"She doesn't have a mommy," I hear John say to his mommy.

I do have a mommy!

Mrs. Estrada holds my hand as we walk around the classroom. The other kids all have their mommies and are happily painting their nails or fixing their hair. I try to be brave like daddy told me but I'm still a little sad.

"You can paint my nails," Mrs. Estrada says and sits down beside auntie Dani and Angelica.

"Actually do you mind if she gives us a makeover?"

I quickly turn around and see auntie Lulu with all my other aunties. I don't know what's wrong but I start crying. Auntie Jamie rushes over and crouches in front of me while the others crowd around me.

"Why are you crying, Bean? Do you not want us here?" she asks softly.

I shake my head and I see my other aunties frown, "I'm just very happy."

They all give me a hug and help me dry my tears. Angelica helps me brush auntie Lulu's and auntie Jamie's hair and then auntie Vanessa does my make-up while auntie Lilly does Angelica's. Auntie Dani paints nails with auntie Joce.

We all take pictures after together and I forget all about being sad. Until it's time for everyone to leave, I don't want them to go and instantly start crying when I see my friends going home early with their mommies.

I cling to auntie Lulu and she looks at the others.

"Let me call, Jungkook," auntie Joce says and steps out of the classroom.

"Don't cry, Little One, we will get it all sorted," auntie Lilly says wiping my tears and giving me a smile.

"Alright, it's settled, he said we could take her with us," auntie Joce says.

"Really!?" I say excitedly and she nods her head at me.

"I know where we can go," auntie Dani says as we all walk out of the school.

"That new place over on Mesa?" auntie Jamie asks.

"Yes!"

"I need to go get Emma from daycare."

"I need to go get Ollie too," Auntie Vanessa says and I instantly grab onto her hand.

"Can I go too?!"

"Sure, Honey, let me just get your extra car seat from Dani," She says taking my hand.

The grown-ups spend a lot of time talking but when I'm finally strapped in and we head to daycare I grow more excited.

"BELLS!" Ollie shouts as soon as we walk into his classroom.

We rush to each other and hug while auntie Vanessa talks to Ollie's teacher.

"Guess what Ollie, we are going somewhere special!"

"Where?"

"It's a surprise!" I say taking his hand.

"Alright, let's get your backpack, Ollie."

"I'll do it!" I say and rush to his cubby, taking the bag off the hook and helping him put it on.

The drive is long but we finally get to a big fancy building. When we go inside, the other aunties are waiting for us.

"What are we having here, Mommy?" Angelica asks.

"Tea and snacks," auntie Jamie says happily.

The food guy comes over and sets a big silver tower in the middle of the table. There are so many goodies on it! Little sandwiches, cookies, muffins, and fruit.

The aunties make us all plates and pass us tea in small cups just like princesses have. I'm allowed to have anything I want, they said, and auntie Jamie kept passing me different bites of cake that were all super yummy.

They all talk while me and Angelica get a hold of the cookies. I share with Ollie since he can't reach them. My tummy starts to hurt after my fourth cookie.

"You ok?" Ollie asks patting my back as I lay on the table.

"My tummy hurts," I whine. "I need Daddy."

"Mommy, Bells sick!" Ollie alerts his mommy and she quickly turns to look at me.

"She probably just ate too many sweets," I hear a comforting voice from behind me.

"Daddy!" I run up to him and he picks me up like he always does.

"Hi baby, ready to go?" he says while I snuggle close relaxing, my bellyache already going away.

Daddy always makes things better.

He doesn't put me down as he grabs my stuff and says bye to my aunties. They all give me kisses and Daddy reminds me to say thank you for everything.

Daddy puts me in my car seat and I ask for my backpack so I can show him what I made for mommy. He's very proud of my flower pot with me and mommy's picture on it, he says it's the best art he's ever seen.

We get to go see mommy again today and when daddy takes me to her pretty stone, he sits down crisscross applesauce in front of it.

"Hey Babe, look what our little girl made for you," he smiles and motions for me to pull out my present from behind my back.

"Daddy, she can't see it from here," I whisper so Mommy can't hear me. He laughs and pulls me closer to her stone.

"Sure she can, little baby."

I think about what he said before, that mommy is always watching me so I quickly pull out the flower pot and put it beside her stone.

"It's us! But I'm a baby, but that's okay. Mrs. Estrada said it was a wonderful picture and you know what else Mommy? Daddy said it was an extra special picture cause it was the first time you took me home!"

I look at Daddy and he nods his head in agreement and I go and sit on his lap. He hugs me tight and I rest against him. Daddy stays talking to Mommy and my eyes get sleepy even though I'm not tired.

"Say bye to Mommy," Daddy says standing with me in his arms.

"Bye Mommy, I love you," I wave at her stone and Daddy carries me all the way back to the car.

He even remembered to bring Floppy Bunny, handing him to me as he straps me into my car seat.

"Daddy..."

"Yes, baby?"

"Do you think Mommy liked her present?"

"I think it's her most favorite gift she's ever gotten."

I nod and my eyes get droopy.
