This picture represents something I've been thinking about for a while as well. That black actually is good. While white is bad. Think about it. Being in a white room for more that a few minutes, people start to lose their grip on reality... AKA go insane. Like the person wearing white in the picture. While the person wearing black seems to protecting the one in the middle. Like it's normal for us to be in a dark room right? I mean, we sleep, except me because sleep is for the weak. But we sleep in a dark room right? Being in a bright white room can start to grind away at your sanity because if looks endless and it's white and very bright and it can hurt your eyes.
