Don't even lie, you HAVE seen that sentence in a Wattpad book before.

It usually happens after main girl and main guy have a fall out, because he is rude to her and his best friend runs along making excuses. He tells main girl that he's just facing rough times, or he isn't like that once you get to know him or something and it's SO ANNOYING!

Whether there is a reason or not, he's being rude. Don't make excuses for him.

I can be quite moody when I'm stressed and I say things I regret, but it's usually to close friends and family. Never to someone I just met.

And though it's a bad quality, some people just have this rude streak. They're mean and make harsh jokes, it doesn't mean they aren't nice at all, but they get mean quickly and it's often not something that magically goes away when they start dating.

Remember...characters don't have to be perfect. They don't always have to be nice and they can be crappy at time. But their friends can definitely NOT make excuses for them every single time.

Maybe if it's a once off thing, but seconds ago he was rude to the queen bee, is buddy boy going to apologize to her too?
