As a massive crack divides up the whole arena, you feel yourself slipping and try to leap to safety. You just fast enough to make it onto one of the halves, but Nixie and Morgan aren't fast enough and you watch them fall into the darkness. Seconds later, their cannons fire. Off into the distance, you hear another cannon.

The ground stops moving, and you, Saffron and Minerva catch your breath. The rest of the day, you try and hunt for the remaining tributes, but the five remaining are either very good at hiding or on the other half of the arena and you don't find them. 

As night falls, you see the dead in the sky- Nixie, Morgan, and a tribute from District Three who must have also fallen into the chasm. 

You set up a fire, and decide to cook to cheer up everyone's spirits.
