

I slap my hand to my forehead, "oh boy."

Jayden comes up to the door and laughs, "oh yeah I forgot to mention Soph that soon enough everyone will know you're my mate by your scent."

My jaw drops. "Are you serious?"

Lexi cuts in. "He's not lying. And since he has Alpha's blood the scent will be that much stronger because the rest of the pack needs to know that they have to respect you now."

"Oh god... I don't know if I'm ready for this." I add. I'm not very good with attention.

"Well you better start preparing because I'm going to go tell everyone," she giggles as she runs down the hall.

"No Lexi! Don't do that!" I scream and chase after her full force.

I laugh as we run through the halls like little children. I'm so glad I moved here with Mom. Granted a lot of terrible things happened, but in the end, I got a irreplaceable best friend and an unforgettable mate.
