Waking up I realize that it is almost 2:00. Oops I forgot to set my alarm for school. Oh well, I didn't want to have to face anyone today anyway, I'm still a little messed up from last night. I reach over onto my nightstand and grab my phone. I see that I have five missed calls from Lexi and two missed calls from my mom. I decide I will call my mom back now. I dial her number; it rings once before mom picks up, "Oh Sofia! I'm so glad your okay. Why didn't you answer me last night?" she asks angrily.

"Sorry mom." I say in a sad tone, "I left my phone at home, I went to a friends house for a little while after the football game and when I came home I just fell asleep. I didn't even look at my phone I'm sorry." I sigh.

My mom's tone turns from anger to that of concern, "Is everything okay sweetie?" she asks.

"Yeah mom everything is fine, and I'm sorry I forgot to set my alarm so I didn't end up going to school..." I hop out of my bed and throw some shorts on and head downstairs to get some cereal.

She sighs, "I guess that it's okay, but just this once. Don't think I'm letting it happen again, do you understand?"

I open up the fridge and grab the milk, "Yes mom I understand, it wont happen again I swear." After placing the milk on the table I grab a bowl, a spoon, and the Fruity Pebbles.

"Okay good, well I have to go Hun, Will is calling me. I will talk to you later tonight alright?" she asks in a friendly tone.

I giggle, "Yup that's fine, talk to you tonight. I love you!"

"I love you too sweetie." She replies and then we hang up the phone. I pour the cereal and milk into the bowl and begin eating. All of a sudden my front door flies open with a thud to reveal an extremely stressed out and angry Lexi. Oh shit.

"Excuse me but I think you completely forgot about me! How can you always leave me behind and never tell me what's going on? Do you realize how stressful it is to look for you everywhere and notice that you're just, gone? Plus you didn't even answer your phone! What if someone stole you? Sofia you can't just disappear all the time!" She shouts at me. I just stare at her with a spoon full of Fruity Pebbles in my mouth. "Why the hell did you leave without telling me Sofia, I was so worried about you!" She looks like she's about to cry and then she sits down at the table and looks at me with her watering and sad eyes. Wow, talk about mood swings.

I finish chewing my bite and say, "Lexi, I'm so sorry, but you have to understand I had a really rough night." She looks up at me with expecting eyes asking me to continue talking. I sigh, "See first I basically get drunk out of my mind, Roy almost rapes me, Jayden saves me then completely apologizes for everything, and to top it all off I basically tell Jayden that he can't be with me still!" Ugh what a mouth full. Her mouth drops open.

"Oh my gosh, Sofie I had no idea... You should have found me, I would have helped you through it." She says with concern in her eyes. She stands up from her seat across the table and comes to sit next to me, "You know that I'm always here for you right?" She says.

"I know but I had to handle last night on my own, and honestly I'm doing fine. Sure I never want to experience that night again, but I'm just glad it's over..." I say with a shrug.

Lexi stands up and says, "Well are you up for your training today? It would be bad to miss a day..." I smile up at her and grab my dishes and put them away into the dishwasher.

"I'm up for training! We can go right now if you're okay with that?" She looks at me questionably.

"Uh, Sofie are you sure you're okay. People don't usually take these things this lightly; you're acting as if nothing happened last night. I'm starting to get concerned." I shake my head at her and walk toward the back door.

"No need to be concerned, I'm fine, honestly!" I really am fine. I'm not sure why but I am...

"If you say so..." she shuts the back door behind her and we shift behind our normal trees and do our normal run and training drills. I'm getting faster and stronger already and it has only been three days, just imagine how I will be in a matter of months. By the time we finish it is almost 4:00pm. Lexi and I say good bye to one another and she goes home while I walk inside. My parents should be back in a couple of hours, hmm what to do.

I end up showering and falling asleep, not even bothering to eat dinner or wait for mom and Will to get home.
