" Oh Vanoss can I get this" Jack asked staring at a toy train I chuckled " Go on" I said as he yelled in joy running into the store I walked in as he picked it up smiling and examining it " Are you sure it's not to much" he asked frowning at me.

I kneeled down beside him " I'm sure" I said and he hugged me " Thank you" he said and I patted his back as we walked up and I paid for it, we walked out and he held it in his arms " I'm tired" he said looking down and I chuckled.

I picked him up in my arms and he smiled placing his head on my shoulder " Still want to go to the park" I asked and got a small hum, I chuckled as I carried him through the streets people looked at me weird but I glared at them and they stopped.

Once we got there I sat under a tree watching him run around me and climb it as he giggled it was one that just warmed your heart, I looked around seeing other families and I frowned a little, will I ever be able to have a normal life or let alone a family with what I do.

" What ya thinkin about" he asked hanging upside down from a branch " Adult stuff" I said and he scrunched his nose " Ew" he said and I chuckled " Yeah I know right adults are gross" I said and he giggled pulling himself up.

" Be careful" I said and he waved a hand at me " I'm a pro at this" he said and I kept and eye on him as he climbed higher and higher on the tree he did it like he was born climbing I was shocked but yet impressed he may be better then me at it.

" Hey" I heard him yell and I looked back up to see him falling at me, with in a second I reached my arms up catching him and pulling him to my chest " Don't do that" I whispered and he laughed as I put him down " I knew you would catch me" he said smirking.

" And what if I didn't" I said crossing my arms and raising a brow at him " Then I would have to beat you up" he said and I smirked " Oh and how so" I asked as he smiled running at me, he jumped into my chest and I pretended like he tackled me to the ground.

Even though I made myself fall it still hurt a little, he started to play punch my chest " Oh no stop please sir im sorry" I said acting like I tried to stop him and he laughed pushing my hands away " Sir please" I said again.

He stopped and hugged me I wrapped my arms around him " So had enough yet" he said and I chuckled " Yeah anymore and I might not have been able to walk" I said and he pulled away giggling " Yeah see I'm strong" he said putting his arms on his hips like a superhero would.

" Come on let's get you home before your dad worries" I said chuckling at him and sitting up with him on my lap, I wrapped and arm around him standing up and I set him on his feet " Do we have too" he said in a sad tone looking at the ground.

" Yes you know he doesn't like you out at night" I said and he huffed " But we lived on the streets" he said and I grabbed his hand " Yes but it's different now" I said as we started to walk " Yeah but I'm with you, you won't let anything happen to me" he said.

I looked down at him frowning a bit " Your right but he still has vote over my say" I said " Well will you show me the town at night sometime please" he said and I thought about it for a second " Maybe one day" I said remembering a spot in the hills on a tall tree that you could see the lights cast a glow over the city at.

" EVAN FONG" I heard Henry yell once I opened the doors " OHH your in trouble" Jack said running off and hiding as his dad walked in with fire in his eyes " Yes" I asked nervously " Come here now" he said and I hung my head following him, god he is scary I feel like a fucking kid in trouble right now.

We walked out back and towards the woods " Um why so far" I asked and he just glared at me so I shut up following him as we walked and once we were far away he looked around.

He tossed the blue knife to the ground " Where the fuck did you get this" he growled out and I swallowed " Um" he cut me off " Don't fucking stutter at me explain now" he growled and I saw the fire in his eyes.

" Um well a week ago when I said about those men well I was taking on a group of guys, I killed two then three rushed me I killed on and by the time I turned around and well six of the guys were dead then that knife was chucked past my head and killed the last one" I said in a sad tone as I looked at my feet.

" Do you know who's that is" he said raising his voice, I looked up at him and shook my head " Remember the stories of that murderer that people see and die" he said pausing and my eyes widened " That's his" he said.

" How do you know" I asked " People would talk about seeing a blue knife killing their friends the ones who got away had enough time to describe a knife like this before they were hunted and killed" he said angrily at me " So why havent I died yet" I asked in a scared tone.

He started to pace " I-I don't know" he said now sounding worried before he stopped and looked at me " I told you to be careful" he said with hurt eyes " I was I mean what are the chances of me running into him I didn't see anyone I looked around" I said and he stopped.

" You need to watch yourself and I mean check every damn rock when you go out if this is true I'm not sure what is going on because no one ever lives to tell about him" Henry said hugging me " My boy loves you guys and your like a second son to me I don't want to find your dismembered body" he said and I hugged him back.

" Don't worry I will be alright ok I will watch myself and if anything happens I will lead him away from here far away I will run until I die of exhaustion" I said " If he hasn't killed you yet there has to be a reason and that I am not sure of" he said.

" Maybe because I helped someone didn't you say he hated the rich and helped the poor" I asked and he pulled away raising a brow " Well I did it to save a guy those men were beating on" I said and he frowned " Let's hope that's why your not dead yet" he said.

" We need to get back now but tell no one about this do not ever show this knife to anyone and do not speak of it lie and say you killed those men" he said sternly and I nodded my head picking the knife up " Your playing risky by keeping that thing I would have thrown it into the sea" he said.
