Chapter 11: Spongebob is still great

Hannah:

Monday morning I made my way to my locker to get my books for class, spotting Linda and Edward coming towards me from my peripheral vision. "What's up." she said in a sing song voice.

"Hey. Hey Eddie. I see you guys made up," I gestured to both of them.

"Yeah we did, on Sunday. She apologized in the best way." He gave a secretive smile and I frowned confused at his response but I understood and nodded in disgust. Linda has been sexually active with Edward for a while now but they did everything but intercouse. She told me, in detail, when it happened the first time in tenth grade when she went down on him, I protested to not hear anymore but she continued.

"It was surprising," Linda started with a lustful grin on her face.

"I get it! You're back and in love, yay!" I screamed and rolled my eyes, closing my locker when I got my books.

"Oh Hannah, don't be jelly. You will find a guy soon to make kissy faces with," she said in a baby voice and then began giving little kisses to Edward. If only the guy I'm with would want to do that with me.

"Have you talked to Louis?" Linda asked.

"No," I answered.

"Why?"

"I really didn't talk to anyone, with my parents leaving I think I was in sort of a funk the rest of the weekend." I explained. After Charlie leaving my house we talked all Sunday morning, I read and watched TV for the rest of the day.

"Well get out of your funk because here he comes," she pointed to my right of the locker, Louis coming towards us. He's wearing a plain blue long sleeve shirt and black pants; I couldn't help but check him out a little. I gave a small grin as he approached me, "Hi," he said.

"Hi," I said a bit swooning.

"Well, we'll leave you guys to it. See ya in class Han," Linda said, giving me a thumbs up for luck and then dragging Ed by the arm with her. I glared at her back for her leaving me. He opened his mouth to say something but the bell rings.

"We better get to class, wouldn't want to be late," I told him with a shrug.

"Yeah, maybe I'll see you after school." With a disappointed expression but I patted his shoulder for assurance and left his side. Making my way to first period, which is Chemistry.

School ended, no sign of Charlie today but whatever. I couldn't wait to get home and watch reruns of 'Spongebob' from this boring day. Yes, I know it's a child show but Spongebob is still great. Closing my locker as I got my history and chemistry book for homework, I felt someone nudged my shoulder. "Hey," Louis said beside me.

"Hi. How was your day?" Such a lame question, I mentally scolded myself.

"It was ok. I met some new people in my classes and at lunch."

"That's good. I'm glad you're getting along here." He nodded and continued to walk side by side in the hallway full of kids.

"Listen, are you doing anything right now?" He asked me.

"Does watching a yellow sponge running underwater count?" I joked and he chuckled. His laughter is sweet like music.

"I was wondering if you wanted to go get a hot dog or ice cream with me." That does sound tempting and I could use some time wasting from doing my homework. Yeah, I could do that.

"Yeah I would-"

"Well, well, well. What do we have here? Dorks in love." The most annoying, smug voice ever to interrupt us: Lucy.
