I didn't get to see Jayden the rest of the party. Now, I'm regretting not giving him that good-bye kiss... The weekend went by quickly, Lexi now has me training with other werewolves and her dad, since I'm now part of the pack. I worked my butt off all weekend, I have never sweat so much in my life! My whole body is completely exhausted, I don't know how I'm going to make it through school today...

After pondering my thoughts for a while I get out of bed and slowly walk to my closet, I tiredly manage to pick out my clothes. I put on a maroon colored dress that is very tight and short. I grab a jacket, phone and backpack then head out to my car and drive to school. I don't even bother getting breakfast because I'm so tired that if I ate anything I would feel sick. When I arrive in the parking lot, I hope out of me car and bend down to grab my backpack. As I'm bending down a growl sounds in my head followed by Jayden's voice, 'Sofia, one of these days your going to kill me with the kind of things you wear.'

I smirk and say 'Perv, keep your eyes to yourself!' I hear laughter in my head as a response and I smile, I can never stop loving the sweet tone of his laugh.

After that I walk into the school and meet up with Lexi, "Hey Lexi!" I smile at her.

"Damn you look good today, any particular reason?" She eyeballs me curiously then adds, "I thought you said you were done trying to make Jayden jealous?" She asks me while looking me up and down.

"I am done, but after all the hard work this weekend I figured I deserved to look pretty." I grin at her. She laughs and pats me on the back.

"You did do well this weekend, I'm proud! I need to head to class now though, Mrs. Smith wants to see me before the rest of the class arrives so I will see you later!" She waves and leaves me at her locker.

"Bye Lexi!" I wave back and lean against her locker. Hmm, what to do... I decide to walk around the school considering I have plenty of time to do nothing.

After what seemed like only a few minutes of walking around,the warning bell rings and I realize that I need to get to class. Wow I must have been walking longer then I thought I was.

As I walk quickly to get to class, a hand reaches out from a classroom and drags me in. I squeal from shock but they cover my mouth. That's when I feel the sparks running through my body and I immediately relax. Jayden smirks down at me. "The teacher in this room doesn't get into school until third block." I raise an eyebrow at him.

I take his hand off my mouth and say, "Oh so this is how we are going to work from now on? Constantly skipping class to be together?" I laugh at him. He smiles from seeing my laughter.

He replies, "No this isn't how we are going to work from now on, but I do believe you owe me a kiss Ms. Hail." He leans down toward me. I roll my eyes then close them and wait for the joyful sensation I haven't felt since Friday, but it never comes. I open my eyes to see Jayden silently laughing at me. I frown then hit him on the chest.

"That's so not funny. If that was all you wanted then I'm going to leave now." I huff then head toward the door.

"Wait Sofia I was kidding, I had to get you back from Friday! We are even now." He says. I turn around and glare at him. He lets out a sigh and says, "Fine, I'm sorry..." I smirk at him victoriously.

I walk up to him, get on my tippy toes and whisper in his ear, "It's fine, just don't let it happen again." He growls and lifts me up and places me down on a desk, I land with a thud and he crushes his lips to mine.

Damn someone's eager today. I kiss him back with the same amount of force. This time, it's my turn to take control and explore his mouth. I lick his bottom lip to let him know I want entrance, I feel his smirk, then he opens his mouth and allows me to enter. Our tongues dance for a while and I enjoy the presence of Jayden around me. He takes his hands and slowly moves them down from my hips and over my thighs, he reaches the bottom hem of the dress and softly traces the skin that's there. Slowly his fingers inch up my thigh and under the material of my dress. I moan from the sensation of his skin against mine. Once again, he stops the make out session and I whimper.

He laughs at me, "Trust me Soph, neither of us want me to take it further than that for now. It will end poorly for both of us." I pout my bottom lip out and do my puppy dog face, "No Sofia, stop that. You know I don't want to say no to you, but I have to in this case." I sigh loudly.

"I know... I just wish things were different and we could be together in public... We literally have only been doing this secretive thing for not even three days and I'm tired of it..." I sigh. He holds my chin up so I'm looking directly into his eyes.

"Sofia we will find a way so that we can eventually be together in public it's just that... Things are complicated with my dad..." Even though I heard the conversation between him and his dad at the party, I know there might be more to it.

I ask, "Can you tell me why it's complicated?" I put his hand in mine and look up at him.

"It's a long story, are you sure you really want to know? I don't think you're going to like it," I nod which tells him to continue, "Okay... well I guess it all started a couple of summers ago, my dad and the Beta, who is also Ashley's dad, went on a trip together to another pack. While they were gone Ashley and I kind of... Well got together, and she basically fell in love with me. I didn't mean for it to end that way but it did. When they arrived back Ashley told her father that we were meant to be together even though we weren't mates, and my father agreed that we would be good for one another.

"So ever since that day my dad has basically considered Ashley his daughter-in-law. Obviously I didn't agree, but my dad forced me to date her to get me to change my mind. It didnt work, so my dad told me the only way I can get out of marrying her is if I find my mate. That's when you came along. When I met you Sofia you were human... My great-grandfather created a law for this pack years ago that a werewolf is never allowed to mate with a human, even if it's your true mate. So in order to not betray my pack, and its laws, I had to busy myself with Ashley so I wouldn't think about you. Then a couple of days later I found out you were a werewolf and I became pissed at myself for not realizing it sooner..." He trails off.

I squeeze his hand and say, "Jayden that's all in the past, I understand. But your dad should just understand that I'm not human, and he should just accept me..." I say. After a quick pause I add, "But the one thing that gets me the most from what you said is... The whole not mating with a human thing, is that really a law?" He nods his head. So that's how my mom betrayed the pack years ago. That must have been why her and dad ran off and she didn't return until after he died.

"But the thing that makes it complicated... Is your mom. My father believes it's because of your mother's mistakes that you are not worthy to be my mate. Honestly I think it's ridiculous, you had nothing to do with your mom betraying the pack..." He trails off again. I look at him with a strange face.

"Isn't it normal for her to want to be with her mate though, it's not like you can blame her, I mean imagine never being able to touch me or hold me. She probably couldn't control herself anymore, it's not her fault the fates mated her to a human!"

I start to freak out. So because my mom followed her heart and did what she was supposed to do, I'm punished by not being allowed to be with my mate? That's preposterous. Anger fills me.

"Your father is being so unfair!" I shout. I let go of Jayden's hand and begin to pace around the room so I can continue my rant. "Why can't he just see that if I wasn't meant to be with you then I wouldn't be your mate?"

"Sofia, I think you need to calm down a little bit..." He says. "We will figure it out, so don't worry about it. I'm not sure if that's the only reason behind him being like this right now but I'm going to find out as much as I can. You just need to relax so you don't shift in school." He walks over to me and wraps me in a tight embrace. I hug him back and inhale his deep masculine scent. Wow his presence actually did calm me down... Weird.

I take a deep breath then look at him, "You're right, I'm sorry... It's just the only difference between me and a regular werewolf is that I shifted later. So I don't see the problem with me being a half breed."

"Well you see..." He takes a deep breath and runs his hand through his hair. "That's not the only difference..."

I look at him questioningly, "What do you mean that's not the only difference?"

He looks down and says, "Even though some half-breeds are able to shift, most can't, but the ones that can don't have an inner wolf like the rest of us. An inner wolf is a soul that holds all of your wolf instincts and it communicates with you in your mind, you receive your wolf as soon as you go through your first shift."

I tilt my head to the side and say, "So what you're saying is that I have less wolf instincts than you, and that I'm missing a wolf in my head?" He nods. "I don't see how that makes me that much worse than Ashley. Why can't your dad just accept the fact that I may be different but I'm still strong." I huff then lean my head on Jayden's chest and let out a sigh, then I add quietly, "Is it nice having a wolf in your head?"

He wraps his arms around me again and holds me tight, "Honestly he can get really annoying at times but he is part of me. I love having him around most of the time but he makes things so much worse at other times." He laughs to himself. "Especially when it's about you."

Me? Huh. I whisper, "So your wolf likes me?"

He lets out a quick laugh and leans down to whisper in my ear, "Likes you? Sofia my wolf is head over heels for you, just like I am. Whenever I get jealous over you, he gets ten times more jealous. Sometimes he even tries to take over my body and destroy whoever comes near you or touches you. Don't worry though, I have him under control," I smile as my heart fills with joy. Well at least his wolf likes me!

Suddenly the bell rings and I jump out of Jayden's arms in shock. I look up at him and drop my jaw open. I can't believe I missed first block completely! "How were we talking for so long? Crap we need to get out of here!" I say. He suddenly laughs. "Is something funny to you? I've never skipped a class before Jayden this is crazy!"

"Relax Soph, it will all be okay, why don't you go now and I will leave the room soon so that no ones sees us together..." He says and looks at me apologetically. I nod my head and wave good-bye to him and head into the hall way and act as if nothing happened.

Oh my gosh! Lexi's probably waiting for me! I sprint down the hall and head toward physics. I'm going to have to come up with a big lie in order to get this one past Lexi....
