Last year my 6th grade teacher did this thing when we were learning about the revolutionary war where she put a tax on a bunch of stuff. (Like going to the bathroom, the nurse, getting some water, and even going out to recess.)
And we had these tickets, and for each tax there was a certain amount of tickets we had to pay. People were LITERALLY posting up posters around the school to try and stop this.
I actually wrote a three pages letter to my teacher explaining why this was cruel and unfair. Basically a "declaration of independence"

And now I realized why she did it.
We felt just like the colonists.
