So I posted on my board about how I finally left a job after 6 long years and how it's been a relief to get away form that toxic place. I have a story to share about my new job...

So I was walked all over at my old job and it seemed like no one cared what I did and was never praised for what I went out of my way to do, but always criticized for every little thing I did wrong. It was miserable and I finally got fed up and left.

After a few weeks at my new job my manager pulled me aside and told me, "I appreciate all the little things you do, don't think it has gone unnoticed. If you keep doing those things and being kind to the customers then you'll always have a job here."

No one at any of my horrible jobs has ever said anything like that to me and it might sound lame but I felt like crying. That's all I ever really needed to hear from any one of my bosses and it made me so happy and accomplished.
