Hospitalized
The new prison
Is worse than the old one
I'm monitored
Minute by minute
Hour by hour
Day by day
They look at me closely
And make sure I eat
The required hospital meal
Liz
Stop eating
Get out
Anorexia is still there
Still a nagging intruder
In my own head
I thought I'd be only there
For a couple nights
Or something
But they tell me
It'll be at least a month
And I began to cry
One month of proper eating
One month of no weighing
One month of no starving
Friends come visit
People I vaguely remember
Bringing flowers, games and books
Relatives come
With chocolates, I'll never eat
And outdated magazines
Sleep passes time best
So I close my eyes
And just drift into the world of dreams
