I'm just going to start by introducing myself as an author, if you haven't already read my profile bio. My (nick)name is Tori, and I'm only 15. I can imagine many of you will click out of my book on hearing that. But really, please don't. I've worked really hard on telling Cierra's story, and she's like my child lmao.

I also know that English is NOT my first language, it is my third, and I, as any other human, make grammatical and spelling errors. So, feel free to point them out; I prefer to correct my mistakes than have people read and re-read my mistakes without telling me. I also deeply appreciate constructive criticism of my work.

THE BOOK IS LOOSELY BASED ON AN AMAZING SONG BY AlecBenjamin, ABOVE! HIS MUSIC IS SHOCKINGLY BEAUTIFULLY WRITTEN.

Now onto the story. The kingdom, Escozor, is set in some weird AU (idk, ok) where Spanish culture is present but not predominant, so the Spanish language is only used as some exclamations/expressions/phrases. If you're Spanish, feel free to correct me anywhere I'm wrong. I like to think I know what I'm doing because I'm Portuguese, but I really don't.

Synopsis:

"Are you not afraid of death? La muerte? It stares you right in the face."

Stunned, the prisoner hesitated, then said, "You stare me right in the face, and afraid of you is something I am not."

Snickering, the prisoner added, "Your Majesty."

The new queen has promised to lead Escozor into a new age of prosperity and justice. But the people of her kingdom are doubtful of her youthful and dark tendencies, and the kingdom trembles under her rule, as she rises to what she believes is power. Her lands and her people are crumbling and falling at her feet, but that is not power.

Troubled by her past, Queen Cierra leads her kingdom into a new age, but it does not speak of prosperity and justice. It reeks of death and fear. And Queen Cierra watches with the blood on her hands.

When someone defies her, Queen Cierra vows she will destroy anyone who tries to take her title from her head. But her fragile past is full of defiance— full of someone who never believed in her crown.
