Alex: Oh no, I don't want to cause any trouble for you.

Y/N: We insist. We want you to come home with us and try to have a better life.

Alex: Uhmm... I think I'll be fine in the orphanage.

Mom: Nonsense! We've heard about your troubles and we want to help you.

Dad: Give it a try Alex. I think Y/N would be a good big brother.

Y/N: Uhh dad, she's just like two years younger than me.

Alex: *giggles* You're still older Y/N.

Mom: So, what do you say Alex?

Alex looks up at Y/N who gives her an assuring smile. She smiles back and nods in agreement. The L/N family had joyful expressions on their faces at the moment.

Y/N: Seems like you would be staying here in the hospital for the night. You'll be discharged tomorrow.

Alex: I'm excited to come with y'all.

Mom: And we're excited to have you!

Dad: Now all that's left is the signing of the documents and we should be good to go.

Alex: I'd like that *smiles*

Mom: Have a good night's rest dear....

Y/N: See you tomorrow Alex.

Alex: Thank you so much. See you all later!

The L/N family went out off the hospital and got into their car and drove towards their home.

Mom: Sweet girl, isn't she?

Dad: Yeah, and she'll be here from tomorrow.

Y/N: *sigh* I hope she'll be fine with us.

Y/N's mom placed her arm across his shoulder and gave him an assuring look. Y/N flashed a smile at his mom.

After a few minutes, they arrived at their house. Y/N went into his room and flopped on his bed.

Y/N began scrolling through his phone and opened up the group chat. It was buzzing with messages.

Y/N: Umm... Hey guys.

Gwen: OMG Y/N, are you ok?!

Y/N: Yeah, everything's taken care of. I'm fine!

Peter: And what happened to her.....? Uhm what was her name again?

Miles: It was Alex right?

Y/N: Yep, and she's in a stable condition right now.

Noir: Well that's great.

Peni: Poor soul, why were they even after her?

Y/N: That's a quite complicated issue. I'll tell y'all later about the events happening at the moment.

Gwen: Hmm...... Glad to know that everything's alright.

Y/N: If it wasn't for Miles, things would have gotten more troublesome.

Miles: Luckily, a hammer was over there. So...... Bam!

Y/N: I'm pretty sure you dislocated his shoulder lol.

Y/N: Good idea Pete. So Imma head off too. It's been a tiring day.....

Y/N: Yeah, have a good night's rest guys.

Y/N closed the app and turned off his phone and then closed his eyes, falling into a deep sleep a few moments after.

The Next Morning

Y/N woke up at 9 in the morning. It was a Saturday, start of the weekend. A brief break from school.

He went to downstairs and saw that his mom was cooking breakfast and his dad was calling someone.

Y/N's dad had a wide smile before he cut the call.

Y/N: What happened dad?

Dad: *sigh* The adoption is finalized.

Mom: *gasp* That's great news!

Y/N: W-wow, that was quick! I hope she'll be fine with us here.

Mom: Why would we worry if you're there for her?

Dad: Don't make her be like you though!

Y/N: Wait what?!

Mom: *giggles* Oh, just leave him alone F/N.

Dad: Just messing with ya kid.

Y/N: Very funny, dad.....

Dad: The authorities told me that she'll be here by 5 pm.

Mom: Well, we'd better start preparing then. We got to give her a proper welcome.

Y/N: Let's get on with it then!

Mom: So here's a list, go buy these when you finish eating your breakfast.

Y/N: Ok mom.

Dad: And by the way, she studies in the same school as you.

Y/N: Oh really? Uhm, I don't think I've seen her at the hallways.

Dad: Well I hope she would be fine in school as before. But with you closer to her would provide a good boost to her morale, you know?

Y/N: Yeah, of course! We'll meet up at the breaks or something.

Mom: I hope the plans for today are understandable and set.

Dad: Yes ma'am.

Y/N: Hehe, yeah mom.

Mom: So, eat your breakfast now. And we can start after that.

Y/N and his dad nodded in agreement and sat down for their breakfast.

After that both of them went out for their necessary duties for today.

They bought all the necessary items from the store and helped re decorate the home, mainly the spare bedroom for the new member.

And Y/N's mom was preparing something special for dinner on this special occasion.

It was finally time. She would arrive at the house any moment now. The family was both anxious and excited at the moment.

After a few minutes, the doorbell rang. Y/N went up to the door and opened it. It was Alex and an officer near her. She had a few bandages on her arms. And she had tied up her brown hair in a bun.

Y/N: Oh, Welcome!

Mom: We are thrilled to have you here with us, Alex.

Alex: Oh, uhm.. yeah. I'm happy to be here too, Mrs L/N.

Mom: Oh, you know you can call me by mo-

Y/N: Let her be accustomed here first, mom.

Mom: Oh, yeah. You're right. Welcome again, Alex.

Alex: *smiles* Thanks!

Dad: Thank you for bringing her here officer.

Officer: No problem. And by the way, Congratulations and best wishes.

Dad: Thanks!

Mom: Oh, uhm would you like to join us for dinner?

Officer: I appreciate the offer ma'am but I got a tight schedule ahead. Good day.

The officer shook F/N's hand and quickly took his leave. Now Alex was left with her new family.

Dad: Come in!

Alex: Yeah, thanks!

Alex walked into the house. It smelled really fresh. And there was a welcome banner on the top. Alex had a surprised smile on her face.

Dad: Well Y/N, would you like to take Alex on a tour of the house?

Y/N: Yeah. Alex, care to join me?

Alex: Yeah, sure! Let's go!

Y/N began showing her around the house. He took her to the balcony. The view was quite nice and the fresh air blew on their faces. Alex removed her bun and let her hair flow freely. She looked peaceful.

Y/N: How's this?

Alex: This is really great. The view is beautiful. *smiles*

Y/N: You know what?

Alex: What?

Y/N: Your smile is really beautiful.

Alex: Oh..... Thanks. *smiles*

After that, Y/N showed her all the other rooms. And then they arrived at her bedroom.

Alex: Woah, is this for me?!

Y/N: Well yeah.

Alex: It's a really nice room!

Y/N: Glad you like it.

Alex: I love it....  Thank you for everything.

Alex let out a sad smile. Y/N noticed a tear falling from her eyes. He wiped it away, surprising Alex a little.

Y/N: Heyyy.... Cheer up! We don't need a sad girl at dinner right?

Alex: Haha, yeah. Thanks Y/N.

Y/N: Take a look at the box near you.

Alex: Hmm, what's in this?

Y/N: Open it, it's a gift.

Alex opened up the gift and found out that it was a smartphone. Her eyes and mouth widened. Y/N flashed a smile at her.

Alex: For me?

Y/N: Who else?

Alex: Well I don't know how to properly use these.

Y/N: I'll show you later.

Alex: *sigh* I don't know how many "Thank Yous" I've said today.

Y/N: Hehe, I just wanna say....... Welcome Sis!

Alex let out a sweet smile at Y/N. Suddenly, mom called them from the kitchen for dinner.

Both of them went downstairs. The plates were set up quite nicely. And the food looked quite delicious.

Mom: Come on, sit.

Alex: Y-yeah

Everyone sat down to eat their share. They talked a bit in between bites. Alex just nodded with regard to the questions and stuff. She had been really enjoying the meal. She finally got to eat good food after many days. It was nice.

Consider this as one of the delicacies lmao XD. Looks good, doesn't it?

After everyone seemed to be full, Y/N's mom gathered all the plates. Suddenly both Alex and Y/N got up to help her with the plates.

Mom: Alex, you don't have to...

Alex: You've done so much for me today, I wanna help a bit.

Mom: *sigh* Okay, C'mon let's go!

The three of them washed the plates. The work was over in a quick time. Then the two of then went out and sat on the couch in the living room.

Alex: I had a great evening today.

Y/N: Yeah, me too. And there are some people I would like you to meet.

Alex: I would love to meet them. Does that include your girlfriend?

Y/N: Wait, how did you know I had a girlf-

Alex: *gasp* You have a girlfriend!Wow, I just guessed that *laughs* I would love to meet her!

Y/N: Oh wow.... *laughs*

Alex: One of them has to be that guy with the hammer right?

Y/N: Yep, that's Miles.

Dad: Hey! Are you guys having a good time?

Alex: I guess we are!

Y/N saw that his father had a piece of document with him. He showed it to Alex and asked if any details of her were to be changed.

Alex: Everything's okay in this.

Dad: Alright!

Alex: But I'd like to change one thing.

Alex looked at Y/N and gave out a slight smile. Y/N smiled back, seemingly knowing what she was about to do.

Alex: From now on, I want to be known as Alexandra L/N.

Y/N, Dad and Mom had happy expressions on their faces. Alex smiled at them. 

Y/N's mom hugged Alex and it quickly turned into a group hug. It was a great and pleasant moment.

So Alex's first day with the family was great. And there are more good days to come.
