Pyper has only ever seen red twice.

The first time was during august. The ground was scorching hot and she had just found some decent shade away from the dead. It wasn't much but for the next ten minutes it was definitely home.

She stretched her legs out and considered resting her eyes for just a moment, falling victim to the summer heat and hot migraine resting on her temples.

But it wasn't long until a man came around the corner asking for all her things or else he'd kill her.

It was like a flicking a switch in her body because she couldn't get a solid moment to herself. And she spent way too many times allowing people to get one over her. She was exhausted and frustrated from starvation, the last thing she needed was some fat bald man waving a gun at her and calling her dumb.

Pyper just about had it.

She offered her bag with one hand before using her dominate one to knock the gun out of his grasp then beating him in the head with it.

But then came a large bolder and she couldn't get herself to stop. Not until the tears were flowing and all she could see was bits of his brain scattered across the ground.

She fucking hated being alive. And yet still couldn't find it in her to just finally die.

The second time Pyper saw red was exactly three seconds ago.

Then suddenly she was on top of a girl punching her face in with no remorse. Pyper hated when people used slurs to insult others.

It wasn't everyday that ellie williams was getting name called for her sexuality, let alone another girl defending her violently. Some folks in Jackson were more tamed than others but still, a few bad seeds lingered. She was so caught off guard seeing someone else defend her that she almost didn't know how to react until people started running over to pry Pyper off the other girl.

"And if you ever use that foul language again bitch, i'll break your fucking femur's with my bare hands!"

Ellie watched as Pyper thrashed about in tommy's arms while maria was screaming for everyone to back away. The girl Victoria — who fell victim of pypers hot anger, was busy spitting out blood and wiping her nose with the back of her hand.

By now Joel came in with two other guys to help pull Pyper away from the scene while she continued to curse and fight back.

Pyper ended up inside a cell just a bit later as punishment. Maria wanted her to think about her actions then tomorrow she would be forced in the stable to clean up after the horses.

Losing her family was what made her latch onto her friends with an iron grip. She wouldn't let the only people she had left in her life slip away so easily when death was constantly knocking on their front door.

Pyper had only known Ellie for a few short weeks since she arrived to jackson with Joel. She had no idea that in this particular moment — was when Ellie william's fell hopelessly in love with the girl.
