Cole and I stood in line to get the tickets while the other 3 stayed in the car. We didn't want Zane to be seen (and I realized we didn't want any of them to be noticed, so I just took Cole so it looked like we were a couple). At one point I started to panic slightly so I linked arms with him. Looking back, I embarrass myself. But he is the most wonderful person to link arms with. Anyway-
We bought the tickets, nobody recognized Cole, and we headed back to the car. Great... so far.
"Are we just gonna sit in here or can we find our seats?" Kai asked as soon as we were inside.
"Well we'd better not, honestly," I said. "It might be a really stupid move on our part. Especially with Zane." Then I quickly added, "If you don't want to get attacked by fans," only because I didn't want them to find out they weren't real. They would probably get attacked by the police.
"That's fine," Jay smiled.
"Yeah, of course," Cole agreed.
"Great."
My mind ran a hundred miles a minute and I realized I had forgotten something very important-
"Cole!"
"Huh?"
"Your ghost scar!" My smile feels like it's going to swallow my face whole.
"What?" I swear he blushed a little, but by that time I didn't realize what I was doing and I was probably as red as a tomato myself.
"You know, your-" I got ahead of myself and leaned forward, turned his chin to the left with my hand and swept his hair out of his face with the other. I gasped. Yup; there it was.
"It's so cute!" I mentally kicked myself over and over for saying that. "Do youuuu, umm, does it hurt or anything?" I stuttered.
"Not really," he said, shaking his hair back into place. He had a lot of hair. Aaaugh.
"What about with water?"
"Uh, I don't know, I-"
"We just try not to get water on it," Jay interrupted.
"Ok, cool." I sat normally again but whipped around to ask, "Have you ever gotten it wet?"
"Uh, well yeah," he said, rubbing the back of his neck.
"Sorry, I was pushy. You don't have to say."
"O-okay. Thanks."
I looked back and Kai was staring lasers into me. "What?" I snapped.
"I dunno, why don't you tell me!" he snapped back.
"Kaiii, I don't want to be enemies," I cooed, giving him my most angelic smile.
"Why would we be enemies?" he huffed.
"'Cause you're acting like it," I huffed back.
"Guys," Cole sighed.
"Sorry," I squeaked and shot Kai a funny grin to which I'm pretty sure I got a quarter smirk back. I rested my chin on my seat shoulder and let out a deep sigh. "You guys are all so pretty."
"What?" Jay and Cole said at the same time. Jay looked genuinely confused, and Kai looked at me like I was sus.
"Pardon?" Zane asked politely.
"Hehehehh..." I chuckled nervously, feeling my face redden. "I did not just say that, right?"
"You did just say that," Zane confirmed.
"Gee, thanks." I tried to roll my eyes but somehow failed and just ended up staring at the ceiling. "Ahaha, yeah." I crossed my arms defensively over my chest. "I meant what I said. Y'all are ho- REALLY good- fine. I mean good-looking. Yup." I started sweating again. Why did I have to make everything weird?
"Thanks," Kai said, flashing me a grin. "I'll take the compliment."
"I knew you would," I beamed. "Zanepleasegetussomeconversationstarters."
"Alright." He looked thoughtful. "Conversation starters from my databases... What do you want to be when you grow up?"
Sarcastic snickers.
"Cole wants to be a dancer," Kai said.
"Do not!" he retorted.
"Well you are good at it," Jay said.
"Whatever. What about you, Anna?"
"Well honestly I don't know," I said, "I haven't thought about it that much and I feel like I'm just going to end up living in my parents' basement until they forget I'm there and I only come out at night because we don't want to see each other but then one day they will hear me sneaking around and come and shoot me because they think I'm a murderer coming to get them."
"That's... dark," Kai frowned.
"Yeah. But really I think if I really wanted to, I could be like make money off blogs or something cool. I like solving stuff."
Cole nodded. "That could be good."
"Anyway enough about me, do any of you have any plans for if you ever like settle down and have a family?"
Jay shrugged and Kai looked thoughtful.
Zane spoke up. "I would like to work for the greater good of Ninjago and ensure that the future generations are prepared for what may lie ahead."
"Nice!" I chuckled lightly.
"I think I could probably build stuff," Jay said. "Like inventing, you know. Make a lot of money."
"I'd want to be a blacksmith," Kai said, "Like my dad. I've always wanted to be as great as him. Maybe I'll find something else, though, I dunno."
"That's good," I nodded. "What about you, Cole?"
He cocked his head to the side in thought. "I don't really know. I guess I've never thought about it that much."
"That's okay," I said. "You're amazing at a lot of things, and you could probably pick anything up if you wanted to."
"Yeah, I know that, I just mean... a family," he said quietly.
A sad presence fell over the car.
"Cole, I bet there's someone out there for you," I told him, "and even if there's not, that's okay."
"Hmm," he hummed, and nodded slightly.
"Have you ever dated, Cole?" I asked. Dumb question.
The question took him by surprise. "Uh, yeah."
"And... I don't know where I was going with that." Really I wanted to tell him that I would date him, but... Place and time, Anna. This was not the place or the time.
After a beat of silence, Zane asked, "Would we like another question?"
"Sure," Jay said.
"Alright. What season are you?"
"What kind of a question is that?" Kai scoffed with a hint of laughter.
"Like literally if you were a season what season would you be," Jay explained. "I'd be spring."
"Agreed," Cole said. "Fall."
"I believe I would be winter," Zane stated.
"I could be... summer? Hottest season," Kai said with a smirk.
I rolled my eyes. "Yes yes and yes. And I'd probably be spring or summer."
"I see that," Cole said, eyeing me.
"In a good way?" I asked.
"Yes, a good way," he smiled. "I mean- I don't know you that well, but yes I think so." If I didn't know better I would have thought he was blushing a bit.
Fortunately the conversation became normal again until it was time for the movie. When we got out I told them to put their hoods up so they wouldn't be recognized, but then I changed my mind because a girl with three boys with their hoods up might look kinda sus, so I just had Zane and Kai do it because in my opinion they could be the most recognizable.
We sat down and the other movie trailers started playing, when Cole exclaimed, "We need snacks!"
So me and Cole went to get snacks (I tried to make it look like we were a couple again because I was super nervous). He told the concession worker he wanted popcorn and pretzels and twizzlers and probably other stuff that I don't remember anymore, and then he looked down at me with his gorgeous brown eyes and I swear-
I leaned over (and stood on my tiptoes) and kissed him. Just a quick kiss on the cheek, but I kissed him.
I think he was surprised, but then he smiled.
I was ecstatic all the way back to our seats.
I kissed Cole!
Anyway we carried the snacks back to our seats and passed them out. I sat between Cole and Jay, and Kai was beside Cole and Zane was beside Jay. Fun. Once we got settled in, Kai leaned forward and whispered, "Is it just me or have people been staring at us?"
I paled, glancing at Zane, whose titanium skin flashed at me from under his hood.
"Yeah, I've noticed that too," Jay whispered back.
Cole and I exchanged a nervous look. All we could do was sit there and wait for the movie to start.
Anyway there were a lot of trailers, but-
My phone went off.

(You have to listen to the video to know what I mean by "phone went off".)
