Maxs Pov

I know I probably shouldn't keep ignoring Preston but I have to. I'm getting him something special for his birthday and he can't know what it is. I haven't had a lot of time to study and I've missed a lot of tutor sessions...

BUT WHO FUCKING CARES?

Yesterday I spent around 5 hours trying to get him Hamilton tickets before they sold out, which was actually very hard to do. Most of the musicals I know Preston likes are coming to where we are and I know he's excited. Most of the time I have to look over at whatever Preston is doing on his phone and make sure he's not getting tickets. 

I walked into the living room where Preston was watching  Netflix a few hours earlier. It seemed that he had left so I looked around, seeing him in kitchen. Preston looked over at me, hearing me walk in. "Hey Max." He greeted, a small smile on his face. I walked over to him and sat on the chair beside him, leaning slightly on him. Of course he had his earphones in, only taking them out once I walked inside. "What were you listening to?" I asked, actually sort of curious. "A musical called Heathers." I nodded, making a mental note to look for tickets for the musical. "Cool." I responded, leaning up and kissing his cheek. Preston looked at me, the usual smile on his face covered with a frown. "What's wrong Pres?" I asked him, moving closer. He took a deep breath and sighed, beginning what seemed to be a long paragraph. 

"I know that you need to do your work and I shouldn't be someone to stop you from that... I can get you some things so that you can get your studying done faster because I'm really bored without you. And I'm sure-" I cut him off with a quick press of my lips on his. It was quick, yet loving. "I'll try and spend more time with you Pres." He smiled and wrapped his arms around me, pulling me closer than before. "Thank you so much, Maxxy." He purred as I wondered how he all of a sudden got so much confidence. I smiled and kissed him tenderly, thankful that I had him in my life.
