Chapter 35: You wanna hear any of the gossip from school?

Hannah:

I get to go home today, no school for at least two months for physical therapy. I'm gonna miss being in the hospital, the doctors and nurses were really nice but the white walls were blinding and hospital food is so dry. Linda, Eddie and Max will be helping me by bringing my homework from school. I still can't over the fact that Max kissed me and confessed his feelings. I have to brush that under the rug and move on. When Linda and Eddie visited me, we just talked about random things like Glee and the movie Frozen.

As I got home, dad propped my leg up with a pillow under it. I'm prescribed to take two painkillers a day to suppress the pain and mom just brought me food: tomato soup, grilled cheese sandwich and pudding cup. Only soft food for now until I get better. While finishing my pudding, I heard a knock on my bedroom door, it opened revealing mom and Linda. "Hey girlie," she grinned and I smiled, saying hi too. Mom told her that she only had to stay for forty minutes because of the painkillers and I needed to sleep soon; she nodded then mom left. "I got your homework from History, it's just one sheet so you'll be fine." She handed me the paper and I took it, examining that it's only ten questions about Napoleon Bonaparte. I can do that. She asked "How are you?"

"I'm doing good thanks. How are you?"

"Good that you're good. You wanna hear any of the gossip from school?" She asked, sitting on the edge of the bed.

"Do I want to?" I raised my eyebrows at her. I hated hearing about gossip and rumors because it's always farfetched and straight up crap.

"Well I heard that Seth broke up with Lucy since the incident and is dating a new girl."

"What girl?"

"I don't know her but she's pretty. Blonde, green eyes all the typical stuff."

"Oh."

"Lucy's scoping out for a new guy but not a lot of boys are interested. Most of the school hate her now. Yay! Uh, Max left the group. Have you talked to him since he kissed you?"

"No." During their hospital visit I informed Linda what happened between me and Max, the entire time her jaw was dropped and she squealed in shock.

"Are you thinking about dating him?"

"No, it's strictly platonic. What about Louis, have you seen him?" I asked.

"He hasn't been in school for a while so I don't know."

"What else?"

"Me and Eddie had sex in the janitor's closet finally."

"Why are you telling me this? TMI!"

"You're my best friend and it's our fantasy spot," she said in a duh voice, I grimaced. "Speaking of sex, have you and Charlie ever?"

"No."

"Really?"

"I wanted to but he said we should wait."

"Wow."

"Yeah. Has he been in school?"

"Not as much, but Lucy's always asking him out and he rejects her."

"Ugh, she's such a leech."

"Right?! Anyway, oh yeah there's a rumor going around that there's a student/teacher relationship."

"I don't buy that."

"It's also saying that it's Ally." I raised my eyebrows in surprise, that can't be true. She's so in love with Austin.

"Austin's Ally? No way, I call foul play. Someone's just trying to start something to break them up."

"I don't know, people are saying that she and he are barely a couple anymore. She's always saying that she's studying."

"So? We all have to study."

"I don't know." She shrugged. I'm not friends with Ally or Austin but rumors can ruin a person's life.

"Is that all?"

"Pretty much, I'll tell more tomorrow."

I nodded and asked "you want to watch TV before you go?" She agreed. We watched the last twenty minutes of 'Big Bang Theory', it started to get dark and I was falling asleep. She noticed, began leaving my room and told me she'll see me tomorrow. My eyes shut for bed.
