They Didn't Want You, Jungkook.

"So everyone knows what they have to do today?" Jin asked the others.

The rest of them, aside from him and Jungkook, were getting ready for some pre-debut photoshoots. The dorm was small and the members didn't have much money yet, so they were all sharing their clothes to wear as they got ready.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah," Yoongi groaned. He didn't really feel like working today, he wanted to go with Jin and Jungkook to the fair. They all did.

"This sucks," Namjoon whined, "Why do you two get to have all the fun?"

"We already did our photoshoots, hyung!" Jungkook boasted, sticking his tongue out at his leader to tease him. Namjoon threw a shoe at the maknae as they both laughed. Although they hadn't debuted yet, they had already been living and training together for two years so they were all already very close. They always got a kick out of teasing eachother.

Jin had planned on going to the fair to meet up with his two friends, Hiro and Shiyuk, and Jungkook insisted that Jin took him too. "You can't just leave me behind," Jungkook had protested. He didn't want to be home alone so Jin said he could tag along. The oldest didn't really trust Jungkook to be home alone anyway, at 15, he was prone to accidentally breaking stuff around the dorm. The members always joked that they didn't know who was worse, him or Namjoon.

Everyone was ready to head out and go their separate ways. Jin said he wasn't sure when they'd be home, but if it was really late that the others could order takeout. Jin was the main cook of the house and didn't like people touching his cooking utensils.

"What if you're not home yet, and I don't want takeout?" Hobi asked.

"Then starve," Jin replied. He and Hobi looked at eachother for a moment before they both started laughing and hugged goodbye.

"I want to go with Jungkook," Taehyung pouted as he grabbed the maknae's hand.

"You have to work," Jin said sympathetically. He looked around and felt bad that the others weren't able to come. "I promise that on a day we're all free, I'll bring us all to the amusement park or something. Yeah?"

This got a cheer out of the rest of them. They were all so happy that they had the best hyung ever. Everyone hugged goodbye and headed out. Jungkook hopped in the car with Jin.

"Who are we meeting there again?" Jungkook asked.

"My friends Hiro and Shiyuk, remember them? They've gone out to dinner with us before," Jin replied.

"Oh yeah, I remember them. They were nice." Jungkook remembered being dragged out to dinner with Jin and a few of his friends before. They seemed like cool guys. Jin told him that they'd all been friends since they were teenagers. The maknae thought it was cool that Jin still talked to people he was friends with before they started doing their band trainings. Not all of them did.

"Do they know I'm coming with you? Do they remember me?" Jungkook asked.

"Of course they remember you, I talk to them about all of the members all the time. And yes they know you're coming."

Jungkook nodded. As long as nobody felt like he was being a burden he was happy. He never meant to intrude on their plans but he also really didn't like being in the dorm alone, and really enjoyed fairs. He hadn't had the chance to go to one in two years now.

When they got there the place was packed. The fair they were going to was an annual event which attracted tens of thousands of people. Jungkook hopped out of the car and immediately went to run for the entrance but Jin grabbed his wrist.

"Don't you dare think you're running off alone in a place like this. You stay with hyung," Jin said sternly. Jungkook nodded. If they got separated it would have been chaos because Jungkook didn't have a cell phone yet, the company was still too broke. Jin was planning to buy him one for Christmas but that was in two months.

Hiro and Shiyuk quickly found them in the parking lot and they all greeted eachother before heading for the entrance.

There was a lot to do. There were stage shows, rides, games, a million food vendors, shops, musicians, and more. Jin asked Jungkook what he wanted to do first and he had no idea. "Whatever you want to do," Jungkook told Jin. The oldest suggested rides, he knew his maknae loved the rides.

After the rides they went around to shops and got something to eat. The four of them were getting along great. Hiro and Shiyuk were surprised with how well Jungkook was behaving and how well he listened to Jin. He was also being super helpful in any way he could.

When Jin and Jungkook were going up and getting food for everyone, Hiro turned to Shiyuk, "You know, I've always wanted my own kid around. I've never had a little brother. Always wanted one though. Someone to teach stuff to, someone to look up to me. Someone to help me out. Someone to give advice to."

"Well a bit late for that. Your parents aren't having any more kids," Shiyuk chuckled.

Hiro looked back towards Jungkook, "Well, they don't need to. Jungkook would be the perfect little brother." He continued to watch as Jungkook and Jin started laughing about something together.

Shiyuk looked at Jungkook and Jin too, "Yeah, but he's Jin's. And the rest of 'ems. He's got like six hyungs already. He doesn't need more."

"He doesn't need all of them. I can be his one and only hyung," Hiro replied.

Shiyuk turned to him, "Jin isn't going to give him to you. He won't even let the boy walk around without holding his hand thinking he'll get lost."

"Who said anything about asking for him?" Hiro smiled.

Shiyuk paused, "You mean like...just taking him?"

"Yeah, and I'll need your help. I know Jin isn't going to just give him up. Also, I don't need Jin knowing I took him either." Hiro took out his wallet and slipped a huge amount of money to Shiyuk under the table, "Help me out?"

Shiyuk hesitated, "You're asking me to help you kidnap our friends little brother? I don't know about all that. Jin is our friend. And Jungkook is a smart kid, he's going to know what's going on if you try to take him. Plus there's a ton of people around. How would you even take him without someone noticing?"

Hiro handed Shiyuk another hefty amount of money under the table, "I have a plan. You just have to go with it."

Shiyuk realized the amount of money he was being offered and decided he could really use the cash. He told Hiro to count him in. They killed the conversation when Jin and Jungkook arrived back at the table with everyone's food. They talked as though everything was normal while they ate.

After lunch, there were a few rides Jungkook wanted to go on but they had avoided them because of the long wait times. However with the day coming to an end Jin agreed to wait with Jungkook in at least one of the long lines. Hiro and Shiyuk had been texting eachother the plan without Jin or Jungkook noticing anything out of the ordinary. While they were all in line for a ride, Shiyuk suddenly started acting like he wasn't feeling well.

"It must have been what we ate, I think I'm going to go sit in the car," Shiyuk told everyone. Hiro offered to drive him home but Shiyuk said no, he'd be fine waiting in the car. He winked at Hiro before leaving.

"I guess it's just us then," Jin pouted. He felt bad that his friend wasn't feeling well. After already waiting in line for half an hour, and having a long wait left for the ride, Jungkook started to wiggle. He tugged on Jin's shirt, "Hyung I have to pee."

"Can you hold it? I am not getting back in this line if we get out," Jin said harshly.

"I can try," Jungkook pouted. After another ten minutes Jungkook realized he couldn't.

"If we go then we aren't doing this ride," Jin told the maknae. Hiro saw this as the perfect opportunity. It wasn't part of the original plan but it would definitely make it easier.

"If you want to hold our spots in line, I don't mind taking him," Hiro told Jin.

"Yeah! He can take me!" Jungkook said happily. Jin said okay but told them to hurry up. Jungkook sprinted towards the bathroom. "And don't let him wander. Come right back here," Jin told Hiro. Hiro gave Jin a thumbs up as he ran after Jungkook. He waited outside the bathroom for him and when Jungkook came back out the maknae thanked him.

"Now we better get back to hyung before he gets to go on the ride without us!" Jungkook chuckled. Hiro grabbed his shirt to stop him, "Actually. I have to grab something from the car really quick before we go back. I also should check on Shiyuk."

"Oh. Okay, but what if we miss the ride?" Jungkook pouted.

"The line is long enough, we have time."

Jungkook shrugged and followed Hiro out to the car that Shiyuk had been waiting in. As soon as they got to the car, Hiro pretended to answer a phone call from Jin.

"Yeah, yeah I have him." Hiro looked at Jungkook while continuing to talk into his phone, "Oh, you left? You sure you want me to tell him that? Keep him with me? Okay, yeah, sure. Yeah I know what the plan was."

Hiro hung up the phone. Jungkook looked at Hiro nervously, "What was hyung saying? Is he mad we aren't back in line yet? What plan?"

Hiro grabbed Jungkook's shoulder and sighed, "Look, kiddo. Jin isn't very happy with you. All of this was actually just one last thing he wanted to do before parting. He wanted me and Shiyuk here to take you. Get you out of his hair. He didn't want to say goodbye, even. He just called to make sure we had you so he could get going. He left a few minutes ago. You're coming home with us."

Jungkook backed out of Hiro's grip, "What? That doesn't make sense. Hyungie wouldn't do that."

Shiyuk shot Hiro a concerned look from the car. The man knew Jungkook would question it but trusted Hiro to take the lead.

"He would, kid. I can't believe he didn't talk to you about his plan first. He doesn't want you anymore Jungkook. In fact, by the sounds of it, none of those hyungs you live with want you anymore. Sounds like they've been waiting to get rid of you for a while now. "

Jungkook started crying, "Can I call him? Maybe if I could just talk to him.." he gestured to Hiro's phone.

"No can do. He said he doesn't want to ever see or talk to you ever again. Told me to take you and just get out of here. He's long gone." Hiro gestured for Jungkook to sit in the back of the car. Jungkook had started crying so hard that he was exhausted and without questioning it sat in the back seat. Hiro told them to wait there while he went and grabbed something he accidentally left behind in the bathrooms. Jungkook didn't reply, he sat there with his face curled up in his knees as he sobbed. Shiyuk kept quiet.

Hyungies don't want me anymore? Why? What did I do? Why would Jin do this?

Hiro ran back to Jin in line, panting like a dog from sprinting. Jin instantly panicked, "Where is Jungkook?!"

"He...he disappeared! Damn kid took off on me when I wasn't looking or something! I was waiting for him outside the bathrooms and figured he was taking a while. I went in to check and he wasn't in there anywhere!" Hiro was out of breath. He was putting on a good show.

"You lost him?!" Jin screamed as he felt his heart begin to race.

"I didn't lose him! He ran away or something!" Hiro protested. Jin jumped out of line in a panic and ran to the bathrooms. He started screaming for Jungkook in the middle of everyone. He pulled up a photo of Jungkook and started asking people if they'd seen his dongsaeng but everyone said no. Hiro pretended to help search. Jin was having a panic attack and sobbing as he ran around looking. He didn't understand. Jungkook would never just run away on his own in a place like that. He had a lot of respect for Jin and knew he wasn't allowed to do that.

"What if someone took him?!" Jin screamed at Hiro.

Hiro insisted that nobody would do that.

"You don't know that! He wouldn't just run away!" Jin cried. Jin ran to security officers he found and told them Jungkook was missing. Hiro realized he needed to get Jungkook out of there before police showed up and searched cars or something. Hiro told Jin he was really sorry but Shiyuk was feeling really sick and they needed to get going. As panicked as Jin was, he understood. They said goodbye and Hiro wished him luck finding his maknae. Hiro ran back out to the car. He hopped in and as soon as he did Shiyuk started driving.

Jungkook started screaming, "I don't want to go with you! I want to go home! I want Jin!"

"Well Jin doesn't want you! He asked me specifically to take you off his hands and take care of you. Said he already talked to the members about it and told them to not say anything to you before taking you to the fair today," Hiro replied.

"Please let me call him," Jungkook begged. If I can just talk to him and tell him I'm sorry for whatever he's angry about. Apologize to him, then maybe they'll all want me back. Jungkook couldn't wrap his head around it. They were having such a good day. He was being such a good maknae. He and Jin had been laughing. Jin wouldn't even let him walk around alone. How could he have possibly been planning to pawn Jungkook off to someone else to take and never see again? He thought about his other hyungs. Had they really all agreed to this? He remembered Taehyung saying he wanted to come to the fair with him. Was it because Taehyung knew it'd be the last time they'd see eachother?

"I told you, he doesn't want to talk to you. He told me to take you and leave. Wants nothing to do with you." Hiro turned to face Jungkook who was still curled up crying in the backseat, "I even tried asking him how he could do something like this to his own little brother, someone he loves. He told me he doesn't love you. Told me none of them in that house ever really did. They actually couldn't wait to not have to deal with you anymore."

Jungkook felt his heart drop out of his chest and land in the pit of his stomach. He couldn't think of words to say. His heart was too broken and his sobs were too loud. All he could do was cry and wonder what he had done wrong. Wonder how his hyungs could give him up. Wonder how they managed to truly convince him they cared about him. They were good liars. And why would Jin want Hiro and Shikyuk to take me? Are they the only ones he knew that would do this for him? And what about the band? BTS? Did the company know, or would hyungs tell them later that they got rid of me? Am I not in the band now either?

As they continued to drive, some police cars were speeding by headed back towards the fair.

Jungkook thought nothing of it.

They arrived at Hiro's house a while later and Jungkook followed the two inside. Hiro gestured to a spare bedroom, "This will be your new room. It's a bit blank now, but we can spruce it up how you like it."

Jungkook pouted, "What about all my stuff?" he asked while wiping more tears from his cheeks. He realized his hyungs had given him away with absolutely nothing. Not his clothes, shoes, blankets, his pillow, not even his favorite stuffed animal that Hobi and Namjoon had bought for him at the mall. He wondered why they even bought him anything if they didn't care about him.

"About that....Jin said that Namjoon had already organized donating all of your stuff and selling it for money. All they wanted out of you was money. But don't worry, because I'll be your hyung now and I promise to be a great one," Hiro replied. Jungkook turned back to look at Shiyuk to see if he had anything to say, but he didn't. Jungkook didn't want new hyungs or new stuff. He just wanted the people he knew, and the stuff he had, back.

Hiro gave Jungkook a small shove towards the bed, "Go on, make yourself at home. Get familiar with the place." Hiro left and closed the bedroom door behind him. Jungkook looked around the bedroom. It was empty aside from a bed and dresser. Jungkook admitted that Hiro actually had a really big and nice house, like something from a magazine. However he didn't care. He didn't care that he lived in a one bedroom dorm with six other guys, he loved them and wanted to go home. He threw himself onto the bed and curled up under the blankets as he cried into the pillow. He felt like this was all a bad nightmare he'd wake up from eventually. Maybe if he just fell asleep, he'd wake up in his own bed and everything Hiro said would be a lie. He closed his eyes and let himself drift off.

"Hey," Shiyuk grabbed Hiro's shirt and pulled him close, "How long you planning on keeping this kid for? Because he's already on the radar."

Shiyuk showed Hiro that their phones had popped up with emergency alerts with Jungkook's picture. It had only been about two hours and his face was already plastered all over the news with the report of him missing. In the alert was also a live broadcasted video of all of the members together outside the fair crying and begging the public to help find Jungkook.

The first thing Jin had done after calling the police was call the company. The company sent the rest of the members to the fair to help Jin look. Everyone was absolutely devastated as they searched for their missing maknae and couldn't find him anywhere. It was at the point where they knew he didn't run away. They knew someone took him.

"What do you mean how long do I plan to keep him? He belongs to me now. I can't just give him back, then they'd all know who took him!" Hiro glared at Shiyuk and grabbed the collar of his shirt, "And don't you dare think about telling them anything. Just act normal. Like we don't have him. You're an accomplice now, you know. If you try to tell on me, you're going right down with me. I'll make sure of that."

Shiyuk pushed Hiro aside, "Whatever. But how do we keep him from finding out what is going on? All that kid has to do is see one news article that he's missing and he's going to figure it out."

"Keep him off the computer. Off the TV. Don't let him use your phone. No newspapers. Hell, don't even let the damn kid go outside until this dies down," Hiro said sternly. Shiyuk nodded.

They were both startled when Hiro's phone went off and saw that Jin was calling.

"Jin! Hello! I got the alert about Jungkook! You haven't found him yet? I'm so sorry!" Hiro lied through his teeth. He wasn't sure what Jin was saying as the singer was clearly still in hysterics, but after repeating himself four times Jin was finally able to get it out coherently, "The police want us to go to your house while they ask you questions."

"What, why me?" Hiro asked as he felt his pulse pick up.

"Because you were the last person to see him," Jin said, "We are on our way." Jin hung up before Hiro could reply. Hiro and Shiyuk panicked. Hiro told Shiyuk to get Jungkook out of the house and fast. He told him to drive him around for a while but not to stop anywhere.

Shiyuk ran into Jungkook's room and shook him awake. Jungkook groaned but Shiyuk grabbed him out of bed before the maknae even knew what was going on. Jungkook's heart sank all over again. Upon waking up he realized he was still living in what he hoped was a nightmare.

"We're going to go for a little stroll," Shiyuk said as he pushed Jungkook towards the car.

"Why? Where? Can we stop by and see my hyungies?" Jungkook pouted as he got in the car.

"They don't want to see you. You're better off letting them live their lives happily now." Shiyuk started the car and sped away from the house as Jungkook sunk into the seat and curled his knees up to his face. He didn't feel like talking so he closed his eyes as Shiyuk drove them to wherever.

The members and the police showed up to Hiro's house about 35 minutes later. The police asked to search the house and Hiro gave them permission. The members were still crying, especially Jin. Jin couldn't help but feel like this was all his fault. He hugged Hiro, "I'm sorry about this. I told them you didn't have him but they said this was protocol."

"I understand," Hiro pouted. He said again how sorry he was. The police came back after searching the house and didn't find anything out of the ordinary. They asked Hiro a few questions in which he told them the same thing he had told Jin. That the youngest had never returned from out of the bathroom and was gone by the time he went to check.

"Who just takes a 15 year old boy from a fair?!" Taehyung cried.

"A murderer or a pervert!" Jimin screamed. He glared at Jin, "He's probably dead or hurt by now!" Jimin felt a bit of hostility towards both Jin and Hiro for losing his maknae at the fair. Jin was supposed to protect him. What the hell happened?

"Shut up Jimin!" Yoongi screamed at him, "Don't even open your mouth if you're going to say shit like that!"

"I'm sorry. I'm so sorry," Jin sobbed into his hands, "I should have never let him go without me. I should have just taken him myself. I'm so sorry." Jin started hyperventilating as he cried and Hobi rubbed his back. "We will find him," Hobi said reassuringly. He was trying to be the voice of reason. He couldn't begin to think Jungkook was out there being hurt by someone.

The police said they were done with their search and gestured for everyone to get going. Jin hugged Hiro goodbye and asked Hiro to let him know if he found out anything. Hiro promised he would. The members left with the police and Hiro texted Shiyuk that they could head back now.

When the two got back, Jungkook paused as soon as he stepped in the kitchen. He looked around.

"What?" Hiro asked confused.

"Did..my...nothing..nevermind," Jungkook pouted. Did my hyungs stop by? I can smell Taehyung's cologne. I'm probably just imagining it, though.

"Okay..anyways..what do you want for dinner?" Hiro asked. Jungkook said he wasn't hungry. His chest and stomach were in knots. He didn't know if he'd ever be able to eat again. All he wanted to do was curl back up in a ball and fall back asleep.

"Well you need to eat something. You haven't eaten since lunch time. Do you like cereal? I have cereal." Hiro pulled out a box of cereal from the cupboard but it was a kind Jungkook absolutely hated.

"I hate that kind, but really I'm not hungry. When can we go shopping so I can get new stuff?" Jungkook asked. He didn't want new stuff but knew he needed it.

"I'll send Shiyuk out tomorrow," Hiro said.

"I need clothes," Jungkook said nervously as he fiddled with his fingers. He already hated feeling like a burden. He wondered if this was exactly why his hyungs stopped loving him.

"Were you not listening to me? I said I will send Shiyuk out tomorrow." Hiro was getting a bit impatient, especially after the police visit. He was feeling a bit on edge and irritable.

"Can I go with him? Whenever hyungies take me out shopping I have to try stuff on."

Hiro took a step closer to Jungkook and the youngest took a nervous step back. Hiro hovered over him a bit threateningly, "Stop calling them that. They don't want you to call them your hyungs anymore."

Jungkook gulped and bit his lower lip to stop it from quivering.

"We are your hyungs now, you understand that? So stop calling those other guys your hyungs, because they're not. They didn't want you, Jungkook. Get that through your little head. Shiyuk will go out tomorrow and get you whatever you need. In the meantime I don't want you going outside."

"I can't go outside? Why?" Jungkook frowned.

"Because!" Hiro screamed, making Jungkook flinch, "I have rules! You don't go outside! Don't touch the TV or the computer! Don't touch our phones! Don't do anything without my permission! Do you understand me?! If you break my rules, there will be consequences! And if you don't listen then you'll just prove to me why your members didn't want to keep you!"

Without saying anything, Jungkook let his tears fall as he turned and ran back to his new room, slamming the door behind him. Hiro and Shiyuk could hear him screaming and crying from behind the door.

"What the hell was that? What are you doing?" Shiyuk asked angrily to Hiro, "He didn't do a damn thing wrong and you're already screaming at him?"

"He needs to learn to obey me sooner rather than later. I don't want him questioning me!" Hiro shouted.

Shiyuk gave Hiro a slight shove, "You can't kidnap a teenager from his family and expect him to instantly obey and listen to you. He's heartbroken and confused after all these stupid lies about his hyungs you're throwing at him. Not to mention you screaming at him just scared the hell out of him! You know damn well his hyungs never scream at him like that! We both know Jin doesn't allow that in that house!"

Shiyuk was starting to regret taking the money and helping Hiro take Jungkook. Jin really was their good friend, and in the moment he thought the money was important and he was desperate. But what he had actually helped do was starting to sink in a bit. He realized he helped kidnap Jin's little brother. The police were involved. The poor kid was terrified. And he was an accomplice. If Hiro went down, he knew he would too. He felt stuck between saving his own ass, or helping Jungkook get back to his family. He decided that for now he was going to leave it alone and hope that like Hiro said, things would die down.

"Don't question how I choose to raise my own little brother," Hiro spat at him.

"He's not yours," Shiyuk spat back.

Hiro smacked the counter angrily, "Yes he is!"

"Well then you're one hell of a hyung, aren't you?! The kid hasn't stopped crying since you took him! If you really want to be this great big brother, go act like one and be nicer to him!" Shiyuk spat back before retreating to his own room. He rented out a room from Hiro's house.

Hiro could still hear Jungkook crying in his room and decided to try and take Shiyuk's advice. He went into the room and sat next to Jungkook on the bed and starting hugging him. Jungkook cried harder. He didn't want a hug from Hiro. He wanted a hug from Jin. He wanted Jin to hug him and tell him this was all a lie, but figured that wasn't going to happen.

"Sorry I yelled at you," Hiro said. Jungkook didn't reply. He didn't know what to say. Hiro continued, "I'm new to this hyung thing."

Jungkook finally looked up through his tears, "How c-c-come they didn't want me anymore?"

Jungkook couldn't figure it out. He had gone over everything he had ever done wrong in his head. Was it the time he pranked Yoongi? Was it because Jin didn't want the responsibility anymore? Was it because Namjoon didn't like it when he'd leave his clothes to dry on the top bunk? Was it when he fought with Hobi over food? Was it because of the small fight him and Jimin had gotten into during dance practice a few weeks ago? He couldn't even think of a time him and Taehyung fought. They never had.

"I don't know, kiddo. All Jin told me was that they didn't want you and it was a relief to get rid of you," Hiro lied as he rubbed Jungkook's back. "But I promise to be an even better hyung. Before you know it you'll forget all about them."

Jungkook didn't like the sound of that. He didn't want to forget all about them. They were his family and had been for two years. They were supposed to debut together soon as a band.

"What about the band?" Jungkook sniffled.

"Jin said you're not in it anymore."

Jungkook sobbed harder. The past two years had been for absolutely nothing. Everything had been for nothing.

"I just d-don't unders-s-stand," Jungkook cried, "I tried to be a-a- good maknae. I just want to tell them I'm s-s-sorry that I wasn't."

"I know, but trust me, they aren't going to care," Hiro told him, "It's best you try to forget them and move on. You have a new life now. It will be a better one."

"Can I p-p-please call them? Just to apologize," Jungkook pleaded. He was desperate for any kind of contact.

"I said no already. You can't call them," Hiro said sternly, "Now, it's late. Try and get some sleep." Hiro gave Jungkook a tight hug again and said goodnight. Jungkook lay there in the dark crying. He didn't know it was possible to miss someone so much, and to make it worse, the pain was six times as painful. He realized he may have taken his hyungs fore granted. He didn't realize how scared, upset, and lonely he would ever feel without them.

If I could just call them, talk to them, apologize for everything I've ever done, maybe they'll let me come home. Maybe they'd give me a chance to do it over again.

Jungkook was desperate and made up his mind. He was going to call Jin. He just needed Hiro's phone to do it. He devised a plan to sneak onto the phone once Hiro went to bed and give his hyung a call. He just had to wait for Hiro to be asleep. He lay quietly in bed for a few hours and waited until the house seemed silent. He snuck out of his room and wandered around until he found Hiro's. He crept into his room and searched around for his cell phone. Thankfully the moon lit the room up so he could see where he was going. He grabbed the phone and crept back out of the room. He ran outside with it and immediately called Jin.

Ring.

Ring.

Ring.

Ring.

His hyung wasn't picking up. It had gone to voicemail. He tried again.

Please, hyung. I'm sorry. I want to come home.

It went to voicemail again. Jungkook knew it was the middle of the night and his hyung was probably asleep, but also wondered if Jin was purposely ignoring a call from Hiro because he didn't care to hear anything about Jungkook.

"What the hell do you think you're doing?!"

Jungkook turned around to see Hiro running towards him. He threw the cell phone on the ground and started backing up.

"I'm..I'm sorry..I just really needed to call hyungie and I-"

Hiro stormed forward and smacked Jungkook across the face. Jungkook grabbed his sore cheek and felt his heart start beating out of his chest the more nervous and scared he got. Hiro picked up his phone, "You tried to call Jin after I told you not to a million times?!"

"I had to try and you wouldn't let me!" Jungkook cried, "He didn't pick anyway!"

Hiro grabbed Jungkook by the wrist, "You're really not going to listen to a word I say are you?!"

"Let go of me!" Jungkook screamed as he tried to back out of Hiro's grip.

"Oh! Let go of you?! If anything, this hyung needs to teach you a lesson in not disobeying me! I fuckin told you not to touch my cell phone!"

Jungkook cried and tried ungrasping Hiro's hand from around his wrist, "You're not my hyung! I don't want you to be my hyung and I don't have to listen to you! I want to go home!!" Jungkook screamed.

Hiro pushed Jungkook onto the ground, "This is your home!" he screamed.

"No it's not!!!" Jungkook screamed back. Hiro lost his patience with Jungkook. He grabbed his arm and hoisted the boy to his feet and started dragging him inside.

"Let go of me! Leave me alone!" Jungkook cried. He kept trying to break free but Hiro was stronger than him.

"I'm going to show you what happens to kids who disobey. I'm going to show you what your members should have done from the start!" Hiro dragged Jungkook into his bedroom and grabbed a belt from inside his closet.

"No.." Jungkook begged, "Please...I'm sorry. Leave me alone!" Jungkook screamed. The maknae couldn't believe he was in this situation. None of his hyungs dared to hit him, ever. Hurting eachother was off limits, unless it was through an accident. But never on purpose.

The belt came down on Jungkook and landed on his back. He fell to the floor screaming and sobbing.

"I'm sorry!" he cried.

"This is what happens to little brats! Your members didn't want you, and now I understand why!" Hiro screamed as he brought the belt down on Jungkook again. The maknae squirmed and screamed and cried.

"Stop! Take me home! Please! I just want to go home!" Jungkook begged. He curled up in a ball as the belt kept hitting his back and then his ribs. One hit landed on his face and turned his cheek purple. Hiro wanted to shape Jungkook into a perfect and obedient little brother, even if that meant having to hurt him in the process.

Shiyuk ran in the room after a few minutes, "What the hell are you doing to him?!" he screamed at Hiro. He ran at Hiro and snatched the belt out of his hand, "Why are you hurting him?! Stop it!"

Hiro was beat red in the face with anger. Jungkook was a bruised and crying mess on the floor.

"Fuck off!" Hiro screamed at Shiyuk.

"You're beating him?!" Shiyuk yelled at Hiro, "What the hell is wrong with you?!"

"The brat didn't want to listen to me!" Hiro spat at Jungkook and kicked him in the stomach. Shiyuk shoved Hiro back, "This ends now! I'm done!"

"Shut the hell up!" Hiro screamed at Shiyuk, "You know the consequences!"

Shiyuk got in Hiro's face, "I don't care anymore! He doesn't deserve this! You can't take him and beat him into the perfect little brother you want him to be. This was a mistake! Look what you're doing to him!"

They both looked at Jungkook who was huddled up sobbing on the floor. He was clutching his body in pain. Shiyuk couldn't do it anymore. He didn't care if he got in trouble at this point. He knew Jungkook was such a great kid, and he knew how much Jin and the rest of them must be hurting and missing him.

"He's going home," Shiyuk told Hiro.

"He is home!" Hiro spat at him.

Shiyuk knelt down next to Jungkook and rubbed his arm, "Bullshit. This isn't his home. You know damn well who he belongs to. We should have never taken him! This was stupid!"

Jungkook heard this conversation and was extremely confused on what they were talking about it.

"Screw off, Shiyuk!" Hiro screamed. Shiyuk wrapped his arms around Jungkook and tried to help him stand up, "You screw off! I'm taking him home!" he screamed. Hiro pushed him and Jungkook onto the floor, "No!"

"Please stop," Jungkook begged. He had no idea what was happening all he knew was his body was on fire and he was terrified.

"Hiro lied to you!" Shiyuk said to Jungkook, "Your hyungs have been searching for you since the second Jin knew you went missing!"

Jungkook stared at him confused, "What?"

Hiro smacked Shiyuk, "Shut the hell up!"

Shiyuk kept going, "It was all a lie! Everything about your hyungs not loving you and wanting you gone! Hiro wanted to take you as his own little brother and lied to get you to come with us! I'm so sorry! Jungkook they all want you home!"

Jungkook didn't know how to feel. He'd been told so many things in the last few hours it was all becoming a blur. He didn't know what was true and what wasn't anymore. Hiro instantly snatched his belt back and hit Shiyuk with it. Shiyuk screamed at Jungkook to run to the car and wait for him there. He promised he was going to bring him home. Jungkook didn't believe him in the slightest, but made a run for the car anyway. He at least didn't want to be in that house anymore. As he ran, Hiro tried to chase him, he grabbed his arm and tackled him to the floor, but Shiyuk grabbed Hiro and pulled him off.

"Run, Jungkook!" Shiyuk screamed. Jungkook made it out of the house and into the car. He anxiously waited for whatever was supposed to happen next. He tried to catch his breath but was having trouble. He was hyperventilating and crying too much. After a few minutes he saw Shiyuk running for the car. He hopped in and started it and started speeding away. He saw Hiro run out of the house screaming behind them.

Jungkook tried catching his breath before speaking, "Please don't hurt me too." He looked at Shiyuk with terrified eyes.

Shiyuk placed his hand gently on Jungkook's arm. He looked at the boy and could see his bruises and swollen cheek and his heart sank. He regretted this entirely. "I'm not. I'm taking you home to your hyungs where you belong. I'm so sorry. I never thought he'd harm you. Believe me, Jin wants you back. They all do. That drive we went on? I took you out because all of your hyungs came over with the police. They haven't stopped looking for you."

Jungkook's heart sank when he remembered walking back into the kitchen after their random drive.

Taehyung's cologne.

"He didn't want you outside or on electronics because you're missing poster is plastered all over the news," Shiyuk said. "They never said any of those things you were being told. They love you."

Jungkook let the tears fall. He felt extremely vulnerable. All he could do was hope he was being told the truth, and hope he was actually being taken home. Hiro already beat him, he had no doubt that Shiyuk might be dragging him off to murder him somewhere or something. He started to wonder if maybe he shouldn't have gotten in the car. Had he not learned from what happened the first time?

He started to perk up when he started to recognize where they were driving. The place was familiar. He recognized houses and street signs. He felt his heart beat faster when he realized they were actually getting closer to his dorm. Shiyuk parked right in front of it.

"I told you I was bringing you home," Shiyuk said. They both got out of the car, but Jungkook fell to the ground. His body was aching terribly from the belt. So much that he realized he couldn't walk. He was so close to home but couldn't make it to the door. Shiyuk placed Jungkook's arm around his neck and helped him walk.

"Hyungies really still want me?" Jungkook asked as they made their way to the front door. He was still nervous.

"Yes, Jungkook. Your hyungies still really want you."

They stood at the front door, Jungkook went to open it but it was locked. Lights were on which meant at least one of his hyungs had to be awake. Shiyuk knocked loudly. They heard the door handle wiggle and saw all six of them standing in the doorway. They all had bags under their eyes. They clearly hadn't stopped crying and hadn't gotten any sleep.

"I'm so sorry," Shiyuk said as he let go of Jungkook and lightly pushed him forward into his hyungs. The members were speechless as Jungkook fell into their arms. Jungkook was feeling really weak as he sobbed at the sight of them.

"Jungkook!?!?!?" Hobi finally screamed. All of them started crying and screaming as they hugged and kissed their maknae. They all panicked when they realized he was pretty hurt.

"What happened to him?! Where was he?!?!" Jin cried to Shiyuk.

Shiyuk was a mess of tears. "Hiro had him...I'm so sorry. He..he beat him pretty badly. I had to bring him home. I couldn't lie anymore."

Jin blew up. He ran at Shiyuk and started hitting him and screaming at him. Jungkook begged him to stop. He was so sick of the anger and the hitting he'd seen that night. Jungkook started screaming that Shiyuk saved him, that Hiro was the bad guy.

"You knew!?! You knew where he was this whole time?!" Taehyung screamed. He grabbed Jungkook and cradled him into his neck as he cried.

"I'm sorry," Shiyuk said again. Yoongi was immediately on the phone with the police to tell them the updated information. Police were sent right to Hiro's house.

"Why did he beat him?!" Jimin cried as he ran his fingers through Jungkook's hair, "Oh you poor thing. Our poor baby," Jimin cried.

"I was bad," Jungkook sniffled into Taehyung's neck. Jungkook wrapped his arms around Taehyung and cried harder.

"I don't care what you do, nobody fuckin hits you!!" Jin screamed.

"I'm so sorry! I'm so sorry if I'm a bad maknae and made you all not love me anymore! I'll be better I promise! I'll be a better maknae! Please let me stay!" Jungkook begged.

"What the hell are you talking about?! Not love you anymore?! We've been looking for you everywhere! You don't know how scared we were!" Yoongi cried. Shiyuk explained to them how they'd taken Jungkook and all the lies they had both spat at him about them.

Namjoon took Jungkook's face in his hands, " You can't possibly think any of that was true?! Of course we love you!" The leader pulled Jungkook away from Taehyung and wrapped him in his own arms as they cried together, "Of course we love you."

"I'm sorry. I didn't know what to believe anymore," Jungkook said with a sorrowful heart.

Yoongi was busy inspecting the bruises on Jungkook and their hearts were shattered. The one on his cheek was purple and swollen, and some of the bruises on his back and ribs were starting to turn into welts. Jimin and Hobi went and grabbed ice for him.

The members were livid with Shiyuk and didn't know what to do. He had helped Hiro take Jungkook. He kept him hidden as they panicked and searched. But he also saved Jungkook and brought him home.

"Jungkook, what do you want to do about this?" Jin asked. He said he didn't know or want that responsibility. Shiyuk said he'd turn himself in and leave it up to the police. He felt horrible and felt as though he deserved it. The members agreed to that. The police showed up to take Shiyuk, and informed the members that they also had Hiro in custody.

Jungkook sighed in relief.

Finally my nightmare is over.

The police were able to call off the emergency missing persons report and sent out the good news that the boy had been found and was home. They called in a paramedic to examine Jungkook for any more injuries but aside from the bruising he was alright. He didn't want to go to the hospital, he just wanted to stay close to his hyungs. His real hyungs.

After the police were gone, the members continued clinging to Jungkook. He told them everything while they cried together. Jin couldn't forgive himself for being so stupid.

"I should have realized it was suspicious when he was the last one who'd seen you."

"It's not your fault," Jungkook replied. He didn't want any of them to blame themselves. He felt like it was his own fault for actually believing the things Hiro and Shiyuk had told him.

"Again, we promise nothing you were told was true. We love you. We haven't slept or eaten a thing being worried about you! Have you eaten? You look thin," Hobi cried as he looked at Jungkook again.

"I haven't been able to eat, but I doubt I lost I weight in less than a day," Jungkook replied.

"You haven't eaten?! What do you want to eat?!" Jin cried. It was almost 3 AM but Jin didn't care. He'd make Jungkook his favorite food at any time of the day or night.

Jungkook asked if Jin could just make ramen and his hyung got right to it. The rest of them were huddling around Jungkook on the couch.

"I really missed you," a tear started slipping out of Jungkook's eye, "I thought I'd never see any of you ever again."

"We missed you just as much and were just as scared," Taehyung cried. He was running his hand through Jungkook's hair. It was heartbreaking looking at him seeing the bad bruise on his maknae's cheek. It made his heart hurt. It made them all hurt.

"I'll be right back," Namjoon said. The leader disappeared and returned with Jungkook's favorite stuffed animal. The one him and Hobi had gotten him. Jungkook clung to it. He thought he'd never see it again. He thought he'd never see any of his stuff again. He realized everything he owned within the dorm was still exactly where he had left it that morning. He had pairs of shoes still by the door, he had a sweater still hanging off the side of the couch. He even still had his old soda can on the living room table where he had left it last night. He realized nobody had gotten rid of or touched a single thing of his.

Yoongi had given Jungkook some pain killers that were making him sleepy. He didn't want to go to bed though, he thought going to bed would make him feel lonely. Even though he was absolutely exhausted he wanted to stay up with his hyungs. Part of him was scared that if he closed his eyes he'd wake up right back in that house.

"Hyungies.." Jungkook started, he looked at them with giant nervous eyes, "What if he comes back?"

"Over my dead body will either of them ever come near you again! They're dead to me! They can both sit in jail! They aren't coming back!" Jin yelled, "I'm never letting you out of my sight again! I'm putting you on a damn leash!"

"We can't put him on a leash," Jimin chuckled.

"Yahh!! Watch me!!" Jin yelled sarcastically. He finished cooking and brought the food out for everyone.

"Thank you, hyung," Jungkook smiled.

"No problem," Jin replied ruffling Jungkook's hair. He pulled his maknae into him as they ate and turned on a movie. One by one the members slowly fell asleep in the living room until it was just Jin and Jungkook awake. Jin was cuddling him on the couch and noticed Jungkook had silent tears spilling down his cheeks.

"Please no more tears. It kills me," Jin said as he wiped them from his maknae's face.

"I'm sorry. I'm just so glad I'm home. I was so scared and confused."

Jin kissed the top of Jungkook's forehead, "I'm so sorry I let this happen. I still can't stop blaming myself. You were my responsibility today and I messed up. I messed up so badly." Jin started crying again.

"They were your friends. You trusted them. I guess we both did."

"And now I trust nobody except you guys," Jin replied. He ran his finger across the bruise on Jungkook's cheek, "I'm so sorry you got hurt."

Jungkook leaned his head onto Jin's shoulder and yawned, "It's really not your fault hyungie."

Jin continued to cry as he watched Jungkook's eyes drift closed as he fell asleep on him. He thought he'd never see or hold or hear Jungkook ever again, and here he was.

Right in his arms.

[THE END]
