Note: Major spoilers for the upcoming chapters of The Return if you didn't read the original.

List things little known things about your works.

Okay, this is gonna be fun! *forgets every fact I had listed in my head*

1. The "master" (who does have a name now btw) was not originally going to be Legolas' brother. It was originally going to be two brothers who were not related to our favorite royal family that were going to be the antagonists of the story.

2. Legolas was going to be captured during an attack on the King's Halls. But then I decided to add Arwen into the equation. Plus, it would be hard to make that believable.

3. Arwen was going to be pregnant with Eldarion while they were being held captive in the Moria. This just seemed too cruel.

4. Legolas and Arwen were going to be rescued by the "masters" daughter. I just flat out didn't like that idea. Too many questions would have to be answered for that to work.

5. Thaladir wasn't going to have play a huge role. He was originally going to disappear shortly after they got back from meeting Aragorn. I hope he's not mad at me for that...

6. Thaladir was going to find Thranduil dying and bring him to Lorien where Legolas was still recovering. Thranduil was going to die there instead. And as Thaladir is taking Thranduil to Lorien, Thranduil was going to talk to Thaladir thinking he was his other son. (Aka the orc master.) Apologizing to him.

7. Legolas' mother was going to be alive. This one was more of a passing thought as I didn't work out all the details, but I thought I'd list it anyway.

8. The whole idea started after I imagined that first attack (the one where Legolas is stabbed in the beginning) From there, I just started asking the question why.

9. This was the first story I had ever written outside of school. I think when I started it I had only written one story for school and that was several years ago.

That was really fun! It was like a trip down memory lane of my imagination.
