"Don't you feel a little bad for lying to Mr and Mrs Choi?" I ask her after we ate our breakfast.

"I do, yes but its what we'll have to do in order for us to have a party without your nosey neighbors snitching on you." She shrugs with a mouthful of pancakes.

"Hey, you wanna get McDonald's later?" I look up from my own set of pancakes.

Her mouth opens slightly. "Bro we're literally eating breakfast and you're thinking about your next meal?" She asks.

"Gotta plan ahead." I wink at her and continue eating my syrupy goodness."By the way, what did you tell your parents about tonight?" I point my fork at her.

"The same as what I told Mr and Mrs Choi, I just replaced the part of the party with 'we're having a girl's weekend to cheer Nissa up'." Now its her turn to wink at me and continue to stuff her face with pancakes.

After breakfast, we watched another two movies before we went to get some of our favorites; vodka, gin and tequila. Beer tastes disgusting so if anyone wants that, they'll have to bring their own.

We get snacks as well because we have to at least have something to eat besides the pizza we're ordering later.

It's been a while since I've been to a party so the good and bad memories of the last one I attended flood my mind.

I push the bad memories aside. This party is going to be different, my parents won't be here to threatened to kill me again.

***

The first party goers are of course two of the four unintroduced people that I consider to be important in my life, Caroline and Nissa.

Along with Cho-hee, the four of us have been best friends since sophomore year in high school. Caroline and Nissa have boyfriends, Cho-hee and I don't, so I see Cho-hee more than I see the other half of our four way friendship or as Nissa calls it ✨ Our Sisterhood ✨.

We greet each other with the basic "hey" and friendly hug. Honestly, there's nothing really special about our friendship. The only thing that's different is that we each have our own separate personalities. Nissa is the friendly crackhead that knows everyone and sends the most random and weird shit in our group chat.

Caroline is the smart mother in our group, she had the best grades, always takes care of us at parties and is honestly the sweetest human to ever exist.

Cho-hee is the slow eating, quiet-talkative friend, she never speaks when she meets someone new or when she's around someone she's attracted to but when its just the four of us, she speaks faster than han jisung raps. Apart from that, we're the closest in our friend group, so we speak more often. In my opinion, she gives the best advice.

Then there's me, the pansexual singer that complains about everything. I'm the only one that isn't completely straight but I don't mind in all honesty. Yes I sing, I love singing. Some people told me that instead of cutting, I should put all my emotions and energy into singing but they don't understand. To me, cutting is about pain, not sadness. I don't cry. I cut so that I don't cry. I don't want to cry. Crying makes me feel weak. I'm not weak. I'm strong. I've overcome many things, especially at a young age and it all started when I was nine years old. No this isn't going to be a flashback. If I tell you everything in one go, there won't be much for me to explain later on in the book. Oh and I complain a lot, especially to my friends. I tell them everything, well almost everything. They don't know that I cut.

Fuck I talk a lot. I'm sorry, I want to give as much of an explanation as I possibly can so that everything can make sense in the future.

***

Nissa brought her favorite, Soju. She isn't even Korean but she loves everything about South Korea, especially Soju.

She's a true alcoholic, much like Cho-hee. I don't really care for drinking, I'll drink if my friends do but I prefer to smoke. I know what you're thinking, how can someone that loves singing, smoke. Well I don't smoke cigarettes or vape, I smoke weed. You'd think that smoking weed would have the same effect as smoking cigarettes but I guess I was wrong. Caroline on the other hand, does none of the above. She would have a shot every now and then but just enough to be considered sober or close to tipsy.

"Let's get this party started!!!!" Nissa shouts as she starts twerking in the middle of the doorway. Caroline shakes her head, "Relax my guy, just because Cooper isn't here, doesn't mean you can go full on hoe mode." She says as we all share a laugh.

"Where is Cooper and Adrien by the way?" Cho-hee asks the two. "Adrien had a modeling gig and Niss said that Cooper is busy helping his parents with something so they said that they're coming soon." We're still standing at the front entrance of my house and I don't think either of us realized it.

"Where do I put this?" Nissa asks, picking up her bottles of Soju that she put down before she started twerking like The Boyz's Kevin. (a/n: watch Kingdom and stan all the groups on the show!!)

"In the kitchen, or you can put it in the pantry cupboard if you want to hide it." I tell her. "Yeah, I'll put it there for now. I can always fetch it later when we start."

Nissa and Caroline arrived at 8 so with their help, we ordered the pizza and started moving things around so that there was place for everyone to dance and do whatever.

***

At around 8:45, Adrien and Cooper knocked on the door carrying the ice we asked them to bring. "You two came at the perfect time. Can you put the ice in the freezer and then will you help us set up the billiards table pretty please?" Cho-hee asks with an innocent smile.

They nod their heads and head toward the garage to fetch the table.

Not too long after we all finished setting everything up, the rest of the party 'guests' arrive and to be completely honest, I don't know half of the people but Cho-hee knows them so, I don't really care.

Our group of friends decide to sit outside since my parents to put a lounge suite there. We brought a bucket of ice and glasses so that we don't have to go inside every time someone wanted a refill. We're sitting on the couches when I hear a familiar voice call my name.

"Jae!!!!!!" I jump up as I see my best friend standing at the back door. (haha, get it? stray kids? get it? okay I'm leaving. bye.)

I run to him and give him a bear hug. "I haven't seen you in such a long time! How have you been?" I say as we finally separate from the hug. "I've been okay and you bro?" I shrug, "Not the best but we move." "You can speak to me, you know?" He raises an eyebrow. "Yeah I know but I don't like speaking about my feelings." I say as I look to my feet. "Whatever you say weirdo." "C'mon, let's go sit by the rest of my friends."

***

Since you guys might be wondering. Jaesung is my best friend. We met through social media and for some reason, we instantly became friends, cliché right?

Many people think that we have feelings for each other but or that we're dating because of how close we are but as far as I know, neither one of us had feelings for the other. I honestly don't think we ever would. He actually said that he finds the fact that people think we're dating, disgusting. And I swear, I didn't bring the topic up. I would say that I swear on my life but lol, we both know that I don't really care about my life.

***

We walk over to the rest of the group and he and I take a seat on the sofa, with me sitting in the middle and Jaesung and Cho-hee on either side of me. He pours himself a glass of the vodka mixture he brought. Although our group didn't really speak besides the small talk we made, we were still enjoying the evening. The two couples and the two sitting on either side of me were drinking whatever was on the table while I on the other hand was smoking a joint.

At around 9:15, Cho-hee got a phone call.

She got up and disappeared into the house with an irritated look on her face. "That must be her cousin." I say to no one in particular as I lean my head onto Jaesung's shoulder and take another drag from the rolled up greens in between my fingers.

"You guys remember my cousin and his friends right?" Cho-hee says with disgust in her voice as she walks back outside with seven tall, handsome Korean boys following.
"Holy shit." I say, almost dropping my joint.

the boys officially entered the book!!! I'm happy this chapter is over because it was very difficult for me to choose when they would be introduced because I wasn't sure how and when and where so I'm glad they're finally here. Now I can start with the main plot.

I know I make a lot of references to a lot of different groups. its because i stan so many groups so if something happens in the book and it reminds me of something from another group, I'll make a reference to them. please let me know if you don't like it and you want me to stop.

oh and for the next chapter, I want you guys to guess which bts era it is by their hair color. I absolutely love this era and to make it even more difficult, I won't really be saying who's who at the very start. please don't look it up!!

please comment your thoughts!

I love you all <3 <3 <3 <3
