Part 32
I stared at the ceiling blankly, so much had happened today I dint even know how to feel about it. I had just found out that my best friend, lied to me, conspired against me and even broke me up with my boyfriend.
How was I supposed to deal with that? How was I supposed to deal with losing the only two friends I ever had?
The truth about Tanvi didn't change anything between Arnav and I, he still seemed to be mad at me, deep down I knew he was never going to forgive me, just like how I wasn't ever going to be able to forgive her, so why should Arnav forgive me?
The only difference between her and me was, whatever she did was for selfish reasons, whatever I did was for him, it was for his parents, but anyway it wasn't going to make any difference.
All this while, I had this little hope inside me that maybe one day Arnav would forgive me, but today, if he still dint want me to give an explanation after learning what Tanvi had done, it meant he would never need one.
Today, the little hope that I had died, I knew that this was the end of our friendship and love, he was never going to forgive me, no matter what I did and maybe I just had live knowing that.
I closed my eyes trying to sleep, I still had a job for which I had to wake up early the next morning, but my mind was too occupied to let me sleep.
Have you ever been in a situation where you were so sleepy it was even hard to keep your eyes open but when you close your eyes and try to sleep, you can't because your mind isn't at peace? Yeah, that was happening to me right now.
I just kept tossing and turning from left to right trying to brush off the thoughts and keep my mind blank so I could sleep but only if sleep would come to me.

I walked to my cabin as soon as I arrived at work, gladly Yug hadn't arrived yet, I dint even know if he was going to come to work today or not, hopefully he was feeling better.
I just dint feel like passing by him and feeling all awkward after everything that had happened at his place yesterday.
I settled down and started doing my work immediately hoping it was going to keep me distracted from overthinking about Arnav.
Drowning myself into work did help a bit, but that was until, my phone started ringing and I saw the number flashing on the screen, it belonged to Arnav's mother.
Why was she calling me after ruining my life, my friendship with Arnav and literally breaking us up?
Okay Khushi, you need to calm down, none of this was her fault. She made mistakes which she was trying to correct, if anyone was at fault, it was me, for keeping it from Arnav, so if anyone is to blame then it's me.
"But she asked you to keep it a secret." I said to myself, it was like I was having a battle with my mind the left side was saying one thing and the right side was saying another.
She did ask me to keep it a secret but still it was upon me whether to keep it or not, I made the decisions, I made the mistakes, and I should only blame myself. Why was it hard for me to blame myself?
I tried to calm myself down before I received the call, I inhaled and exhaled a few times and when I felt like I was calm, I received the call.
"Hello." I said.
"Khushi! I am glad you received my call, I didn't think you would." She said.
"What do you want from me now?" I asked.
"Hey, look I get it that you are angry at me, I ruined your friendship with Arnav and I am really sorry but you know I had nothing but good intentions."
"Well yeah, your good intentions cost me a lot." Calm down Khushi, stop with the blame game!
"I am really sorry, look I know what I did and I feel really guilty for it, all I want is to make things better between you and Arnav again. I will talk to him myself, explain everything. Even tell him why you had been talking to me, he would understand." She said.
"So why are you telling me that? Why don't you go talk to him directly?"
"Because I don't know where he is Khushi, just like you don't know. The last time I called you still hadn't found him, I tried to look for him too, called everyone I knew, no one knew where he was. I was hoping you might have found him by now." She said.
"No, I haven't." I replied.
I had already made a mistake once I wasn't making any other mistakes, if she dint find him it was because he dint want to be found, he must have told Yug to lie incase they called to ask him, so I wasn't going to make things worse between us by telling her that I had found him.
"oh... okay keep looking, I am also trying my best, I have no idea where he would have gone." She said sadly.
"Okay."
"I am sorry once again Khushi, I really am. I should have never dragged you into this." She apologized.
"It's okay. Bye." I disconnected the call, right now I seriously dint have the energy to talk to her or anyone else even.
I stared at my computer screen blankly until I was distracted when someone walked into my cabin, I looked towards the door and saw Yug walk in.
"Hey." He smiled.
"Hey, how are you feeling today? Is the fever gone?" I asked.
"Yeah it is, I am all well and back to work." He smiled to which I nodded. After that I expected him to head back to his cabin and get started on his work but he kept on standing there looking nervous and confused.
"Is everything okay Yug?" I asked.
"Yeah... yeah umm... I had something to tell you."
"Then tell me..."
"It's about Arnav... he wanted me to tell you something." Yug looked really uncomfortable, it was kind of scaring me, if he looked so uncomfortable it must be bad news.
"What did he want to tell me?" I asked trying to maintain a straight face and pretend like I was okay when deep down I wanted to break down and start crying already, why was this so scary, I knew something bad was coming, I just dint know how bad.
"He said... don't try to contact him or talk to him, if you come to my place don't try to talk to him or anything just leave him alone, he is tired of running, he doesn't want to run again. He hopes you'll at least do this for him."
"He told you to tell me that?"
"Yeah... yesterday when you left... he came and talked to me, we've been living together for a year now and he had never opened up to me but yesterday he... he told me everything that happened between you two.
He is so hurt Khushi, he was literally crying. He said he has had enough pain in his life he doesn't want to go through more so just... leave him alone okay." Yug said.
"If that's what he wants, fine." I nodded trying really hard to hold back my tears.
Yug turned around to leave, at this point I wasn't even sure if I had lost only Arnav once again or lost this new friendship with Yug that had just began.
"Yug." I called him, he looked at me immediately.
"What about you? After finding out everything and what I did to him... you must think so low of me." I said.
"Actually, I don't. I believe everyone has a reason for whatever they do, maybe you had your reasons. I just don't want to feel trapped between you two Khushi. All this is so overwhelming for me."
"I get it." I nodded.
"I am sorry." He said as he walked out. Yup, once again I was all alone in this new city, just when Yug and I were becoming friends, I lost that friendship too.
Maybe I was cursed, no wonder Arnav left me and Tanvi chose to betray me and now Yug chose to stay away from me. What did I ever do to deserve this?
I dint even know what to do anymore, I had moved to Mumbai to start a fresh life, to move on. How was I supposed to move on when I knew Arnav was here, but I couldn't even talk to him, I had to stay away from him and act like I dint know him because that's what he wanted?
