Brad and Lola live in the house. Lola lives with the girl, the one who brought her in. Brad lives in the fridge underneath the stairs.

Lola protects the house. It is her job. Brad should not be there. But Lola does not want him gone. So she lets him stay. Brad does not cause trouble because he wants to stay with Lola.

Brad likes to play the violin. He plays it at night or in the dark. Brad likes dark spaces.

The girl can hear the violin. She is the only one who can hear the violin. She goes to see Brad when he plays it and she listens because she likes the violin. Brad does not like the girl. But he likes Lola, and Lola protects the girl.

Lola does not smile a lot. But when Brad is around, Lola smiles a lot. Lola lives in the attic above the girl. She is lonely often but she must stay with the girl to keep Tyler away. When Lola is lonely Brad keeps her company. Brad likes dark spaces and the attic is dark.

Brad likes the violin, so he plays it for Lola sometimes. Lola does not like the violin but she likes Brad, so she likes it when he plays violin.

Brad gets scared sometimes because he is not supposed to be in the house. Lola will not make him leave, but the girl has water that could hurt him. The girl does not use the water but she could. Lola makes sure Brad feels safe when Brad starts to feel unsafe. The girl will not use the water on Brad and Lola tells him that.

Brad gets hungry sometimes, and he cannot eat the food in the fridge. Lola can get food for him because Lola is welcome. She shares her food with Brad often.

Lola gets sick sometimes when she uses too much energy to keep Tyler away. It is not Brad's job to keep Tyler away but when Lola is sick he does, because she cannot. Tyler does not like Brad, and Brad does not like Tyler, but that is not why he does it. Brad does it for Lola.

Brad does not have many friends but Lola makes him feel better. Brad does not need friends when he has Lola. Lola does not have many friends. Lola feels like having friends does not matter when she is with Brad.

Brad was not supposed to be happy. It is not Lola's job to be happy. But Brad and Lola, together, are happy.
