Chapter 2: We Need to Make an Effort
Chapter 2: We Need to Make an Effort
Hannah:
Seth ditched our group for the popular group. The next day was initiation to pick someone new for their group, announcing it during lunch and picking three people, including Seth.
The initiation: clog the toilets and egg a teacher's car without getting caught.
Seth is sneaky like a ninja and did them all. I thought he would stand his ground for himself but I guess he was sick of being bullied. Like I said before, he's a coward. He stands there and laughs with them while they poke fun, ignoring us. And get this: he's dating Lucy! I mean seriously. Cue in the disbelief laughter.
She finally saw how cute he is, duh but she started the rumor about him. The bullying was the usual: mud in my locker, Linda had her gym clothes stolen, gum and glue at the ends of my hair and someone thought it would be funny to put cheese in Edward's spaghetti during lunch time. He's lactose intolerant so it was not a pretty site when he practically shit his pants.
Charlie couldn't do much, only giving small sad smiles.
During the school days, he would walk by saying no words. The only bliss is the fake notes he makes to excuse me so we could make out in secret locations at school.
I couldn't go to his house, because his friends were always there. We finally found an abandoned shack that is perfect for us to meet up, talk and kiss.
Meet ups are rare, he's always hanging out with his friends.
I feel sometimes he's getting tired of me, but he told me that he likes spending time with me.
I'm not trying to sound clingy or anything but I just want more alone time with him. I barely call him, texting at least twice a day. I have my activities and he has his, but we need to make an effort to see each other.

Walking into the doors of the school, the first thing I see is the Principal picking his teeth.
"Morning Principal Chambers," I chimed at him and he smiled with a nod and walked away. Walking through the hallway, looking for my friends but they're nowhere in sight.
Opening my locker for my journal, closing it I see brown eyes and wild hair in front of me.
"Hey girly," Linda said cheerfully and looped her arm around me.
"Hey girly," I responded back.
"So, first week of junior year and no bruises," she joked, lifting the sleeves of her shirt.
"No bruises." I laughed, bumping her shoulder with mine. The talk of the populars we see them in the corner, Seth with his arm around Lucy's shoulder. I shook my head disappointed, spotting
Charlie next to Max chatting.
He glanced at me, making eye contact but he looked away quickly. I wonder what he's thinking.
"You excited for the rest of the year?" she said, breaking my stare at him and I nodded. Despite my doubts, I think things will be okay.
Charlie:
I just want to at least grab her face and kiss her all day whenever I see her, taking my breath away, but I can't. We made a promise, I'm not that kind of person to break that and neither is she.
Max was telling me something but I completely zoned out when I noticed Hannah turning the hallway with her friend.
"Charles, what are you looking at?" Max said while poking my shoulder.
"Principal Chambers is picking his teeth again," saying amused and pointing to him. They turn their attention to him, laughing loudly and ridiculing.
His habit is kind of funny though. My mind goes to Hannah again, the way her hair falls to her back when she takes off her ponytail. That cute way she giggles, the way her eyes glisten whenever she speaks of somthing she's passionate about. It would have been so much easier to ask her, holding hands or whatever it is that couples do out in the open.
Maybe a little note can excuse her from class today.
