"Sweet Pea," Uncle Jinnie calls through the door softly.

I don't answer, I continue to lay in bed miserable. Maybe if he thinks I'm still asleep, he will just go away and leave me here to rot.

But like everything lately, it doesn't go how I want. Uncle Jinnie opens the door and comes to sit on the bed.

I press my eyes closed tightly and don't move so he thinks I'm asleep but I hear him laugh as his hand rests on my shoulder pulling me to lie on my back.

"You have a terrible poker face, I know you're awake, Sweet Pea."

My eyelids spring open and Uncle Jinnie is looking down at me with a sad smile. My eyes start to water and he pulls me into his chest rubbing my back as I let it all out.

"I know I'm not Yoongi, but you can tell me anything you need to Sweet Pea," he mumbles against the top of my head and I just hold him tighter.

"Of course, you're not Yoongs! You're my most amazing handsome Jinnie," I gush and I feel him chuckle.

"That's right. So how about you tell your handsome Uncle Jinnie what's wrong?"

"Yoongi is mad at me, I cursed and he slammed the door and left," I say with a small pout.

"Well...Yoongi will get over it. But I don't think that's the real issue here," he pulls away from me and sits back in the bed with his back against the headboard.

I never even noticed that he had brought in a brush and some ponytails until I felt him pull me between his legs and start combing through my hair.

Uncle Jinnie sits quietly, just untangling the mess I caused in my restless sleep. I take a deep breath and let it out trying to steady myself.

"Jinnie, do you think Daddy is happier when I'm not around?"

"Of course not!"— he answers right away —"why would you think that?"

"Well, because," I start and my eyes start crying on their own before I can even explain.

"Daddy doesn't come home anymore or is very late. He doesn't want to see me and then he yelled at me, uncle Jinnie with a voice I've never heard from him. Then I saw him with that new lady he's starting a family with."

Uncle Jinnie starts to laugh and I grow frustrated and scoot away from him. He pulls me back flush against him and I cross my arms upset that he's not taking me seriously.

"It's not funny!" I grumble and I hear him clear his throat.

"No, you're right, it's not funny at all," Uncle Jinnie finishes pulling my hair up into a top knot and then turns me to look at him.

"You're just so much like your mom sometimes," he softly smiles and I can tell he's remembering something she's done.

I only ever know the things Daddy and my uncles tell me. Auntie Dani sometimes will talk about her but it makes her sad so I don't ask her much. Every time someone talks about her I always eagerly listen.

She sounds like a lot of fun and everyone liked her, I wish more than ever that she was here. I bet she wouldn't look for a new family, I would be enough.

"Your mom was one of the most dramatic people I have ever known and that's really saying something because I've known Tae almost his whole life. She always managed to make mountains out of molehills with the way she let her thoughts take over."

I frown clearly understanding he's calling me dramatic but this isn't me being dramatic, it's serious.

"Your daddy would never go and start a new family without you, Sweet Pea. But don't you think he is a little lonely too?"

"No! He has me, I always cuddle with him, and on nights when it's super stormy I sleep with him so he isn't scared," I protest and Jinnie frowns.

"That's not what I mean, I mean daddy wants to have a grown-up to help him take care of you and help him when he needs it."

"I help Daddy! And I'm a good girl, I go to bed on time and I get up nicely. I help wash the dishes now, Jinnie, and I keep my room clean. I promise he doesn't need to get someone else."

Uncle Jinnie sighs and takes my hand pulling me along with him. When we make it downstairs, I see Auntie Joce serving breakfast and the second she sees us she smiles and ushers us over to eat. Uncle Jinnie says no, he has to take me home, and she nods hugging me before she kisses him goodbye.

"Sweet Pea, when we get home I need you to try your hardest to be the good girl I know you are, okay? Your daddy will want to talk and he will explain it better. But he needs someone to be with him the same way I have Auntie Joce and your uncles have your aunties," he says making eye contact with me through the mirror.

"But he has Mom," I point out and Jinnie pouts.

"He doesn't, Arabella, not anymore. That's why he needs someone to be with him."

I refuse to say anything else and the rest of the car ride is quiet. When we make it home, Jinnie stops me outside of the house and wraps me tightly in a hug.

"Whatever happens, Sweet Pea, remember you aren't alone and no one is leaving you behind. Remember to listen closely to what your daddy has to say and if you need some more time, one of us can always come and kidnap you for a little," he ruffles my hair and I smile.

I'm ready to talk to Daddy. I've missed him a lot and maybe if I explain I'll be better and try harder to help, he won't keep that lady around. I let go of Jinnie and he holds my hand as he unlocks the door. I square my shoulders putting on my brave face so I can talk to Daddy.

We walk into the house and I can hear the TV on in the living room, I let go of Jinnie's hand as soon as we walk into the room. Daddy isn't there, instead that lady is sitting quietly on the couch with that boy right beside her.

They are already here in my home. This is where me and Daddy live, they don't need to be here!

"Jungkook!" Jinnie shouts angrily and Daddy comes rushing into the room looking more than a little frazzled.

His eyes meet mine and he looks scared, but I don't care. I turn quickly and rush up to my room. I can hear Jinnie and Daddy arguing downstairs and then I hear my door opening and turn to look at it.

There is the boy that's been with MY Daddy and that lady. He closes the door behind him and shuffles over to the bed where I'm sitting. He waves a little and offers me a wide smile.

"Hey, I'm Crixus," he holds his hand out to me and I stare at it not knowing what my next move should be.
