Gwen's POV

Tomorrow is the day. Start of my senior year in school. Gosh, I'm in high school right now. Time flies by too fast.....

I had been transferred to Lewis High. It did seem like a nice school but I'll really miss my old school and my friends.

I was close to my bandmates.... but they had to transfer to another city for their schooling and their parents had settled in the respective cities as well.

So we met up one last time. Exchanged tight hugs. It was sad but we assured each other that we'll meet again one day. I look forward to it.

It was a tiring day, so I was just lying on my bed. Thinking of nothing. My mind was empty, too exhausted to think about anything.

Suddenly my phone buzzes, it was a text from Miles. He's been my best friend since we were like children. I swear, he manages to make me laugh almost everytime. And he got admission in the same school as I. That sounded great.

Miles: Hey Gwen! Wassup

Gwen: Nothing much Miles.... Had an exhausting day.

Miles: Here you go!

Gwen: Oh... This seems mysterious. Lemme see.

Miles: Yeah, it is....

Gwen: WTF Miles! Did you just rickroll me?!

Miles: You have no idea how much I'm laughing right now.

Gwen: Well, this does put a smile on my face.

Miles: Aw, now you gonna be Thanos huh?

Gwen: Hehe yeah.... So how's it going with Rose?

Miles: W-What?!

Gwen: You know......

Miles: No

Gwen: Yes, you do.

Miles: Uhmm.... What?

Gwen: You have a crush on her, you obvious bimbo

Miles: Is it that obvious?

Gwen: Of course, yeah! I definitely feel that she feels the same around you.

Miles: Oh I'm no fun to be with.

Gwen: Imma come there and SLAPP you. Exact opposite. You definitely are the perfect personality, charming and funny guy I've ever met.

Miles: That makes me emotional. That's why we've been besties for like so long. Imma go cry at the corner right now.

Gwen: Lol. Wait a minute.

Miles: Yeah?

Gwen: Tell her.

Miles: Thanks Gwen..... I hope you find a great man for yourself.

Gwen: Ah well.... I Don't know.

Miles: I'm sure you will Gwen. And besides, if your mind's still not fresh, you could go for a ride on your bike to like freshen up.

Gwen: Great idea! Thanks for the talk Miles.

Miles: Anytime. Bye!

Gwen: Bye

I switched off my phone and went outside and got on my bike. Almost no vehicles were seen on the road. Perfect.

I pedalled really fast through the streets. The cool wind blowing on my face, it felt really nice. Then I suddenly saw something.

It seemed like a family was moving in. Well, new neighbors I guess. As I was pedalling, I saw a person who was moving boxes from the truck to his home.

I suddenly slammed the breaks. Phew! almost hit him.

I looked up at the figure. He had E/C eyes and he had H/C hair. And he looked S/C.

He looked at me with annoyance.

Y/N: Hey! Watch where you're going.

Gwen: I'm sorry! I really am. I was like a little distracted.

Y/N: Why would you be distracted while riding a bike?! You blind or something?

Gwen: Dude, I said I'm sorry, what's with you?

Y/N: *sigh* Just go......

Then he walked into his home. Geez, he seemed troubled or something. Then I make my way to home.

Dad wasn't gonna come home right now. So I just cooked up dinner and then ate it.

Tomorrow was the first day. I was both nervous and excited.

Today was the day. I got up, brushed my teeth, had a bath and went downstairs for breakfast.

I saw my dad right there.

Gwen: Hey Dad!

Dad: Hey sweetie, are you ready for today?

Gwen: *sigh* Yeah dad... I am

I hug my dad and leave the house. Then I see Miles walking towards me.

Gwen: Heylo there Miles!

Miles: Hey! So we walking together to school?

Gwen: Yep, let's go.

Miles: Aight

Gwen: By the way, how are things with Rose?

Miles: *blushing* She feels the same way......

Gwen: I knew it! Congrats!

Miles: hehe, thanks I guess.

So me and Miles chit chatted our way to the school. It did seem prestigious enough. We entered and got our locker keys and numbers.

We were busy arranging our things in the locker. Then, I felt a palm on my shoulder. I turned around to see a dude with brown hair.

Gwen: Can I help you?

??: Are you two new to this school?

Miles: Well, yes we are!

??: Would you like to join our group of friends? I'm Peter by the way.

Gwen: Nice to meet you Peter! Yeah, we'll see you and everyone at lunch. Oh I'm Gwen.

Peter: Well Gwen, see you later.

Miles: *shakes Peter's hand* Thanks man

Peter gave us a wide smile and walked away.

Miles: Well, that escalated quickly.....

Gwen: Great start to the day, so far. What's the class for you now?

Miles: English. You?

Gwen: Information Tech for me.

Miles: Swell, so see ya later

With that, Miles went on to his class.

I arrived at my class just on time. Phew! It read Mrs Finn's class. The teacher was new to the school I guess, cause she asked us to introduce ourselves at first.

Then I saw a figure entering the class.

Mrs Finn: You're late.

Y/N: Sorry Mrs Finn, I had a minor setback.

Mrs Finn: No worries, uhmm you can go sit with...... Gwen Stacy. What was your name again?

Y/N: It's Y/N L/N

Mrs Finn: Ok, welcome to the class.

I quickly recognized him. I almost hit him with my bike yesterday. He looked at me and had a shocked face too. Then he quickly turned away from me. Like, he had no expression. Geez.... Is he still mad about yesterday? He looks vaguely attractive tho........ Ah! What am I thinking? Focus Gwen... Focus.

Mrs Finn: So take out your laptops, cause we are gonna play kahoot.

Oh yes, I loved Kahoot. It was simple knowledge. Just pick the correct answer within the limited time.

So we began, and sure enough, it was easy peasy. I took a look at the scoreboard. I was first. And...... Only 5 points different from the 2nd place one.... Who was Y/N

Y/N looked at me and whispered "you're going down". I looked at my laptop with determination. Oh this is about to GO DOWN!

If I answered correctly I would win. The question came up. Easy! I clicked on the answer and smirked at Y/N. Then I rechecked....... Omg no!

The question was different. I didn't read it properly! Y/N had a grin on his face as he clicked the right answer.

Mrs Finn: Well done Y/N.

Y/N just gave off a slight smile.

Y/N: Well played

He stretched out his hand for me to shake. I shook his hand.

Gwen: Thanks, congrats for the win though.

Y/N turned back to face the teacher again. Well, he seems nice, I guess.

Then the bell rang for the next period to start.
