2 HOURS BEFORE

Anthony's POV (tony)

"Ugh, shit." I woke up with a banging headache, "Where am I?" I looked around to see a photo of (Y/N) and this man beside her, he had a bow and arrow. This must be (Y/N) house, "Well no shit Sherlock, why would I be abducted from a guy that is next to (y/n)" I joked realizing there was nobody in the room to laugh at my joke,

I got my earpiece and glasses out of my jacket pocket and quickly put them on. The glasses seem foolish, but I looked good in them. On a serious note, the glasses were used to house my artificial intelligence interfaces J.A.R.V.I.S. "Jarvis" I called out, "yes sir" Jarvis replied.

"What time is it?" I asked as I looked around the workbench. "It appears to be 12:14 am sir" Jarvis answered, I glanced at the gadgets in front of me and some papers on top of a burnt file.

I was more intrigued to look at the gadgets first. They were black around the sides and white on the interior. "Jarvis?"

"yes, sir?"

"What are these crap weapons?" I asked for an analysis, looking more closely at the item., "I don't know this tech, It's not mine. Well, at least I know she doesn't steal from me." I joked. "it seems to be an electrical weapon?" I inspected, (y/n) and I went to M.I.T. together, It reminded me of the course we took on Electoral forces balancing together. 

"Nice craftsmanship" I smirked. "The weapon can deliver powerful shocks from what it looks like two shaped bracelets." I played with them until the weapon lit up with red lines, they're activated.

"It appears they are prototype gauntlets with electrical weapons, created by S.H.I.E.L.D.'s Tech Directorate, They can be effective on the range and their wielder to electrocute their enemy on contact."

"Hmm," I hummed. "S.H. I.E.L.D?" I placed one gauntlet into my pocket and continued to look through some more things. I picked up the papers that said important and scavenged more through some other photos. 1 page had a burn mark on it, I read as my eyes grew.

The papers were a part of SHIELD again, but why did she have them just by the look of the folder it was old and fragile.

"Read these." I demanded,

"Right away, sir" Jarvis obeyed, I continued to observe her living space.

SHIELD has no recorded of these files."

"well can't you dig deeper," I asked

"Scanning..." There was a slight pause, I continued to read the single piece of paper to myself. "Mind reading? (Y/N) could read any mind as long as she wants to, she also has to be touching the person to read their mind... etc. Side effects, headaches, bloody nose, fatigued". The rest was cut off from a burned stain. I continue to read out loud, "She also has the ability of tel-" I couldn't read the rest, it was burned out but there had to be another page. I continued to look around, I found a bunch of other things in here but no information. I found her suit and a camera with a lot of pictures of I guess her family.

"Sir, it seems this file has been missing for quite some time now from an organization called 'hydra.' It's completely erased from the grid, but I may be able to get more information if you have another sample of the file." Jarvis informed. I hardly was paying attention to the last part of what he said when something caught my eye. It was a burned paper in the trash bin. 

"Jarvis". I asked

"Yes sir?"

"Can you scan this paper its burn but can you try"

"As I informed you previously, I could be able to scan the outer base of the hydra hard drive from your fathers work but it seems you may need to go to your lab in order for me to find the rest of the file, we don't have the right equipment at the moment." Jarvis said politely.

"Welp, okay" I responded.

I dug through more papers, dropping some items to the floor on accident, but the door interrupted me. It was (Y/N), I must have lost track of time messing with her toys and she did not seem happy about it.

"Why didn't you tell me?" I asked, quickly I hide one of the papers from the file.

"Tell you what?" she asked, but she was just glaring at me.

 Man, she was pretty but I knew she wouldn't forgive me even if I begged. I took a momentary pause as I admired her beauty, but shortly after I rambled again. "That you made all this cool stuff, I might use it for the company. Orrrr You could just help me with some of these. Some of these things are actually pretty cool." I lied they're actually crap, but she couldn't know that I was snooping around through her stuff.

"Haha it's just a hobby" she huffed looking relieved, but you could tell by her posture she wasn't okay.

"Let's go get something to eat and we can discuss what you could do with my suits" I smiled winking at her. Walking past her, I slid the paper into my back pocket as I distracted her by throwing her gadget onto the floor.

She picked it up and notice something was off.

"It's 4 in the morning." she replied.

(Y/N) and I weren't really as close as we used to be. We used to be close, but I grew distant from her. The thing is, I didn't want to hurt her; she was the love of my life and everything I touched just turned into dust. Before I became ironman I said hurtful things, I hurt her and it takes a lot for me to say that. But when I got abducted, all I could think about was her I thought pushing her away was the best option but it wasn't. And when I got back, she was gone. 

She allowed me to go first with her arm extending out the door, saying 'ladies first '. I walked up the stairs pretty fast, but something caught her eye in my butt back pocket. I took off my glasses and tried to smash them in the same pocket as the papers, but I knew she saw something from my pocket. I quickly jogged into my ironman suit that was now in the living room.

YOUR POV

That was close.

I can't afford to let anyone know that I have powers not even SHIELD, they'll turn me into one of those lab rats. I have to read Tony's mind just in case.

 I thought to myself while Tony came up from the basement and looked at me. "ready?"

I shook my head no.

"Then Meet me at the stark tower at 5 am in the penthouse, I have a bunch of questions to ask you, (Y/N)" Tony stated as he quickly put his mask trying to avoid my touch, it felt like I was a little girl playing tag again. I nodded as he rushed out of the door and blasted off my lawn. 

As I got ready, I grew more and more anxious. "What is he going to ask?" You couldn't wrap your head around thoughts that were flowing around. I got a little too anxious so I texted him I have errands to run so I won't be at his penthouse till 7 pm. Instead of getting ready, I went for a jog, making me feel like sleeping and falling back to sleep through the entire day. I haven't been getting enough sleep with everything that's been going around, I hardly had enough time for myself.

Hours later I was ready to head to the tower, I noticed today was my day off, so I wore something casual. I drove to stark towers, got to the penthouse and Tony isn't anywhere to be found, but you remember what he said.

"I have one of those two " ( a secret basement/lab)

I went downstairs and found him shirtless working on of his suits. It shocked him to see you by the doorway. There was a small gaze between the two of us but was broken when he spoke. "How'd you know where to find me?" He said confused.

"You told me you had a secret basement 'like I do' while you were wasted." You said eyeballing his chest.

"You like what you see? Take a picture It would last longer." He smirked at you. With that cockiness he has, his ego was shinning brighter than your future at this point. 

 "whatever" I playfully rolled my eyes, "Are we going to eat I'm starving, and don't tell me to get food cause it's my day off!" I joked, I forgot how it used to be when we used to joke with each other, nobody would get our jokes except for us.

He laughed "no it's all good, I actually want to take you out to eat. You know a little fondue." he winked.

"You really want to go to eat with me, you don't even know me that well. " I fake a laugh, ignoring the voices that stormed my brain.

"Yes, I do." Tony said with a straight face, there was a breathing space. " I know you (y/n)" he smiles lightly. 

I ignored the smile, " Mhm, then what do I get for breakfast then if you know me so well?" I jokingly asked, trying to ignore the tension.

"I see you eat that over-easy egg sandwich, every day with a protein shake. I know that's your favorite, now I have to admit it's really cute. " He blurted out loud, not noticing what he said.

You blushed a little because he called you cute.

"You pay attention! I never knew that THEE Tony Stark actually pays attention." I chuckled,  showing a lot of sarcasm.

"See! I always do, now let's go." he said squinting his eyes without taking it offensively.

Tony quickly grabbed a sweatshirt because it's raining outside. As you go in the elevator, you thought to yourself.

I need to touch him.

that sounded wrong, teheh.

I was about to touch him until he asked me a question, "How'd I get in your house?". 

You answered with a straight face, "You were drunk and I found you in the front of my house." 

We exited the elevator and walked to happy Hogan(His chaperone/bodyguard) who was waiting for tony in the lobby. He opens the door to the car for Tony, but I slid in first.

"Thank you" I said with a smile. I entered the car, but I heard Tony say, "I'm sorry about that by the way, and thank you for taking care of me." 

"It's fine, just give me a heads up next time, or maybe don't even come at all next time." I chuckled. 

We arrived at this place named "dynasty"

Walking inside it looked so expensive even the food did. This place had so many people it was too crowded to even walk past the door. Tony was carrying a briefcase with him like he's about to sell his company. 

"what's with the briefcase?" I asked, trying to start a conversation.

he opened his mouth but a stutter came out instead, "uh- it's nothing." He tried to push the conversation to the side.

We passed everyone in line and were placed upstairs, supposedly that's where the important people sit. We both sat down, but there was silence roaming around us until tony broke the silence once again. 

"you look amazing"

"thank you..." I scoffed "so do you " 

"I know" he laughs. A waitress comes up to us and asks us what we would like to drink. We ordered water first before we got a little more comfortable.

We began to talk a lot more filling the void of silence with words, We talked for an hour. " Hey..." I grabbed his hand feeling a little more comfortable, "why did you abandon me like that?" I asked bluntly. The question shocked him, but my face showed no other emotion but hatred.

His face sadden, "Now that I think about it, it was just really complicated. You wouldn't understand, i-" out of nowhere, he was cut off by a loud explosion that hit both you and tony. There were other people in the building, You quickly try to get up to help but everything felt weak and heavy surrounding your body.

Tony gets up and comes to you in a rush "(Y/N)! (Y/N)!" He yells out. You begin to regain consciousness and saw Tony struggling to wake you up.

"I'm okay, I'm okay." While getting up, you see tony transform into his suit with one click of a bottom on his briefcase. "OHHHH makes more sense now." I chuckled, the moment was ruined when you realized the fire was getting aggressive and spreading everywhere. You saw everyone trying to get to safety, "get everyone out! I'm going to help the ones who are stuck" I yelled through a flame of fire between the two of us.

"NO! I'm not leaving you, not again" He refused to take your order.

I was about to say something but instead; I saw a piece of the ceiling about to fall on the waitress, but I stopped it with my power. It confused Tony, he saw you holding up a piece of the ceiling with your mind. "I said GO!" I yelled, it was like pins and needles were ripping through my skull when I used my powers for the first time in months.

Tony flew everyone to safety, but I ran to see if there's anyone else left.

You started to feel weak from all the smoke that was making you slow down. You begin to cough but see a man unconscious to the right of where you were standing. The man was stuck under a piece of the ceiling. Slowly, I used my powers to release him with all the energy I had used, Blood appeared to stream down my nose. The man regains consciousness when he felt less weight on top of him and ran slowly to safety.

You run to see if there was anyone left while wiping the blood off your nose.

 Everything began to feel weak, I couldn't feel my legs because of how much energy I was losing and the amount of  smoke I was inhaling.

I lost consciousness and balance before fainting, a shadow appears out of the distance.

It was tony, Tony grabbed you and took you around the block making sure you were okay. You felt scared, he knew about your ability. He knew everything. When Tony got out of his suit to grab on to you more carefully, you felt his skin.

He knows everything.
