I'm standing at my car waiting for Lexi to get out here, when a boy from my English class walks up to me. I think his name is Roy? I'm not sure though. "Hey Sofia, I was wondering if you heard about the party on Wednesday?"

I look at him, "Yeah I was already informed about it why?" I ask and lean against my car to help relax my legs a little bit.

"Well I was wondering if you would want to go with me, I'm one of the starting defenders on our football team so if you came to watch the game I could just bring you to the party after." he says. Checking him out he really isn't that bad looking, he has a pretty big build and light brown hair that's on the shorter side, actually he is very attractive but he is nothing compared to Jayden...

"Uh, well-" I'm cut off by a voice coming from behind Roy.

"Of course she will go with you!" Lexi squeals walking up to us. Then turns to me and whispers, "You were going to say yes right?" She gives me a knowing look like it's part of her plan so I smile and turn to Roy.

"Of course I was going to say yes! So I will come watch you at the game then you can take me. I'll see you there." I say as I get ready to enter my car.

"Cool, see you then Sofia." He winks at me then walks away. I hurrily get into my car and when Lexi gets in I go off on her.

"No I wasn't going to say yes! This wasn't part of the plan Lexi! I don't want him to think that we are going to hook up or anything!" I shout at her. She laughs at me then puts her hands up.

"Okay, relax this will all help you in the long run. You know now that Jayden will find out that your going to the party with someone because Roy will be bragging to the whole football team about bringing you to the party. Since Jayden is the quarterback he will definitely find out and get pissed. So it will help you out in the long run." I think over what she just said, and it actually makes sense.

"Okay fine, but the only thing I will do with Roy is dance with him." I state firmly.

She laughs at me and says, "That's fine Soph, but let's hurry up and get back so we can run and train before your meeting with the Alpha."

I nod in agreement and turn on my car. We get to my house and Lexi leads me out to the woods.

"Now go get undressed behind that tree and shift. Then meet me out here. Just do as I do. Since you're not part of the pack yet I can't mind link to you, so we can't talk to each other. So you're just going to have to do as I do." She states.

"Wait!" I scream, stopping her from going behind her tree and changing, "I have two questions for you... One what is a mind link and two I'm not sure how to shift..."

She spins around and drops her jaw in amazement. "Damn Soph you really are new at this... Okay so a mind link is a way for werewolves to communicate in their wolf form since you can't talk out loud. It's just like sending your thoughts to other werewolves. Also in order to shift you just need to picture yourself as a wolf and you will change, but don't worry it won't hurt like the first time you changed, it will actually feel nice! Now go." We both laugh and go behind our separate trees.

Once I take my clothes off I imagine myself as a wolf. Suddenly the best feeling washes through my body, when I open my eyes I see life from a whole new level. I look down and see my paws, knowing I was successful I walk out from behind the tree to see a beautiful light golden wolf with white paws and a white tip to its tail. I know that it is Lexi so I trot up to her. She barks at me then points her head toward the inner part of the woods. I nod telling her that I'm ready for the run.

Lexi starts off with a jog and I follow her every moves. We slowly gain speed and take off into a full sprint with the wind blowing through our fur. She has us jump over fallen trees and duck under low branches, I realize that she is trying to not only get my stamina up but my agility too. I also realize that I'm not that bad with either stamina nor agility, I can actually keep up with Lexi.

After about an hour of this Lexi runs us back to my house and she stands in my back yard. I stand in front of her knowing that it is time to train for fighting. She jumps at me and I try to dodge but she gets my leg and throws me to the floor. When she lets go of my leg I stand up and she attacks me again. We do this over fifteen times before I manage to dodge her. After a while she stops and trots over to the tree where she changed and I know we are done for the day. I walk over to my tree, panting from being tired and shift back to human form and change into my clothes.

I step out from behind my tree drenched in sweat and see Lexi, who is also sweaty but not nearly as bad as I, standing there.

She says, "You did good today but you definitely need a lot of work. But that's what I'm here for so don't worry about it. I'm going to head home now so you should go shower and get ready to meet the Alpha. Just warning you now, don't look him in the eyes he hates that. Also he is very intimidating but just be yourself!"

I smile gratefully, "Thanks for the advice Lexi, and see you later. Also thanks for the training!" I wave to her and walk toward my house.

"No problem girl. Good luck!" She shouts.

I take a really fast shower and get ready in one of the few non-revealing dresses I own and head down stairs to tell my mom I'm leaving.

I reach the bottom step and see that my mom is there waiting with my keys in one of her hands and directions in her other. "Here you go Sofia, now remember be very respectful and never interrupt him, you understand me?" She hands me the things in her hands and pushes me toward the door.

"Don't worry mom. I've got this! I'm pretty good at respecting others." I say to her as we get to the front door.

"I will try not to worry... Okay Sofie good luck, and you look nice by the way!" She says as I leave.

I laugh, "Thanks mom I will see you later!" I shout back as I get into my car. I take out the directions and read them over. They are simple enough, he only lives about ten minutes away, so that's not bad.

I get to the Alpha's house and turn off my car. His house is huge! It's even bigger than Will's mansion. That's pretty impressive but I guess it is expected considering he is the top of the pack and needs the best of the best. I walk up to the front door and ring the doorbell. A beautiful women answers the door. She is tall and tan, with dark brown wavy hair that is quite long. "Hi honey, you must be Sofia Hail! I'm Laurie Renalds it's so nice to meet you!" She flashes me her pearly white teeth.

She's the Alpha's wife! I bow my head in respect and say, "It'a nice to meet you Luna." It's a good thing my mom told me earlier that the female Alpha is called a Luna or else I wouldn't have known what to call her!

She laughs and say, "Honey there is no need to be so formal, you can just call me Mrs. Renalds."

I look up and smile at her apologetically, "I'm sorry Mrs. Renalds..."

She steps back from the door and smiles, "Oh hun there is no need to be sorry, now come in please! Jim is inside his office, to get there go down the hall, take a left, and it will be the first door on your right!"

I walk into the house, "Thank you so much Mrs. Renalds, I hope I see you later!" I follow her directions and reach a door. I knock and a deep voice answers.

"Come in." I slowly open the door then shut it behind me. I smile as he says, "Ah you must be Sofia, just give me one second here." He quickly shuffles some of his papers up then places them in a stack and stands. "Alright, right this way Sofia." He walks past me, opens the door and begins to walk down the hall. I quickly follow him. "So Sofia, your mom tells me that you don't know anything about being accepted into a pack so that is why you are here now.

"This is the auditorium where you will be introduced to the pack. Basically you will have to walk up to the stage by yourself, and then I will say the accepting ceremonial phrase and you will have to change into your wolf in front of the whole pack. After that we will just celebrate your acceptance with a party that everyone in the pack will attend and that will be all. But unfortunately, I need to start getting ready for the pack meeting we have tomorrow with all the elders which is a couple of towns away, so my son will show you everything you have to do step by step. Let me go get him." He says. He walks out of the auditorium and leaves me there.

Wait, his son is Jayden! I don't want to be alone with him right now, that's so not part of the plan! Panic flashes through me and I have the urge to pull out my cell phone and call Lexi. I can't see him without a plan! What if I mess it up?

Soon the Alpha returns with Jayden behind him. "Jayden this is my cousin Will's step-daughter Sofia, Sofia this is my son Jayden." Jayden's eyes widen.

"Wait she is Will's step-daughter?" He asks shocked. Damn, Will really doesn't talk to his pack ever, does he?

"Yes, is there a problem with that Jayden?" The Alpha asks sternly, looking at his son.

"No sir." He brings his eyes down.

"Good." The alpha cheers up immediately. "Well I'm off to go pack my bags, Jayden will you please show Sofia step-for-step what she will have to do on Friday?" Without giving him a chance to answer he then says, "Thank you. Have a good day Sofia, it was nice meeting you." He waves at me.

I smile back at him and say "It was nice meeting you too Alpha, have fun at your pack meeting!" I wave.

"Oh I won't!" He says and with that he leaves Jayden and me by ourselves. Awkward silence fills the room. Shit this is so weird... Say something Sofia!

"So... Your dad seems like a nice guy..." I state, not wanting the awkward silence to surround us again.

"Not when you get to know him he's not." He grunts, folds his arms over his broad chest then looks away from me. What does he mean by that? Hmm, it's probably just a father-son thing.

"Whatever, let's just get this done and over with. Come here." He begins to walk away, but I don't follow, no one orders me around like that. I cross my arms over my chest and put a scowl on my face. He turns around and sees that I haven't moved. "Sofia don't do this, come here now." He says firmly, something about his voice made me want to walk over to him but I stayed put. His face turns to shock when he realizes that I haven't moved.

"I'm not moving until you ask me nicely." I say sternly. He lets out a grunt then starts walking toward me. I put on a questioning face and say, "what are you doing?"

"If you're not going to come when I tell you to, I'm going to make you come over here." I quickly uncross my arms when I realize he is going to bring me over to where he was standing. And then an idea hits me.

I smirk at him and say, "Looks like your going to have to catch me."

He looks confused for a second then he says, "Sofia no!"

I turn around before he can grab me and take off running aimlessly around the room so he can't catch me. I turn my head around real fast and realize that he is right on my tail! Shit! Faster Sofia! You can do it! I'm about to make it onto the stage, but suddenly arms wrap around my waist and stop me in my tracks. His arms pull me flat against his chest and he whispers in my ear, "You can't run from me Sofia Hail." I shiver in delight from his closeness and the way my name flowed from his lips. Then suddenly I'm thrown over his shoulder as he walks over to where he wanted me in the first place, then puts me down gently.

I put on a pouty face and look at the ground then say, "That is so not far." Then I look up from the ground and into Jayden's captivating green eyes.

He raises an eyebrow at me then says, "It is fair. It's not my fault you're slow." He shrugs.

My jaw drops. Oh he did not just say that! "Excuse me but I am not slow! Your just inhumanly fast, and that's not fair." I state firmly and give him a scowl.

He laughs, damn so that's what his laugh sounds like. It's extremely deep and sexy, I bite my lip as I think about what it would be like to hear him laugh like that all the time. Suddenly Jayden brings his hand to my chin and pulls down a little, causing my lip to gently be pop out from my bite. "Didn't I tell you to stop doing that Sofia." He says, his face turning back to his normal seriousness.

I grab his wrist and remove his hand from my face, "I don't believe you told me not to do that, but either way I don't have to listen to you." Way to ruin a good moment for me Jayden, I complain in my head.

"You do realize that as soon as you enter this pack that you're going to have to listen to me right? I'm going to be Alpha in a couple of years, my dad just wants me to get marrie... Never mind, but when that happens you're going to have to obey my commands." He says.

I huff, "The day you become Alpha is the day I'm out of this pack." I state. I see a quick pained expression cross over Jayden's face then he covers it up quickly and looks down toward his hand. I look down with him and realize that I was holding his wrist the whole time, oops! I quickly drop his wrist.

"Alright let's gets this done and over with since it's clear neither of us wants to be here right now." He says.

Honestly even though we are arguing I'm actually enjoying his presence, but clearly I'm the only one.

"So this is where you will enter, then you will walk down this aisle," he says as he walks down the aisle, I follow him and then he reaches the side of the stage where the stairs are,"then you will walk up here then stand next to the podium." He proceeds to walk up the stairs and once again I follow him without saying a word. "My dad will speak his phrase that allows you to be accepted into the pack and then you will have to shift in front of everyone. After that, you just go behind the stage and you can change into your dress or whatever you are wearing to the party."

"So is there an area back there where I can just leave my dress before the ceremony, or do I have to have my mom come back there and bring my dress to me afterward?" I ask. I need to know these things or else I will be in wolf form without a way to change back unless I want to be naked in front of everyone!

"You can just bring it before hand, here I will show you where you can put it."

We walk behind the curtains that are on the stage and into a changing room. Okay this place is cute, it's a small room with a mirror, table, and a small built in closet. "Just make sure you leave the door open when you put the dress in here since you will be in your wolf form when you come back." He says.

His runs his hand through his hair. Damn he gets me every time he does that. He looks up at me and I noticed his eyes are turning a much darker green then they were before...

Suddenly he slowly starts walking toward me. I back up but I'm stopped by the wall that's behind me. When he gets close enough he rests one of his hands on the wall next to my head and brings the other to my chin and gently pulls. Without realizing it, I was biting my lip. Shit. I look at his eyes again and see that they are completely black and he's staring at me with lust and hunger clearly written on his face. He slowly leans down and inches his lips to mine, I close my eyes in anticipation, just waiting to finally feel the sensation of his soft lips on mine.

"Jayden where are you?" A girly voice screams, she's so loud that it sounds through the whole aditorium. "Your mom told me you were in here!" I quickly open my eyes to see that Jayden's face is still close to mine but his eyes are shut, as if he is in pain. He slowly pushes off the wall. Then he looks away from me.

"We should get going." He says. His voice is strained but he begins to walk out of the changing room. I slowly get off the wall and follow behind him keeping my head down.

"Yeah we should get going..." I say in a sad whisper knowing he wouldn't hear it. We approach the front of the stage and I hear a squeal. I see Ashley run up the stairs and jump into Jayden's arm. Pain shoots through my heart but I manage to stay standing.

"Honey I missed you, I was worried because I didn't get to see you after practice." She stops talking then turns her head when she finally notices my presence, "what is she doing here?" She hisses and turns to Jayden.

"My dad had me show her around, she is getting accepted into the pack on Friday and he wanted me to tell her exactly what she has to do." He says to her in the same serious voice he always uses.

"Well, I'm going to leave now... Thanks for um... Showing me around Jayden." I say and walk away from them. I don't look back. The pain is too unbearable.

I leave their place and head straight to my house. What the hell was I thinking? He's dating Ashley why would he want to kiss me. I must have looked so stupid to him. Tears begin to fill my eyes. I reach my house and park my car. I run straight to my room and lay on my bed. Okay Sofia, don't worry you still have the plan tomorrow... That will surely work... Right? I close my eyes and let the sleep take over me.
