Why is the male characters always the workaholics?

In the stories I've read about people in work environments, the guy is always the one that works a lot and I'll admit that Liam Dalton is like that (he's a character in one of my stories)...but with reason and I have a whole other idea for when I'm done with that.

If I look at the people that study with me, more girls are workaholics than guys. So turn the tables in the stories...

Also, women are so hard up on being feminist and wanting what men have and blah blah blah, so why do girls write stories about men as the CEOs and the women apply for jobs as his personal assistant?

Again, flip the tables. Put her in that CEO seat, nothing is stopping you. Make him the assistant, or the cute guy working at the coffee shop.

How about, instead of the new assistant, make her the new manager. There will be heaps of conflict, because men generally doubt women in leadership roles, it is a man's world (to an extent), so they'll want to see how she handles pressure and if she has what it takes to be in charge...
