Prom W/ Ma Bro! (Gravity Falls [not pinecest])

"So, Mabel," Damien was saying. His arm was around me as we walked outside during lunch, sharing a bag of doritoes. "The proms coming up soon."

I barely stopped the smile which was inching it's way up my lips. "Yeah," I said calmly. The fact was, I already had a dress made and everything.

"You know I'm not really the type to get excited about this sort of thing, but I feel like I should do something to make you happy. Would you like to go to prom with me?"

I smile up at Damian. I opened my mouth to say yes, when I spotted Dipper eating his lunch alone under a tree, being pestered by some of our classmates. "Hold the ketchup," I said. I slipped out of Damian's arm and marched over to the bullies. "Hey!" I said. "Back off my bro or you'll be hearing from me!"

The bullies rolled their eyes, but backed off. I turned to Dipper. He was glaring down at his salad, stabbing at it. "Don't let them get to your head, bro-bro," I said.

"I don't need your help, Mabel," Dipper grumbled. I sighed. Damian was walking over to us. "Is their a problem?" He asked.

"Yes," I said the same time Dipper said, "No."

I sighed, exasperated. "My dear brother has suffered a mental trama called a break-up a few days ago," I said to Damian. Dipper sighed. "Mabel-"

"So now, he's a loner who sits here and mopes around. I mean, it was his first real girlfriend, but still. He'll get over it."

"Mabel," Dipper growled at her.

"And that was right before he was going to ask her to prom! The horror, right? And now she's dating Jack, starting a week ago. The little blond backstabber totally cheated on him!"

Dipper bit his lip. "Mabel, please-"

"So now," I concluded. "It's my job to find someone else for him to date."

"Maybe I enjoy being alone," Dipper murmured.

I stopped, realizing I was hurting his feelings. "Oh. I'm sorry, Dipping Sauce. I didn't mean to-"

Dipper shook his head. "It's fine. I'm find. We're all just...fine."

Damian was awkwardly standing to the side this his hands in his pockets, not sure how to respond. "Well," I said to Dipper. "If you ever need anything, just talk to me, okay?"

Dipper didn't answer.

I sighed and walked over to Damian, taking his hand. "He can be a little hard to talk to at times."

Damian nodded. "So..." he said awkwardly. "About the prom..."

I smiled up at him sadly. "Sorry Damian, but unless I can find a date for my brother, he'll have to come with us. Is that okay with you?"

Damian smiled. "As long as we can have a couple dances, just the two of us."

I smiled. "Of course."

I knocked on Dipper's door. "Go away." He grumbled, which I took as a nice come in. I opened the door and saw Dipper curled up on his bed. "I thought you were doing homework."

"I was," Dipper grumbled, clearly annoyed I was in here.

I jumped onto his bed. "You okay?"

Dipper shot me a glare. "What kind of question's that?"

My small smile faded. "Oh, yeah." Dipper was used to cheering me up after a breakup, not the other way around. "Sorry."

Dipper sighed. "I was an idiot to think she was actually into me."

I rolled my eyes. "Please, Dipper," I said. "She's an idiot for thinking she could actually cheat on my bro and get away with it!"

Dipper sighed. "I just...I don't know. I really didn't want to go to the prom until we started dating. Now that thing's done."

"Well..." I said slowly. "There is one person you could go to the prom with."

"No thank, Mabel. I've already had my heart shattered once. And I'm done with girls for a while."

I frowned. "Done with girls? Dip, this is your last year of high school! Prom's coming up and-"

"I'm fine, Mabel," Dipper grumbled into his pillow. "Just leave me alone."

Ouch. "Well...okay then."

Dipper glanced up at me and cringed. "Oh man, I'm sorry Mabes. I didn't mean-"

I held up a hand. "I know what you need. You need a nice night off. Prom?"

Dipper sighed. "I'm not going to prom, Mabel. Besides, I have no one to go with. I'd just be more of a loser then normal."

"I already talked with Damian," I said. "He said you could tag along with us if you want to."

"Well...maybe," Dipper muttered.

I smiled. "And I totally get if you don't want to. I mean, who goes to the prom with their older sister?"

Dipper glared at me. "Five minutes, Mabel. You're older by five minutes."

~

I couldn't stop smiling at the mirror. I loved me dress, which I had made myself, my hair looked presetable, and my make-up was on point. I slipped into my heels and knocked on Dipper's door. "You coming, bro?" I called.

"I'm not going," Dipper called.

"Aww," I said. "But...free food!"

"It's not free if you have to buy the tickets," I heard Dipper grumbled.

"Oh stop being Mr. Grouchy!" I said. "Tonight won't be the same if you're here moping in your room!"

"You'll forget about me in the exciment," Dipper said. The door opened. I stood three inches taller then him with my heels on. "Besides, you wouldn't want me to be bored, would you?"

I sighed. "Okay. See you, Dip'n'Dots."

"Aren't you're nicknames getting a little old?"

"Nope!" I said, popping the p. "Well, if your sure...Damien's gonna be here any minute. I'll see you afterwards, I guess."

"See ya, Mabel," Dipper said, shutting the door.

I sighed and walked downstairs. The doorbell rang. "I'll get it!" I shouted. I grabbed my purse off the rail and opened the door. "Hey, Damien!" I said.

He smiled. "You look beautiful!"

"And you look dashing!" I said with a giggle.

"You're brother coming?"

I shook my head sadly. "No."

He didn't ask. "Alright. Let's go."

~

The night was wonderful! I had a great time...until I found out that vampires were not like they were in the romance novels.

After a few dances, Damian took my hand, saying he had something special to show me. He led me to the back of the school building.

"What'd ya bring me out here for?" I asked. "Couldn't you have just given me whatever it is inside?"

"No," Damian said. "This is special."

He leaned in close and I expected a kiss, but he missed my lips and was going towards my neck. I shoved him back. "What the heck?" I asked. "What are you..."

I saw his eyes glowing red and this sharp teeth. "Damian..." I said. "You're a vampire!"

Damian hissed. He grabbed me by the shoulder and tried go get at my neck again. "No!" I said. "Help!"

"Hey!" Said an all too familiar voice. "Get off her, you creep!"

I saw Dipper out of the corner of my eye. I didn't care how he was here, but I was sure glad he was. "Dipper!" I shouted. "Damian turned out to be a vampire!"

"Hey!" Dipper shouted. "Get off my sister you bloodsucking creep!"

Damien was shoved away by Dipper. He shoved him harder then he needed to and sent him sprawling to the ground. I guessed his recent breakup was showing through. He was happy for me and all, but he did seem a little sour since the breakup. He was taking it out on Damien. And hey, what was a better stress reliver then getting rid of a vampire trying to kill me?

Damian jumped up again and hissed at Dipper. His nails turned into razor sharp talons and he lunged at Dipper. Dipper ducked and Damien soared over him. From my purse, I grabbed the pepper spray and attacked Damien with it. He withered in pain, grabbing at his eyes.

"What's a vampire doing here?" Dipper wondered, mostly to himself.

Damien jumped up again, his eyes glowing red. "You're gonna regret that!" He hissed.

He lunged at me, but I must have done something to his eyesight, because I simply had to step out of the way before he went flying past me, face first into the wall.

"Mabel, are you okay?" Dipper asked, running to my side.

I nodded. "Yeah. What are you doing here?"

"I-" Distracted by our conversation, Damien had lunged at Dipper, knocking him to the ground. He hissed and pinned Dipper down. "I'm gonna rip your throat out, punk!"

I unstrapped my heel and hit Damien in the back with it. "Get off my brother!" I screamed at him.

The scream must have hurt Damien's delicate ears, because he winced and Dipper shoved him off when he wasn't paying attention.

"What are Vampire's weaknesses?" I asked Dipper.

He had memorized Grunkle Ford's book all those years ago, and he could still almost quote it. "Of the things we have...I think we can use," he dung in his pocket and brought out a peice of garlic bread and threw it at Damien, who stared to glow and scream in pain. "You haven't seen the last of me!" He screamed. "I'll get both of you!" Then he ran off.

We glanced at each other. "Garlic bread?" I asked.

Dipper shrugged. "I just...I thought he was a vampire from the moment I looked at it. And, well, we had spagettii for supper, so..."

I gave a snort. "Once a monster hunter, always a monster hunter, right Dip?"

He smiled. "I guess so."

"Well, now that your here, and I'm dateless, you wanna go have fun with all those normal people?"

Dipper smirked. "Sure Mabel, but I'm not dancing."

"Oh yes you are!" I said. "I know! You can dance with my friend Miriam!"

"No."

"But-"

"No."

I sighed. "Fine."
