Boys Go To Jupiter
"No, Oliver. I'm two digits now which means I'm grown and know what I'm doing," I huff out as I pass him the paper and pencil.
"I don't think Uncle Yoongi is going to go for it," he says doubtfully placing them on the table.
"Just write what I say," I dictate walking back and forth.
"Dear Yoongs, I regret to inform you that we have missed our means of public transportation, I know you—"
"Bells, I can't spell that word," Ollie says embarrassed.
"Try your best, honey," I say squeezing his cheek and he turns even redder looking down at the paper.
"I know you must be on a rollercoaster of emotions right now, but rest assured, we have decided to stay home. This was a tough decision for us to make while you were gone for 20 minutes. We are probably in my room moping about the fact that we can't go to school."
"Bells, slow down you're talking too fast! And why are you using so many big words?!" Ollie groans as he tries to scribble them on the paper.
"Because, Oliver, it has to sound professional or Yoongs will never go for it."
"I think Uncle Nam should stop tutoring you."
"Nonsense! Uncle Joonie's tutoring is what's helping us right now Oliver."
"Why do you keep calling me Oliver?" he pouts and I sigh annoyed.
"Because, Oliver, we aren't children anymore. Stop calling me Bells and call me Ara now."
"I don't want to," he argues and I roll my eyes before telling him to finish the letter.
"Where was I again?" I question ignoring him as he glares at me.
"Oh, okay so...Please don't interrupt us. If you require any further assistance, please see the pros and cons chart on the back side."
Ollie finishes the letter and flips the page. I take the pencil and draw a perfectly straight line down the middle, writing pros on one side and cons on the other. I hand the pencil back and he patiently waits for me to tell him what to write.
"Hmm," I say tapping my chin.
"Pros. First day home this year. Grades will be fine. Today was gonna be a bad one. Can't get over my hair."
"Your hair looks great, Bells," Ollie compliments, and I shoot him a glare.
"Ara," he says fixing his mistake.
"Anyway, cons. Might become a habit but it's doubtful. You have to call the school and tell them we've got polio."
"What's polio?"
"Honestly, Oliver, what do you learn in school?" I say exasperated.
"I'm not a baby, Bel...Ara. Stop treating me like one," he grumbles handing me the paper.
"Okay, honey," I tease and pat the top of his head.
I run to the dining room and leave our note on the table and rush back into my room, locking the door.
"I still think we should just call my Dad," Ollie says laying back on my bed.
"Nah, this will work, trust me," I say flopping down beside him with my tablet so we can watch YouTube.

"No way! That didn't really work, did it?" Henry says shocked at what me and Ollie managed to pull off today.
His face makes me laugh because he looks just like Uncle Hobi did when he dropped Uncle Jin's cake.
"MY dad says Uncle Yoongi is just too soft now that Auntie Jamie is going to have her baby," Justin says with his annoying windshield wiper laugh he got from his dad.
"That's not true," I scowl getting ready to defend Yoongs honor against the two boys, but I feel Angelica grab my arm and I hold my tongue.
The two boys snicker and suggest me and Angelica go play with Emma and Penny in the kiddie playground and I can feel my blood boiling.
I have no idea how Justin can be related to Uncle Jinnie and Penny, they are always so nice whereas Justin seems to have crawled right out of Satan's butthole.
"Leave her alone, guys," Ollie says and his face blushes instantly.
I can't help but smile at how cute he is.
"Thank you, Oliver."
"OOOO! Ollie likes Bells," Henry and Justin tease, and Ollie grows shy.
"I don't," he mumbles keeping his head down.
"Sure you don't," Justin snickers and I see Ollie clench his hands at his sides.
"Why would I like someone like her? She's a gross, bossy, and ugly girl!" Ollie shouts and I recoil.
Ollie and I have been best friends since diapers and this is the first time I've ever heard him talk or yell like this.
The boys are laughing obnoxiously and I'm more than embarrassed at what he's just said.
"Well, you're just a little baby! Plus I already like someone else!" I shout back.
The boys and Angelica all gasp and wait as Ollie and I have a stare down. He backs down first turning to the guys.
"Let's go and leave these dumb girls to do their gross girlie things together."
He walks away and I instantly feel bad. I don't think he's a baby. I was just angry and now we are fighting...

"What's wrong, little baby?" Daddy asks as he places my plate on the table.
"Nothing," I huff out as I push around the pasta he's made.
"Uncle Yoongi showed me the letter you and Ollie wrote this morning," he says laughing and then quickly puts on his serious face.
"You know, you can't do that again."
"I know, Daddy," I sigh out continuing to pick at my food.
"Soo, Uncle TaeTae was telling me that you and Ollie got into an argument today."
I groan, annoyed that nothing is ever secret with my big family.
"It's fine," I say putting on a brave face.
"You could just apologize, little baby, and it would get better," Daddy says with a small smile.
"I have nothing to apologize for! HE insulted me, Daddy!" I argue and push my plate away from me.
"Baby."
"I'm not a baby anymore, Daddy! STOP!" I shout and he looks at me with wide eyes.
I rush out of the dining room and head to my room, slamming my door and throwing myself on my bed. I don't know how long I'm held up in my room, but I could hear Daddy washing the dishes and now it's got too quiet. I softly open my door and hear him on the phone.
"Don't you think it's a little too early for that, Vi?"
Daddy is pacing the hallway and I hear him sigh.
"She's still my baby, I'm just not ready for her to grow up. Yeah. Yeah, okay, I'll try that," he hangs up the phone and I quickly close my door and rush back to my bed.
I hear him walk up the stairs and he steps on the squeaky step, letting me know he's close. He knocks on my door and lets himself in. I feel terrible.
"Bells, Baby, uh..." he says nervously as he sits down next to me.
"Daddy."
He hums in response.
"I don't want to go to Uncle TaeTae's this weekend," I say leaning on his shoulder.
"Why not? You love hanging out with Ollie," he asks confused.
"We aren't friends anymore. He told everyone I was gross, bossy, and ugly," I say trying to keep my tears in but when Daddy pulls me close I can't stop them.
"Oh, little baby. You know he probably didn't mean it."
"NO! He did, Daddy. He said it and then they all left and didn't let me and Angelica play with them," I explain the whole situation and Daddy listens carefully before saying he will talk to Uncle TaeTae.
He agrees and tells me I don't have to go this weekend but I should apologize too when I'm ready to talk to Ollie.
But...
Weeks pass and the boys get worse, they keep refusing to play or talk to me and Angelica. I stopped going to Uncle TaeTae's and me and Ollie haven't talked since. On Thursdays, Yoongs stays home with me and that's my new normal.
