"Okay, I'm in love with you.. So what? That doesn't change that I'm still the girl who's the fat ass bitch who'll never be good enough for you." "You'll go on to be the biggest football player in the fucking world. The name Unique won't even ring a bell." I said, voice trembling with every word. This was something I knew I had to do, so I refused to cry.

"If you really believe that, then you truly are further gone then I thought you were. That was the last time you'll ever push my love away. When you finally realize that I really do want to be with you, it'll already be too late." His voice sounded so defeated but he gave me a smile, one that didn't reach his eyes before grasping my face between his hands and tilting my head back to the he could look into my eyes.

"Smile for me, Queen." And I did. I gave him the smile I knew took his breath away every time, though we both knew it wasn't real. I felt his body quiver as my body molded itself into his body, given the familiar position we were in. My eyes fluttered closed when his lips finally made contact with mine, my body relaxed as I breathed a sigh of relief.

This kiss was different. He was gentle, but too gentle. As if he though I would break. I could feel his love, the hurt, and his desire for me all being pour into this kiss. Lastly I felt his resolve. This was a goodbye kiss. He was kissing me goodbye.

My soul screamed for me to pull him close when he pulled away, but I fought the urge.

"Goodbye Unique." He whispered before pressing a quick kiss to my forehead and waking away.

I watched him walk away and with each step he took I felt myself slowly breaking down.

But this is what's for the best. Right?
