Sirius Pov.
Cradling Raven in my arms, I beamed at him, pressing my lips against his and playfully rubbing our noses together. As I pulled back, I locked my gaze onto his. "I want our first time to be truly memorable," I whispered, taking a moment to gather my thoughts while gazing into his eyes. "And?" he prompted softly. "I think it's important we clarify our roles in bed," I continued, my lips forming a teasing pout. He blinked, a look of confusion crossing his face. "I don't get it," he replied, still trying to grasp my meaning. I bit my bottom lip, holding his gaze. "Honestly, I want to be the one on top," I confessed, peering up at him through my lashes. Raven looked down at me, his expression shifting as realization slowly set in.
He leaned closer, a playful glint in his eyes as he licked his lips. With a teasing smirk, he tilted his head, locking his gaze onto mine. "You made that pretty clear during our last encounter," he chuckled, drawing me into a passionate kiss. As our lips met, I tugged at his hips, pulling back slightly. "Are you really sure you're okay with this?" I whispered against his neck. His laughter resonated against my cheek, sending a thrill through me. "Absolutely. It doesn't matter if I'm on top or bottom; I just want to share that intimacy with you, whether you're inside me or I'm inside you. But I have to say, I'd love to make love to you when you're ready," he replied, a warm smile spreading across his face as I kissed him again.
A soft moan escaped Ravens lips as I pulled him into another passionate kiss. My hands glided down his chest, and I playfully hooked my fingers into his belt loops, grinning as I felt his desire mirrored in the hardness pressing against me. With a swift motion, he wrapped his arms around my neck, deepening the kiss and guiding me onto my bed. His eyes sparkled like precious gems, and the scent of earthy pine enveloped me, reminiscent of warm honey—a fragrance I had come to associate with our intimate moments. "Destin," I whispered, locking eyes with him. He responded with a cheeky wink. "Don't keep me waiting too long. Raven hasn't mentioned it, but Professor Ivan warned us that if we don't mate and mark you within the next two months, our bond will fade away," he said, his expression turning serious.
Gazing at him, I swallowed hard, whispering, "soon." I pressed my lips to his, and as he wrapped his arms around my neck, he pulled me onto him, deepening our kiss. His fingers tangled in my hair, sending shivers down my spine as his hand glided down my back. I slipped my hands beneath his shirt, breaking our kiss momentarily. I leaned down, teasing his nipples with my mouth, trailing soft kisses down his chest and further to his stomach. I playfully dipped my tongue into his belly button, feeling a rush of joy as he groaned, his fingers weaving through my hair. As I unbuckled his pants, I planted a kiss just above the waistband, sliding them down his hips, but suddenly he tensed. With a growl, he pushed me away, landing on his bed with a thud, his breath coming in quick gasps as he stared at me. Shocked and confused, I watched as his body began to jerk and spasm. That can't be happening; it only occurs when one is about to experience his first shift. "I'm... so... sorry," he panted, fighting to hold onto himself just as a knock echoed on the door.
I shot up, disregarding the sharp pain in my back, and rushed to the door, flinging it open just as I sensed Professor Ivan's presence. I had taken one of his classes the previous year, all to be in the same class as Raven. Confusion washed over me as I locked eyes with him, and in an instant, I grasped the reason for his visit. I stepped aside, allowing him entry, and he immediately made a beeline for Raven. "You're shifting. Sooner than expected," he remarked, lifting Raven effortlessly. With a growl, Raven pushed him away and clung to me instead. "Stay... with... me..." he grunted, his grip weak yet desperate. "Sorry... Sorry... for pushing you," he whispered, but then his body convulsed, and he collapsed to his knees, howling in agony while clinging to me for support.
"Sirius," Professor Ivan said calmly, his gaze steady as he offered me a gentle smile. "He needs to come with me. If he remains here, he might lash out at you or others. It's not safe, but I promise to take good care of him." He extended his hands reassuringly. I glanced down at Raven, my throat tightening as I prepared to hand him over. But just then, Raven tightened his grip, sinking his teeth into my neck. A jolt of electricity surged through me, knocking the breath from my lungs.
Professor Ivan shouted in frustration, pulling Raven away from me. I collapsed to my knees, struggling to catch my breath as a wave of heat washed over me, followed by a sharp pain that slowly faded into a dull throb. The warmth enveloped me, intensifying with each passing moment. Everything around me blurred, and before I knew it, darkness consumed me as I lost consciousness.
Raven Pov.
Gazing down at Sirius, a wave of panic washed over me as I wrested control from Destin. "RAVEN! RAVEN!" I cried out, my voice echoing as Professor Ivan swept me out of the bedroom. I thrashed against his grip just as the Dean stepped into the dormitory. He offered me a comforting smile, tousling my hair before disappearing inside. "What have I done?" I whimpered, a deep sense of dread settling in. I could feel him—our mate bond pulsing between us. Though a sense of completeness enveloped me, guilt gnawed at my insides; I had marked him against his will, despite our earlier conversation about waiting and doing things the right way. "It's alright, Raven. The Dean will look after Sirius. Right now, you need to focus on shifting. If this goes awry, it could drive you to insanity," he urged as we plunged deeper into the woods.
Clutching his shoulders tightly, I bit my lip and squeezed my eyes shut, channeling all my energy into the bond I shared with Sirius. Waves of heat and desire surged through me, but they were quickly overshadowed by an overwhelming tide of pain—excruciating, relentless pain. I had inflicted this suffering on him. I felt unworthy of love, knowing I had hurt my mate once more. As I shut my eyes, tears streamed down my cheeks, and a dark force began to swell within me. It was a familiar sensation, yet never had it felt so intense; it was as if I were teetering on the brink of Insanity. Gasping for breath, I pushed away from Professor Ivan with a surprising force, collapsing to the ground with a heavy thud. I let out a furious roar at him, watching as he recoiled in shock, his eyes wide with disbelief.
"Raven, you must heed my voice," he said with a calm authority, raising his hands and stepping closer. But darkness was closing in on my vision, and my breaths came in frantic gasps as I felt my bones begin to crack and shift. A primal roar erupted from my throat as I sank to my knees, agony coursing through me. I screamed as the bones in my arms and legs shattered and reformed, my clothes tearing away in the chaos. My spine twisted and elongated, and with another roar, my teeth fell out, replaced by sharp fangs. "RAVEN! YOU HAVE TO LISTEN TO ME OR INSANITY WILL CONSUME YOU!" Professor Ivan's voice boomed, drowning out everything else. I whimpered, feeling my sanity slip away. "You're not just a werewolf; you're a..." My instincts took over, and I lunged at him with blinding speed. Everything was spiraling out of control. I had destroyed any hope of being with my mate, drool dripping from my wolfish jaw as I completed my transformation, rising on my hind legs. The darkness in my chest surged, engulfing my mind completely.
I was lost.
I was going to stop here but I don't want to make the chapter into two parts.
Sirius Pov.
As I opened my eyes, a wave of panic surged through me, and I clutched my chest, struggling to breathe. Something was terribly wrong; my neck felt like it was on fire, and my body radiated heat, each pulse a reminder of the pain coursing through me. I was engulfed in flames. My gaze darted around the room until it locked onto the Dean's eyes. "Sir?" I managed to whisper, my breath hitching in my throat. He looked down at me, offering a comforting smile, but then his expression shifted, darkening as he turned sharply toward the window. I had never witnessed such gravity in him before. T
hen, a chilling sound pierced the air—a roar filled with anguish, sorrow, madness, and a hint of insanity. In that moment, the mark on my neck flared with heat, and I caught a glimpse of it. His mind was shrouded in darkness; he was no longer the man I knew, the man I love. His form was distorted, transcending the ordinary werewolf; he was a Lycan, embodying an unfathomable strength, raw power, and a terrifying insanity.
Gasping as I was yanked from his consciousness, I stumbled out of bed, clutching the Dean's shoulder for support. "How can I save him?" I whispered weakly, desperation lacing my voice. "Please." He looked at me, a small, pitying smile playing on his lips. "You can attempt to bring him back, but once Insanity takes hold, hope fades... the only escape is death." My grip on his shoulder tightened as I gritted my teeth in frustration. Blinking through the pain, I dropped to one knee, transforming into my snake form and bursting through the window, racing toward Raven. He couldn't die; I wouldn't allow it.
Navigating the forest effortlessly, I was drawn back into Raven's mind. He was still locked in combat with Professor Ivan, moving with a stunning grace as he struck the professor repeatedly, who struggled to evade the onslaught. The professor's face was a mask of blood, his clothes torn, and one arm rendered useless. Once again pulled from his body, I sensed the Dean's presence nearby. I glanced around to find him standing at the forest's edge, having erected a barrier around the perimeter. Hissing in frustration, I quickened my pace, slipping into the barrier just as it enveloped the area.
I dashed through the forest, my heart racing, until I burst into a sunlit clearing. There, I spotted the professor and Raven locked in a fierce struggle. I crept along the soft grass, biding my time for the perfect moment to intervene. As I watched their clash, I couldn't help but marvel at the professor's fierce agility. Professor Ivan, though ancient and seasoned by countless battles, was no slouch. His vast experience was evident, but facing a newly awakened Lycan king teetering on the brink of madness was a daunting challenge. The Lycans, once a proud race, had succumbed to their own primal instincts, falling victim to the chaos of unrestrained rage and fury. . .insanity.
With a heavy swallow, I darted forward, using my tail to swiftly shove the professor aside. He collided with the barrier set up by the dean, the impact echoing with a solid thud before he vanished to safety on the other side. Shifting from my serpentine form to my half-snake shape, I rose, my breath coming in quick, shallow gasps. My gaze locked onto him as he let out a ferocious roar, poised to leap at me. I swallowed again, realizing this was not the Raven I once knew; his eyes, once bright and jewel-like, were now an abyssal black. Towering at nine feet in his Lycan form, his face was less covered in fur, and his muzzle was shorter than that of typical werewolves. He lacked whiskers and was frothing at the mouth like a rabid beast. A perfect blend of man and monster, his muscular frame loomed over me, standing on powerful wolf legs, with sharp, blood-dripping claws.
"Raven. Honey?" I pleaded, my hands raised and inching toward him. "Please, I'm right here. I'm with you. Come back to me." My voice trembled as I spoke, but his throat rumbled low, and tension coiled in his muscles before he unleashed a ferocious roar and lunged at me, fangs bared and claws poised to strike. I barely managed to evade his attack, slipping around his massive form in a desperate attempt to restrain him, but my grip faltered as he effortlessly tossed me aside.
Pain surged through me as I crashed to the ground, and I looked up to see blood oozing from a cut on my forehead. My thoughts were muddled, my body unresponsive, as the heat from his mark blazed within me, a dark force swelling in my chest that blurred my vision. In an instant, Raven seized me by the throat, lifting me effortlessly as I dangled, utterly powerless in his grip. He let out a furious roar, his breath scorching against my skin. With trembling fingers, I reached up to stroke his cheek, murmuring, "I love you." He paused for just a heartbeat, but that was all I needed. With swift precision, I struck his neck, sinking my teeth into the side and injecting my venom into his veins. He howled in pain, releasing me as I fell to the ground with a heavy thud. I clutched my throat, looking up at him as he loomed over me, his purple eyes sparkling like rare jewels, tears shimmering in their depths. "I'm sorry," he whispered, his voice barely audible. "I truly am." In that moment, he sank to his knees before me. I immediately wrapped my arms around his neck, breathing in his scent as my body curled around his. "It's okay. I know you didn't mean it, Raven." He held me tightly, pulling me closer still as he sobbed into my shoulder. As we embraced, I noticed the Professor and the Dean standing just behind us, their faces a blend of disbelief and astonishment at the scene that had just unfolded.
Hello. This chapter is long overdue. I hope it was worth the wait. I had some personal stuff come up, that really put a damper on the updates for the chapters. I'll be reposting every Saturday. (Unedited Chapter)
